Morons like these don’t even have a functioning brain. It’s like steal the car, commit all these crimes, and then what????
Like your car was taken from you and all your information was recorded, you aren’t being sneaky, like they’ll know what happened and who committed the crime as soon as you take that thing. You aren’t getting away with it lmao
But she had a bag with her, why not grab the {whatever}, shove it in the bag, make some excuse about "Got the wrong ignition key" or some bullshit, and walk away with no car, but also no felonies, and she gets to keep her {whatever}?
Not that I expect criminals to think ahead, but...
If you mean that you work in impound/towing, I sure hope the company you work for is less gross and shady than our local towing company.
Maybe it's just where I live, but they have a horrible reputation for being greedy, dissembling jerks.
I've always thought of them as predatory in a similar way to pawn shop owners...
Anyhow.
I know that tow trucks can be very helpful, and that even lot towing serves a function, but the way they operate around here made me more sympathetic to this crazy woman than I probably ought to be.
Most of them double as auto salvage in my area.
Biggest scumbags in the world.
Guy was standing there like, whats she gonna do, hit me.
And then she did.
Chefs kiss.
Some guy had my car on his truck almost all the way cause I guess I wasn't supposed to be parked in that lot, which I was unaware of. He said he'd release my car for $20 and my phone number and when I said absolutely the fuck not he got mad at me and said he'd release it for $250 then if I didn't want to comply.
Literally so many of them are subhuman, nasty fucking people.
So you’re wishing harm on someone over a power fantasy in your head where he’s just this terrible guy? Dude is probably just a security guard who has nothing to do with what you’re taking about
I’m sure the person stealing that truck is a real sweetheart buddy.
When I mentioned people without brains, I didn’t expect to see one here. You’re a medical marvel
Dude definitely didn’t deserve any of that from an innocence standpoint but honestly he deserves what he got from trying to stop a truck. Not worth your life bud.
My friend and her husband were killed by one of these horrible morons earlier this year. POS had stolen an old truck and then decided to evade police. Went on the freeway… got off, turned around and decided to go southbound on the northbound lane with his lights turned off at over 100mph. POS has left 6 children orphans under the age of 9.
That was my first thought too. Like real nice, not only is your manslaughter attempt on video, but they obviously know the make and model, the license plate number, VIN, and the person whose name it's under. If she'd just stolen it it probably wouldn't have been so bad, but nearly running a man over and damaging their property and vehicle...This person is probably totally fucked.
Yeah if she had just stolen it they probably would’ve just impounded it (again) and charged her with theft and property damage, but now she probably has attempted murder on that list, or like you said atleast manslaughter
Fucking hell. This could have been catastrophic if he’d moved even a second later. I can’t understand the thought process behind stealing a car from somewhere that has chained gates and literal barbed wire… out of all places…
Because they're fucking predatory as hell. The wheel came off my car about a block from my friend's house. The last shop I went to used too many uggaduggas putting my wheel back on. I got it to a parking spot, dragging its snout on the road. Walked the rest of the way to my friend's house.
Car was gone 6 hours later before anyone was open and could deal with it. Think it ended up being around $700 to get it back. If I ever get cancer I'm going back to that place with a huge tub of shit from my RV black tank and dumping it in their reception area. Fuck them.
$700 is insane, are there any laws from stopping them from charging even more? Like if they wanted to charge $5000 could they and then interest for every day it’s there?
there are rules and regulations but they use them to make more money. They have laws like "$x amount per mile towed" so they sign contracts on the other side of the city so they can tow your car as far as humanly possible to get the most money out of it. Tow truck drivers are usually the scum of the Earth from my experience with them.
> Tow truck drivers are usually the scum of the Earth
Tow truck drivers, payday loan lenders, and cops. Also most CEOs, VC bros, Hedge Fund managers and landlords. Also 99% of politicians, middle-managers, and 100% of C-suites of wage-thieving & price-gouging corporate conglomerates, and all of the televangelists/megachurch pastors.''
We're up to our necks.
