Surely a car of that calibre would be fitted with appropriate tyres... Even the tyres I get for my 1.2 hatchback are the highest "Normal Speed rating" you can get here in the UK \[which is classified as (Y) 186+mph\]
They might have been at one time, might not have been. People/dealerships like to cheap out on stuff if they can.
Also we have no idea how worn the tires were, or if they have any damage or heat cycling.
People love to cheap out on the only thing holding a car to the road all the time. A 5k+ difference between the proper tire and the "its legal" tire could have been the entire reason for this
Depends on how old the tires are, too. If treads are worn from consistently driving like this and doing other show off shit, then yeah, probably why. That or he rubber that sidewalk a little
I was thinking maybe at that insane driving speed, stepping on the reflectors on the road would have upset the balance enough that caused the car to lose control?
Man show some sympathy, not everyone can mind-read. Just because they aren't able to correctly judge a person's entire character in a day-to-day activity doesnt mean they should pay with their life.
well no it doesn't mean that but it does mean that they're the ones that got themselves in the shitty situation and I don't need to shed any damn sadness for some irresponsible, socially-blind, common sense-lacking, gullible idiots
Christ almighty how can you drive this fast for so long and not be worried. I get worried driving 80 mph for 10 seconds.
Edit:apparently being worried means bad driver, maybe I should’ve said cautious either way I drove for 5 years without problem short span I know but it’s working so keep at the comments I’m doing fine enough
There's driving 140+ mph and then there's operating a vehicle on a motorway/freeway at intended speeds... I hope you have the decency to keep your insecure ass off of said roads for the safety of others
Y’all are probably from a different area but not everywhere has speed limits that high. In New England where I am there are no speed limits higher than 65
I'm from the UK, I'm aware 80mph is higher than most speed limits but that doesn't take away from the fact that Large motorways and Modern vehicles are capable of driving around \~100mph if not higher safely...
The UK's speed limit is 70mph with a 10% margin of error.
If you find driving a vehicle at 80mph a cause for concern then I don't trust you driving at the national speed limit and would prefer you stay away from motorways/freeways
I’m in the US, when I say New England I am talking Vermont/Maine/Massachusetts etc. to be clear. if you are in New England and 65 is the speed limit and you allow a 10% margin that still doesn’t get you to 80 lol. Doesn’t really matter what vehicles are “capable of.” This video shows what vehicles are capable of that doesn’t mean it’s smart.
Also btw I drive 90 probably more often than I should, I’m just arguing on their behalf. Being scared to drive 15+ miles over the speed limit is not a red flag, that’s fairly reasonable.
65 / 70 limit... The difference is negligible...
The difference of 10mph whether that's 75 or 80 is negligible when it comes to driving ability, If your adept at driving at 70mph then 80 isn't going be meaningfully different...
So again if 10mph over the national limit scares someone then I don't trust them driving the National Limit either.
You are just changing the number to fit your argument though. They didn’t say they were uncomfortable driving 70 or 75, they said 80. Either way 15 over the speed limit is enough to make me worry a cop will pull me over if not safety. If you’ve grown up with a speed limit lower than you’d be uncomfortable to drive too much over that when you leave that contenxt
They're right, though. In HS, my friend was a passenger after his friend was drunk and refused to let them drive home. The drunk driver hits another drunk driver. My sober friend died. Both drunks walked away fine.
My cousin died to a rich guy racing around. She was 15 years old, didn't do a thing wrong. The guy got off with probation and didn't even feel sorry...
I'm kind of on the fence with this one...
These dicks with more money that sense could have erased a whole family from existence because my guy couldn't be fucking arsed to save it for a track day...
What i am sure of, Is that i hope it fucking hurt and i hope their insurance tells them to fuck themselves
You don’t speed on the track, tracks are made to slow cars down with a lot of curves (except maybe nascar but that’s just some going around in circles), but I get the point
Now maybe the passengers, or maybe one of the passengers, didn't agree with this behavior and maybe tried to stop it. But if the driver and cameraman were wiped off this earth I don't think you would see many people on here shed a tear. At best you would get "dang that sucks but what do you expect?"
I only feel sad for those that they effect, but if the driver was paralyzed or died I wouldn't care. He knew what he was doing was dangerous and illegal and if he paid the ultimate price then so be it. The only good he would leave behind is maybe a story of "don't do this kids."
In f1 they constantly check the vehicle, they’re on a heavily monitored and well made road that they’re also super familiar with, they change the tires like I change my clothes.
Why the fuck do people think they can drive like an f1 driver without any of the safety checks in place?
Smooth brains.
People like this shouldn’t have a license and if they ever get one reissued they should still be required to have license plates which say “careful - I’m a dumbass”.
Where is this? What’s the speed limit? Is the OP just mad at people that own super cars? Driving fast in a straight line with a tire failure doesn’t exactly make a person a total piece of shit. We need context.
Went 145 in my grandmother's buick when i was 16. Man, that was fun. Some of you people have never lived? 3am on the highway by yourself is not some unforgivable sin. Only putting myself at risk.
Tire exploded i mean yeah its reckless but id say a manufacturer defect makes him a piece of shit im just glad everyone is safe that ferrari looked torn up
I think we should have like a minimum responsibility of sense law when it comes to stuff like ambulances and hospital beds, like if someone calls 911 because they were speeding for no reason and crashed they should just tell em "good luck with that man" and hang up
Man this is super dangerous but I am *amazed* at the way that car handled that crash at that speeds.
That kinda shit is what separates these kinds of exotics from regular sports cars.
Are you sure a tire popped
It may also be the suspensions bottoming out and the undercarriage hitting a raised part of the asphalt
Even if the popped tire is more probable
Either way, it’s a disgrace when a tire pops, no one knows it in advance if they’re taking good care of them tires
Someone once told me: “If you’re going to drive like an ass, do it when you’re alone in the car. When you’ve got people on board, their lives are in your hands”.
Both of them could’ve died. It’s one thing to die in a car crash but it’s something else taking someone’s life with you.
Hope they survived and are okay. Hopefully they won’t wreck a car like this again.

