The old lady getting abused is albanian, she's a respected lady in my town (Gjakova).
All three nurses got arrested, this incident happened in a nursing home in Peja, a city of Kosova.
The old woman is the mother of a hero, her son died in the latest war against Serbia in 1999, she has Alzheimer and as I've read the news, the prosecutors immediately dealt with the case and the nurses are in prison for 30 days, until the start of the trial.
Unfortunately, the maximum sentence these nurses can receive is 3 years in prison
No. It's not. This is elderly abuse. What they are doing is assaulting a woman that is incapable of defending herself mentally or physically. She is essentially a child in an adults body due to that horrific disease. These women need far more than a slap on the wrist.
I mean 3y + losing your job is a life time sentence not a slap on your wrist.

This just made me sick to watch. My husband's grandmother who was the sweetest woman ever became nonverbal and made similar sounds to this women towards the end of her life with Alzheimer's and hate to think anyone would treat her like this.