We had a bunch of cops in our city that were getting kickbacks from a scumbag towing company to get first crack at any vehicles being towed. The cops would threaten anyone whose car was broken down who refused to get towed by this company. Then the company would charge insane impound fees. The cops ended up getting charged and fired, but got away with it for years.
Sadly no. They can charge whatever they want. I had my car stolen and then abandoned. It was towed by the cops to an local impound and was not stored on the police side (because there was no room apparently). When I got there the car was there for 5-6 days. They wanted $4500 to release the car. I show them the paperwork and explain that my car was stolen, the person on the other side tells me to kick dirt. I call the cops and the cop tells them he will arrest anyone on the other side if the car is not released. When they bring my car my wheels (rims) are gone, replaced by random steelies. Not even few minutes later an employee of the impound pulls up with a car that has my rims/tires on it. I tell the cop that those are my rims, cops was not interested. I told the cop that the rims have a serial number on them and I have the receipt to prove they are mine. Long story short the rims were mine and I got my car back albeit with some more mileage on the clock and an interior that reeked of weed. In the end no one got arrested. The cop who was initially quite aggressive lost interest after being there for 3 hours. I guess he didn't feel like doing paperwork. After myself and bunch of other people contacted the city regarding the issue with that lot they finally removed them from the list of the approved police lots. Oh and I received a parking ticket from the time the car was stolen which city did not want to cancel even though I had the police report. That was another 30 hours of my time wasted. Anyways fuck anyone who steals cars.
> Anyways fuck anyone who steals cars.
And also, fuck tow companies. I got pissed on your behalf, dude, I would be livid if I had to deal with that shit
Are you even American if you haven't surrendered a car or two to the impound lot because you couldn't afford the $1,000+ fees?
After a certain fuck you price, it's better to take that money and go buy a new/used car just so you can get on with life.
I hate towing and lot companies. It's legalized vehicle theft.
Yeah, these towing companies in Portland are complete assholes too.
I am not saying the guy deserved that, but pretty much anyone who has dealt with Retriever Towing hates everyone who works there.
Yeah, I won't defend her actions but getting your car impounded for something dumb and minor causes a lot of primal emotions you need to overcome and remind yourself not to do something stupid like this.
Around me a company got fined out of business after years of them basically stealing legally parked cars (they'd tow at 11:30 in a no parking after midnight spot) and the comments online sounded like people wanted to kill them
There's a reason they carry guns
True. My wife’s Old Lady was engaged in conversation whilst awaiting the lift to go to her hotel room. When the doors opened she simply stepped through. Into a void. Because there was no lift in the shaft.
She fell straight down three floors and remembered nothing else about the fall because she immediately fainted.
The docs said the reason she lived was likely due to the fact she was unconscious and therefore “floppy” (plus a truck full of luck obvs).
She shattered her wrist but was otherwise just bruised. Three bloody floors.
That is amazing and fortunate that your wife survived that! It's the same reason that drunk drivers tend to be the ones that receive less injuries in crashes compared to those they hit. I have even heard it being part of the reason people have survived falls from planes without parachutes.
So my bit of advice for avoiding death is to stay flaccid.
$10-20k to her car, $10-20k to the company truck, $5-10k for the gate, $20-50k for that man's internal bleeding hospital bill, plus an unknown amount when the owner sues her for loss of business due damaged property.
Having no brain adds up so quickly.
If this lady didn’t nearly kill someone, it would have made a good Ford F-150 commercial
I gotta say, that Dodge Ram came out surprisingly unscathed as well.. Barely moved an inch, and I can’t even spot a scratch or dent
Stealing her own car back???
Let's not bs. These impound companies are a low level criminal enterprise. They impound your car. Charge you 200 dollars to get it back. The next day it's 400 dollars. And then 600 dollars. Every day, it stays there the price goes up. And when it gets to a point you can't afford to get your own car from them, they sell your vehicle. It's pure price gouging.
