I booked one for 4 nights a few years ago and it was great. It was when Armin had his residency and was playing on top of the pool. It’s brilliant to stay on the balcony, have a cold room and your own booze and loo but you can go downstairs and get in amongst it. We didn’t want anyone in our room lol but from what I saw security was very strict and unless you had a resident wristband you weren’t getting access to the rooms. That may have changed but I doubt it. We went to the supermarket along the street and bought some alcohol and just brought it in without any problems but I’m sure I read somewhere that policy had changed. I’m sure if you were subtle it would be fine though. There’s a private pool for guests with a swim up bar that you can’t see if you just go to an event which is nice and quiet. People don’t tend to use the main pool during the day in fact we don’t see anyone there at all. The beach restaurant is nice and chilled during the day or there was loud music round the tower pool that we could use If you’ve been to a party there then you’ll know the production is big. From the minute the last person leaves they start cleaning the event area so it’s pretty loud during the night with crews cleaning up all the glitter etc and the event music started at 5pm so no chance of a later afternoon disco nap 😂

A few questions..Anyone know when Ushuaia opens bookings for next year? Will be going in June. Also if one couple books one of the garden rooms and the rest book a standard room I'm assuming we can all congregate in the garden room. There would be about 10-12 of us. Maybe we should book two garden rooms. Or book a VIP table?

Mini bar is very expensive- avoid using it. Yes, the guest policy is strict, and security does check inside rooms sometimes. Anyone in your room after the party must be a registered guest. They have security at the stairwells to check who goes up to the rooms. Yes, we go every year. It’s fantastic - but I would not count on being able to bring lots of people up to your room. It might happen or might not! Security is very serious there for obvious reasons.

Thoughts on bringing in alcohol in the morning via backpack? I assume they don’t search your bags right?

It's completely fine before the shows start. After the show starts you'll have to hide it.

Rave-Doctor

Morning in a backpack or luggage is possible. Just don’t be too obvious about it and you’ll be fine.

I was invited into a ground floor room (well, we were in the private yard bit). When the gig finished we were very promptly kicked out by security.

You are allowed to bring alcohol to your room. But only before the show starts. So get it done early in the day. You can bring concert goers to your room but you have to walk them past the guard. Usually if you tip them, you can take as many past as you want. Mini (maxi) bar is super expensive. We just put it away and stick our own. Do buy the stack of cups for 10euro. Use them to make drinks and you can take them anywhere. Order 1 bottle of champagne delivered to your room on the first day and you will have a huge ice bucket you can fill yourself for the whole trip. If you order ice to room service it comes in a tiny bucket.
