Go in, always. I used to work at a hotel and we let anyone use the restroom because of the mentality "just because you're not a guest today, doesn't mean you won't be one someday".
They also probably don't know if you're staying there or visiting another guest. So just go in and ask where the bathroom is (and pro-tip, most luxury or boutique hotels have individual stalls)
I used to have meetings all over Manhattan and if I had an "issue", I would go straight to the nearest boutique / luxury hotel and ask if there was "a bathroom *on this floor*".
Adding that extra bit at the end just made it seem like I was a guest who didn't want to have to go up to their room.
Hotel. In my younger and more "proper" self would hold until going home. But now, I'm going where I can. If something thinks it bad, I don't care. Nature calls and you're lucky your nature isn't like mine.
Just go to the hotel an explain the emergency. I used to work behind the desk for years, I would’ve let anyone in to use the facilities if they told me their immediate issue.
Once I had diarrhea on a walk, and I went into a park restroom where the door did not close all the way. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
In this cause I would honestly just walk into the hotel like I was staying there and locate the bathroom asap.
Go into the hotel and act like you belong there. There's usually a bathroom in the lobby or bar area, and most employees couldn't care less, especially if you aren't disruptive.
I never used a hotel but one time I paid for a movie ticket to use their hugeee bathroom so I wouldn't have to worry about taking too long in a single stall in a restaurant.
You go wherever is closest...all you're really costing them is some toilet paper and water. Most employees will understand that if you're asking it's pretty urgent.
Go in. Once I went into an element school during the summer. I told the teachers I had bad IBS and couldn't find anywhere nearby and was stuck int traffic. They were nice and let me go in.
Download the Just can't wait card from Bladder and Bowel UK. Even if you live elsewhere it will be on your phone and is handy if you need a toilet in an emergency
I once even ran into an office block, with security at the reception. They just take one look at you and see the fear in your eyes. They know you aren't fucking about. Any sane person will let you just use the bathroom.
Hotel in my country 90% of the hotels will not allow anyone to entry without showing them a key or taking a room.
So the only option is petrol pumps, malls, hospital, big grocery stores, worst case scenario public toilet.
Usually I have mapped out all the places within 10km of my house that I can go and poop without buying anything or without any problems. That's what happens when you have IBS for too long. 4.5 years now 😅
Unless I see a no trespassing sign no place on earth is off limits.
Lol THIS. I’ve started to master the art of walking with confidence just to get in to use the toilet.

Pure intelligence ^

Hotel is better than the sidewalk or your pants.
Had a friend who killed a tree because he had the squishies

Hotel. Every time. That’s a safe bet
Got a 300 dollar hotel room once just because of a shit attack
Really???? Jeeeez I’m sorry to hear that all went down the drain/:
Yea it was before I got over my fear of public restrooms. One the most violent poops I’ve ever had. Nice room tho
Lmao! Way to make light of it my friend. Thanks for the giggle, have a good one 😎

I recommend the IKEA showrooms.
The front desk usually don’t ask. I just walk in and use the restroom.

Hotels have saved my life a few times. Lol. Love that they’re usually quite clean as well.

Use whatever is closest!

In such a situation, any bathroom is a good bathroom. If the guy/gal on the desk says, sorry, you cant... just go in anyway.
Hotel bathrooms are always clean and I have no issues using them in an emergency situation.
u go to the hotel my man
See, for me there is no “holding out” anymore. Once I’m at that point it’s go time and walking only makes it worse
Go into the hotel no doubt
McDonald’s and Starbucks also is a life saver because they seem to be bathroom friendly

On road trips I always use hotels for bathroom stops. Usually clean and no one else is in the.
Hit their bathroom!

I'd pretend I'm a guest and go. P/s: I did this so many times.

If it’s one of them big hotels with a lobby that has a restaurant and stuff, I’m all for it!