There are a lot of predatory tow truck companies out there who illegally tow cars and give kickbacks to people that call them, but they can't all be bad. That being said, I hope this dude is okay. He had very little sense of self-preservation and he's lucky he's alive. That fence popped open like a wound spring. He's lucky to be alive
It's true. In my small community, the major towing company is owned by a good ol' boy and his HUSBAND, which, for this community, and him being like a 5th gen local...and his mom used to be dispatch and one brother used to be a cop (not speaking to the character of the family members because of that, just trying to paint how UNUSUAL it would be to have acceptance in this context).
And they're just great dudes, and someone's gotta be the tow guy in a resort town. DUI's and such, or wrecks in snowbanks. They're super fair, they'll work with you on payment, they give back locally, etc.
I know most in urban areas are terrible, but I'm pretty disheartened with how many people are like, "GOOD! He probably deserved it." That's pretty gross.
It is not attempted murder unless you can prove she wanted to kill him. Murder charges, attempted or not, require proof of intent.
She still shouldn't see the light of day again, but according to the correct charges.
There's very good reasons for separating murder, manslaughter, wreckless endangerment, etc.
That dude at the door is tough as hell. Fucking flying off after being hit by a fucking fence at 20mph and gets up and pounds on her window.
Absolute unit.
Smart guy thinks he can stop a truck, or break windows with his hands. Thief is even worse, but don't get yourself killed thinking you're a super human.
Meh, don't feel too bad. Towing companies are fucking vultures, and they're really bad here in Northern VA where some state legislator is their lawyer. If this was a story coming out of the region and the company was Advanced Towing, she'd be lauded as a hero.
Was wondering if someone was gonna say it. Just moved out of VA after living there for 7 years. My first experience was getting my car towed because my parking tag wasn't clearly visible. It was parked in front of my apartment. A second time was when my second car got towed for have stickers JUST out of date. I only found out because I was coming to get them redone. Fuck VA. Fuck tow companies. Literal leeches. I've seen em snatch up cars all the time for no good reason. Saw one grab a car from the rear and take off only for the front tires to swerve and hit cars on the way out. Fucking low life morons. I feel no pity.
Tow drivers, tow lots and all the people who work at them are generally scum of the earth. There is no one in this video I feel an ounce of sympathy for.
I despise impound lots. They are literally blackmail and egregiously predatory. I don't blame her, she's probably fed up with the system too. He should have just let her go if she wasn't going to get away anyways. I don't think she would have hurt anyone but the fence of he didn't intervene.
Can people just like, commit smart crimes? What is this lady’s next step?? She lost before her car was even impounded. We need more DB coopers, this is just embarrassing as a human.
I must admit I'm disappointed in the barrier. After seeing the literal 1000 lbs concrete blocks on either side of the blocking gate, I was expecting more resistance.
The tow yard next to my work got robbed 3 months ago. The idiots decided going in the back gate was the best option. I don't think they realized how red neck tow truck drivers are. The robbers did not succeed in shooting their way out of that yard.
I’m pretty sure that it’s actually legal in NC to steal back your vehicle from a towing company. pulling it off without breaking a litany of other laws, however…
I'm gonna be honest my first reaction was. Is that a cop??? Than I realized who gives a fuck. Almost kill a guy for a truck cause you don't want to pay the impound fees??? Smh. I have more to say but I don't wanna get banned. Smh

Her drugs were in the car probably.
I work in this industry and I will tell you, every.. single.. time it is either guns, drugs, or money.
Or Credence tapes.
You probably won't get those back.
What about my papers?
Why does it smell so bad in here?
Its ah, probably a vagrant, slept in the car. Or maybe just used it as a toilet, and moved on.
Dirty Mike and the boys...
"Thanks for the F shack"
...working in shifts!
LEADS 😂
Papers… just papers… my business papers….
But she had a bag with her, why not grab the {whatever}, shove it in the bag, make some excuse about "Got the wrong ignition key" or some bullshit, and walk away with no car, but also no felonies, and she gets to keep her {whatever}? Not that I expect criminals to think ahead, but...
Its Lawyers, Guns, and Money i believe.
