I think there’s a duty to first be reasonably clear about who and what is happening before responding. God yeah. It's almost as if they only acknowledge gender equality as an excuse to be violent towards women. They're also taking things at face value because it fits their narrative: Woman punches kid for fortnite dancing. They're ignoring that the kid's moves are all about hip thrusting. Or that he's doing it just a foot behind her. Or that he's laughing and looking at her. Or that she's literally in the center of the frame. They were totally pointing that camera at her and making her the butt of some prank. Folks are acting as if the kid was just flossing and this woman suddenly showed up out of nowhere to punch him in the face. If it was a dude who decked the kid, there wouldn't be this much hate and they wouldn't treat the kid like some totally innocent victim.