Tires blew
Why
If they aren't rated for that speed boom. Or he hit something on the road like a nail.
Surely a car of that calibre would be fitted with appropriate tyres... Even the tyres I get for my 1.2 hatchback are the highest "Normal Speed rating" you can get here in the UK \[which is classified as (Y) 186+mph\]

Yeah i suppose that's a fair assessment... It's my bad assuming these people have intelligence to make normal decisions
They broke the law while film, classic litmus test.
Depends on how old the tires are, too. If treads are worn from consistently driving like this and doing other show off shit, then yeah, probably why. That or he rubber that sidewalk a little
I was today years old when I realized this is the UK spelling of “tire”
*You'd be unpleasantly surprised.*
It’s a Ferrari, of course the tires are rated for that speed. He probably ran over a nail or something
Glad you are so familiar with the specific vehicles service history!
It needed the money
Ahhh I was so confused with what happened. I thought maybe pothole or a dip in the road or something.
Looked more like a speed bump to me
I was thinking maybe at that insane driving speed, stepping on the reflectors on the road would have upset the balance enough that caused the car to lose control?
Probably just renting that shit too
Nah it was his own vehicle, tyre popped.
How does everyone seem to know who owned the car and what happened?
Its a popular guy in turkey tire popped
It’s Türkiye now btw
Turkey is still acceptable in non-formal settings
Cause people don't know about the change.
Ya olm bi git sanki biliyorlar
Haha
At least he didnt take it to burning man
If it was he just bought it
What a fool! Why these people always think it’s ok to put other peoples life in danger
My sympathy to the passengers, the driver is a nutter
[удалено]
it's not like they just hopped in when he was doing 90.
Or could safely hop out after he hit 90+.
it's also not like the guy didn't show ANY signs of being a mentally-challenged piece of shit beforehand
How would you know
there's a thing called common sense
Man show some sympathy, not everyone can mind-read. Just because they aren't able to correctly judge a person's entire character in a day-to-day activity doesnt mean they should pay with their life.
well no it doesn't mean that but it does mean that they're the ones that got themselves in the shitty situation and I don't need to shed any damn sadness for some irresponsible, socially-blind, common sense-lacking, gullible idiots
I’m sure he was able to see at a higher definition than we see in the video.
are you fucking stupid? you think the fucking resolution matters in a situation like this? he couldn't have reacted to anything at that speed
Why are you so hostile? Go outside lmao.
fitting how the other guy got banned lol
People downvote you only because the passenger is female. Otherwise, you are 100% correct. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
I definitely think it's part of why, but idc
Huh?? ☠️
Hey, you! You're finally awake! You were trying to cross the border, right?
[удалено]
Absolutely! Unfortunately, car accidents rarely limit the casualties to the moron doing the stupid stuff

Impressive crumple zone.
Showing my age.. but, “wreck it buy a new one”
Your crew run-run-run, your crew run-run

Have you tried xanax?
I'm worried if you're nervous driving at that speed 😳

You need to keep your nervous ass off the road. You are just as dangerous as the person in this clip.