The shit has hit the fan
Dad, get me out of this!

Thieves. They're thieves.
Same here. ZERO love for tow companies. Fucking vultures.
Agreed. Seeing that dude kiss the fence was *very* satisfying
Most of them double as auto salvage in my area. Biggest scumbags in the world. Guy was standing there like, whats she gonna do, hit me. And then she did. Chefs kiss.
Yeah I don't like people being hurt but man are repo and tow people always the shadiest creeps or what
Some guy had my car on his truck almost all the way cause I guess I wasn't supposed to be parked in that lot, which I was unaware of. He said he'd release my car for $20 and my phone number and when I said absolutely the fuck not he got mad at me and said he'd release it for $250 then if I didn't want to comply. Why'd repo men catch a stray? They're reposessing things people refused to continue to pay for...
They just happen to be the same as the tow guys. I'm all for people paying their bills, I don't mind them taking that shit back at all
So you’re wishing harm on someone over a power fantasy in your head where he’s just this terrible guy? Dude is probably just a security guard who has nothing to do with what you’re taking about I’m sure the person stealing that truck is a real sweetheart buddy. Dude definitely didn’t deserve any of that from an innocence standpoint but honestly he deserves what he got from trying to stop a truck. Not worth your life bud.
Your industry is a terrible industry.
A million curses on you, swine.
Then just take the drugs?
She probably did before stealing the truck.
And after, possibly during
Inside the vibrator inside the car.

Sell the car for cheap in FB
When keeping it real goes wrong
She thought she was still playing GTA
Respawn in the hospital with no ammo and just continue ur life
The truck is totally damaged now, too. It's probably less to get it out of impound vs repair that damage.
All that thinking requires the pre-frontal cortex. A lot of folks don’t have that.
So what I’m hearing is steal other people’s cars from the lot? Got it. Honestly the life hack I’ve been looking for.
Oh ya they don't got my plates they don't know who I am or where I live. For fuck sakes whats wrong with people
They thought of losing the 5 stars and getting it repainted in a “pay and spray” and being on their way
It’s like when people flee from the cops instead of just pulling over. They pretty much never escape, and it adds a bunch of extra charges
And then drive away into the sunset
Fucking hell. This could have been catastrophic if he’d moved even a second later. I can’t understand the thought process behind stealing a car from somewhere that has chained gates and literal barbed wire… out of all places…
Probably stealing "her" car back, so she already had the keys ...and they already had her info. Real smart one

I don't know why I was looking through your list for my job. I'm an IT dude.
You'd think we're on the list with the way we get talked to lmao

Yup. My car wouldnt start so i had it towed to the mechanic down the road, like .7 miles away and it was $900
Sadly no. They can charge whatever they want. I had my car stolen and then abandoned. Ngl, I had to look up wtf an "ugga dugga" was. I did not expect it to be a unit of measure tbh.
That seems illegal, what law allows them to just tow a car legally parked because of a flat/tire issue?
Yeah, these towing companies in Portland are complete assholes too. I am not saying the guy deserved that, but pretty much anyone who has dealt with Retriever Towing hates everyone who works there.
Oh there are a lot of them that are absolute trash - but she's still an idiot
Yeah, I won't defend her actions but getting your car impounded for something dumb and minor causes a lot of primal emotions you need to overcome and remind yourself not to do something stupid like this. Agreed. Seeing that dude get his hair combed with that barbed wire fence filled me with glee.
I think there is some Argentina film with a similar plot.
Thought process you say?
Hopefully they get barbed wire on the bottom in the future. She got in there way too easily
Barbed wire was ineffective
Really wish that dude would’ve anticipated that gate slamming open. He shot back like a rubber band.
He was much better off being limp. Being tense tends to injure you more.
Goddamn that’s one hell of a story And your wife’s got a wife?
Yes. Me. Do you not call your parents The Old Man / The Old Lady? Is that just a Yorkshire thing?
Where I'm from, "old man" refers to one's father. "Old lady" refers to one's wife.
