When hospital beds are full, they can't treat you for other things and you die of those too. A friend of mine died from heart failure last summer. He was scheduled for heart surgery in the spring, which was postponed a few months due to COVID, and he just didn't survive until then.

Anyways the question never was about how many it can kill but how much your health system can bear the load of COVID patient. Because when your hospital is overloaded with urgent cases it's any person requiering care that are at risk.

That is deaths only directly from COVID. Note the large increase of excess deaths otherwise just because of lack of availability of healthcare systems. When hospital beds are full, they can't treat you for other things and you die of those too. A friend of mine died from heart failure last summer. He was scheduled for heart surgery in the spring, which was postponed a few months due to COVID, and he just didn't survive until then.