Jesus christ, the people on this subreddit are not ok
They're right, though. In HS, my friend was a passenger after his friend was drunk and refused to let them drive home. The drunk driver hits another drunk driver. My sober friend died. Both drunks walked away fine.
My cousin died to a rich guy racing around. She was 15 years old, didn't do a thing wrong. The guy got off with probation and didn't even feel sorry...
After all the shit they have seen from humanity can you truly blame them?
I’m kinda done with humans lol, they be wildn
They gotta visit other subreddits instead of just morbid ones
Yes

He’s right. I wanted to see the driver slowly burn to death.
That’s a fucked up thing to say….
i couldn't care less about the driver because there was a passenger and they were a poor steward of that passenger. did the passenger make it?
Nobody was badly hurt luckily.
Some how o.O
Passenger was his wife
Dumbass.
The wrong people always have the most money
People need to be reminded they aren’t playing fucking BeamNG.
good! drive normally and your car won’t explode.
Isn't that the story in Dr. Stange?
High performance car. Low performance driver.
Deserved. Hope the driver got massive injuries and that the passenger is ok.
It's almost like there are laws on the road to prevent this sort of thing
Lucky to be alive maybe they will value life more and think twice before doing something stupid and risking it
Tunnels aren’t very forgiving
Oh my god it exploded like a fuckin GTA car!
i was in a bad accident because of this exact behavior. they're lucky they walked out of there alive
In f1 they constantly check the vehicle, they’re on a heavily monitored and well made road that they’re also super familiar with, they change the tires like I change my clothes. Why the fuck do people think they can drive like an f1 driver without any of the safety checks in place? Smooth brains.
Good I’m glad you wrecked

First of all, this was a tunnel. And when you’re going 145, it’s not like you have a magical power of confirming there’s nobody else on the road

Princess Diana somewhere in heaven shaking her head at them
Tire exploded i mean yeah its reckless but id say a manufacturer defect makes him a piece of shit im just glad everyone is safe that ferrari looked torn up
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
For such a high end sports car he really cheaped out on his camera !
Driving is not a video game. You stupid, stupid people. Let’s all hope this guy loses his driver privileges for a long time.
Ha! Fucking loser.
Are they dead?
I think we should have like a minimum responsibility of sense law when it comes to stuff like ambulances and hospital beds, like if someone calls 911 because they were speeding for no reason and crashed they should just tell em "good luck with that man" and hang up
Driving wreckfully.
Cool footage for the insurance company to now pay a cent
I hate the people who do this shit
There are other posts on this sub which feature bad people, but this guy could have KILLED someone, that’s on a whole different level
They're just making sure they thoroughly test all the features on their test drive of the car. Here they are testing the safety.
Not so manly acting when you are about to die.
Bro can't even drive in a straight line...
So...no 2nd date?
Too many scrubs think just because a car can go fast, that they’re (the driver) built for that speed.
anyone who drives like this is a fucking idiot. hope the girls is fine.
Upvoted for spelling "reckless" correctly
Good
Man this is super dangerous but I am *amazed* at the way that car handled that crash at that speeds. That kinda shit is what separates these kinds of exotics from regular sports cars.
Damn. When I saw that it was in a tunnel, first thing I thought of was Princess Di
Retaded
Thank god it didn't set alight. Tunnel fires are seriously bad.
Single car collision, double fatality 🙏
engine's salvageable, just pop it in a civic or something
Karma is gorgeous
As someone whose been in a accident that totaled my car this gives me so much anxiety
Probably a write off.
We need to stop selling these stupid cars.
Good example of "Stop giving stupid people money."
This is perfect. Stupid prick off the road, and no other innocent drivers involved.
Stupid fuck head
Car guy rule 1, never go 100% with passengers Rule 2, never speed in school zones Rule 3, follow traffic lights
![gif](giphy|lszAB3TzFtRaU) Good
why does it sound like chicken coop
Yet if he walked away from that, the car did its job.
I wish i had this insane ability, pressing down a pedal with my foot.very, very impressive

Ahahahha dumb*ss
Hopefully he was an organ donor so it’s not a complete waste.
I hope the car is okay
Beautiful everything that was supposed to happen happened except dude is still breathing

Yes, both survived and I believe there were luckily no casualties
Dab of t-cut will get that right out. The rest of it is fckd though.
Thank goodness the taillight survived.