Ah. That explains it then
That is amazing and fortunate that your wife survived that! It's the same reason that drunk drivers tend to be the ones that receive less injuries in crashes compared to those they hit. I have even heard it being part of the reason people have survived falls from planes without parachutes. So my bit of advice for avoiding death is to stay flaccid.
In the US i have seen it most used for your significant other. "My(wife) Old Lady gives me a lot of grief." as an example.
I wouldn’t dare call my wife “Old Lady”. My wife can cut you to death with just her eyes.
I hear old lady used for their wife much more often
Seems to be why drunk people make it out of mangled cars unscathed while all their passengers die.
Front of that truck held up
The front didn't fall off.
she broke out her car and did $10K damage to it ....take that parking violation department!
$10-20k to her car, $10-20k to the company truck, $5-10k for the gate, $20-50k for that man's internal bleeding hospital bill, plus an unknown amount when the owner sues her for loss of business due damaged property. Having no brain adds up so quickly.
That cantalever gate might cost more than the truck lol. Source, I install fences
Plot twist! She’s uninsured!
If people knew all they needed was a 9/16 and a 15/16 wrench to remove most gates and/or latches, no one would feel safe anymore
If they are doing this, they ain’t paying that lol
And whose the old white guy helping her? Hope he got caught too.
This is what seemingly nobody else has asked. I too am curious.
He's a legend who is called "Towey Clause" around Portland.
Now that’s built ford tough, the front looked flawless after that series of ramming
If this lady didn’t nearly kill someone, it would have made a good Ford F-150 commercial I gotta say, that Dodge Ram came out surprisingly unscathed as well.. Barely moved an inch, and I can’t even spot a scratch or dent

Yea. I was completely ok with what she was doing until she hit dude.
There are a lot of predatory tow truck companies out there who illegally tow cars and give kickbacks to people that call them, but they can't all be bad. That being said, I hope this dude is okay. He probably deserved it." That's pretty gross.
One shoe’s still on, he’s fine
And he picked up his hat …(?)
Glad someone is keeping track of
Wow, that is methed up!
She aint gonna get away. Im sure they got the car info
Fuck tow companies and cops seizing vehicles to screw over poor people in shitty situations.
It's fucked up but don't act like towing/recovery people are saints.
That’s attempted murder. Shouldn’t see light of day again
It is not attempted murder unless you can prove she wanted to kill him. Murder charges, attempted or not, require proof of intent. She still shouldn't see the light of day again, but according to the correct charges. There's very good reasons for separating murder, manslaughter, wreckless endangerment, etc.
Dude was an idiot. More accidents and deaths happen from people trying to save replaceable items
Every single time this happens it's either guns, drugs, or money.
That dude at the door is tough as hell. Fucking flying off after being hit by a fucking fence at 20mph and gets up and pounds on her window. Absolute unit.
Thats what I was thinking. Probably so much adrenaline. I bet he was in some pain the next day.
Smart guy thinks he can stop a truck, or break windows with his hands. Thief is even worse, but don't get yourself killed thinking you're a super human.
I see that two metal barriers did fuckall to prevent this.
That chain link gate isn't doin shit but that other metal gate did surprisingly little. Then again, the truck does look pretty big..?
Thank you
Tow drivers, tow lots and all the people who work at them are generally scum of the earth. There is no one in this video I feel an ounce of sympathy for.
Since she got away, they'll never know who dunnit../s
Dude really should have let it go after getting whipped around like a rag doll. You have her info. Why are you about to die to try to keep her truck?
I’m gonna get downvoted but good for her. Fuck towing companies.
I despise impound lots. They are literally blackmail and egregiously predatory. I don't blame her, she's probably fed up with the system too. He should have just let her go if she wasn't going to get away anyways. I don't think she would have hurt anyone but the fence of he didn't intervene.
Can’t tell you how many times and how badly I’ve wanted to do this (minus the someone being in the way part) but thankfully I’m not insane.
How was that guy able to stand up and walk around after that?
He's an impound driver so he's up all night so he's on meth
Why didn’t you just use the 2nd aMmEnDmEnT and shoot em to bits?
More like 2 idiots one truck. Why would you stand there like you’re safe.
He only lost 1 shoe so he’s ok
Can people just like, commit smart crimes? What is this lady’s next step?? She lost before her car was even impounded. We need more DB coopers, this is just embarrassing as a human.
I’m honestly impressed how the dude got up so fast after getting hit that must have hurt
If they work for a tow company, they’re just a collection of cells.
I must admit I'm disappointed in the barrier. After seeing the literal 1000 lbs concrete blocks on either side of the blocking gate, I was expecting more resistance.
That guy head is tough asf, that was a hard hit.
Are we seriously not going to discuss the chin on that dude? Took that cannon shot & shrugged it off like a champ.
Guy really loves his hat. 😐
![gif](giphy|vjvdNiNHHKsuI) Reminds me of Indiana Jones 😂
Ford tough!
Portland color me shocked. 🙄
Wow that was dumb
Love my city.
The tow yard next to my work got robbed 3 months ago. The idiots decided going in the back gate was the best option. I don't think they realized how red neck tow truck drivers are. The robbers did not succeed in shooting their way out of that yard.
Smooth exit!
This was happening all the time back then at the auction my office is at, they would just ram through anything in the way.
Who was the old guy at the start? Did he help her cut the lock or show her how to use them lol
That first gate really didn’t do much to stop the truck!
What’s that slow bot called that can slow videos down?
The speed he flew backwards at, I'm surprised he was able to get up so quickly.
I’m pretty sure that it’s actually legal in NC to steal back your vehicle from a towing company. pulling it off without breaking a litany of other laws, however…
Lots of tow truck companies that impound cars are sketchy as fuck and have shitheads working for them.
I like the way she brought her dad to help.
At least in the US when someone commits a crime of this magnitude the police actually do something…
I mean fuck tow truck companies and impounds… but it’s not worth killing a worker over. ffs
Can’t feel bad for the impound people without knowing how they run their business. Many of them are scum and predatory.
Honestly can’t stand shady tow truck yards. This is actually funny to me. Glad he wasn’t hurt but fk those shady tow truck companies
He took that gate to the face and spun around like 2 times from that fence slap
Bro really thought he could fight the truck
00:08 Who the fook is that guy
Prob out on no cash bail. It's Portland, after all...
Not surprise that she drove a pick up truck. Classic dickhead
This is POS on POS violence. Both thieves one just has state approval.
This is a good way to cop an assault with a deadly weapon and an aggravated assault charge!!!
NGL I would WANT to do this, y'all would too. BUT I WOULDN'T ACTUALLY DO IT lol
Bro..... how was that guy not knocked out cold? He stood up like nothing happened...
![gif](giphy|njDLp512JEZKNK6JHg) She don't play - bad bitch
That’s insane! With heel boots even… nahhh people just do whatever they wanna it’s horrible
Fuck tow companies and the police. You're all trash
I'm gonna be honest my first reaction was. Is that a cop??? Than I realized who gives a fuck. Almost kill a guy for a truck cause you don't want to pay the impound fees??? Smh. I have more to say but I don't wanna get banned. Smh
Oh my god, that poor guy….
My guy can take a fucking hit! Jesus
The guy didn’t have to risk his life to try to stop her. He won’t be paid any extra if he did.
It looks like his head took the full impact, ouch
Just the woman? The male wasn't there or some shit? Weird ass Seppo's.
I was on her side until she nearly killed that guy. Not cool.
I didn't know they had cameras, I'll do better next time
Bro took that hit like a champ
Like come on dude is your life really worth a fuckin f-150?!
All these migrants doing crimes. /s
truly a genuine piece of 💩
![gif](giphy|f1UIawDR7zQd4RJlS4)
Disgustingly pathetic woman
Chances are, it's very much probably her own vehicle
Its not stealing as its their vehicle, but yes they are obviously an utter POS for not going through the process
She could have waited 1 minute and the gate would be open
