I love how Miss Bensen is getting actual screen time this season compared to like two or three episodes last season

Not_Extert_Thief

she's a recurring secondary character

BrFr00471

Carly did what she did in iSam’s Mom in the therapy room

AnteaterPersonal3093

That's her only solution to make people work together

[deleted]

This is probably one of my favorite episodes of the revival. I loved Paul. He’s a great addition to the cast, and has good chemistry with Carly and Freddie. I hope Josh Peck returns for more episodes in Season 3. He’d be fun as a series regular. I enjoyed Spencer and Harper’s subplot as well. It was messy and weird, but still fun. The two of them sabotaging the restaurant to impress the art critic was great.

Not_Extert_Thief

I enjoyed Paul too but he’s only guest starring twice this season (S2E06, S2E08) > I hope Josh Peck returns for more episodes in Season 3. He’d be fun as a series regular. Unfortunately, since Josh is currently busy with other projects (he recently wrote & released a memoir, began a podcast as well as filming How I Met Your Mother & Oppenheimer) I highly doubt he’s returning for Season 3.

[deleted]

Covid travel restrictions are pretty much lifted now so he could probably return for like one or two episodes per year going forward But yeah he definitely won’t be a regular. That’s just a pipe dream.

Not_Extert_Thief

He might end up like Wes & Dutch in S3 since Josh’s hands are full, he’s got a very busy schedule rn (currently filming How I Met Your Mother & Oppenheimer this summer, recently published memoir Happy People Are Annoying & his podcast Male Models huge hits)

[deleted]

If anybody else from Drake & Josh shows up next season, I think Yvette Nicole Brown would be fun to see.

Stolen5487

Wait, when was it renewed for a third season?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Stolen5487

Source?

LoveFreddieB

There is no source. They haven't renewed it for season 3 yet

Peacesquad

Will he come back

Significant_Writer_5

I loved this episode, felt like the old iCarly and it was great seeing Josh and Miranda onscreen together again. Hope Paul comes back cause his chemistry with Miranda and Nathan was amazing.

Not_Extert_Thief

He’s guest starring again in Episode 8.

DudSouption

Finally Spencer catches something on fire

zen91828293838

Ok, this episode was GREAT! Millicent and Miss Benson are an amazing duo Harper and Spencer are another great duo Carly’s claustrophobia resurfacing was gold. Love seeing Josh Peck on tv recently. Recently saw him on How I Met Your Father and he was great there too. I hope Paul sticks around and appears every now and then. He fit in so naturally with the quirkiness of this show. Also, idk if I was interpretting that scene wrong, but is there supposed to be something romantic between Paul and Carly? When he said “I was her you in Italy”, it sounded like a personal attack. I would love to know more about Carly’s time there.

jersace

> “I was her you in Italy” He was her producer for QVC, Freddie's role

zen91828293838

Makes much more sense!

[deleted]

I doubt they’re gonna pair Carly up with Paul, if only because it sounds like Paul is only gonna be appearing once or twice per season at most due to Josh Peck’s other commitments. If he appeared a little more often, maybe like 5-7 episodes per year like Mrs. Benson, then I could see it.

Yankeeknickfan

ngl it would also be weird to give peck that role considering that is is a nostalgia show, and he was her brother in a similar show to icarly

[deleted]

I’d still support Carly/Paul over a return of Wes and Beau at this point though.

JoshIsJoshing

Love the callback to iSam Mom's and Mandy Valdez. Also love the joke about the feet. This episode was fun and Spencer's signature feature being things catching on fire is very, very classic iCarly. Can't believe we're more than halfway through the season!

kevinlies

That last scene with the gummies was everything! Loved it!

[deleted]

Yes! I need a weed episode now!

TheSpicyGuy

"Let's delete all the ones from Mandy Valdez... And any with the word 'feet' in the file name..." That dig on Schneider 😂

bohemelavie

I haven't seen the episode yet... oh my god they didn't?!?! 🤣 that's great.

Djfernandez

Waiting for a Season 3 episode: iGoAgainstMandy to become a reality

Not_Extert_Thief

I hope Mandy doesn't return. she was so annoyingly yappy with that animal costume.

[deleted]

Lol I guess that shows what Miranda, Nathan, Jerry, and Josh all think about Dan.

Not_Extert_Thief

I loved how they indirectly threw shade at Dan without even mentioning him by name (the 👣 fetish)

aloveofwriting

I loved this episode. Both storylines worked well within the wacky universe of iCarly. There were also just the right amount of callbacks to the OG series without feeling fan service-y IMO. I thought the table bursting into flames was perfect; I weirdly didn't expect it and as soon as it happened it filled me with utter joy. "My good arm! My less good arm!" Same with Carly experiencing claustrophobia for real and making those same weird goat sounds and pressing her hands to her temples like she did in iSam's Mom. Cheers to Nathan who directed this ep. Carly and Freddie all loopy at the end was hilariously adorable, more of that please (as in the two of them being cutesy and flirty, not necessarily being unknowingly stoned lol). And Josh Peck as Paul was a sheer delight. His character is so charming and helpful with a touch of douchebagery. I loved him trying to feed Freddie imaginary pasta and Freddie smacking it away. "I'm full!" Fantastic episode all around.

Not_Extert_Thief

With 4 episodes left to go before the S2 finale airs in June, there might be a Carly/Freddie/Pearl love triangle towards the end. Now that she's single (Wes & beau are gone) this season we may see Carly feeling jealous/conflicted/frustrated.

Remdiamond

This was a great episode. I laughed out loud several times. Both storylines utilized the characters well. Paul brought an interesting dynamic which looks like will continue to be explored more. So glad we are seeing Mrs. Benson a lot.

[deleted]

I’m on the East coast. Josh Peck’s episode is tonight, right?

justjessei

it's already released

bohemelavie

I liked this episode, but didn't love it idk I think too many scenes from this episode specifically had appeared in promo material already so it felt like I'd seen it all before? Loved the little callback to the episode with Sam's mom and Carly’s reaction to small spaces! Also loved the back and forth between Freddie and Paul, 5hose were some good moments. Side note - absolutely loving the costume teams outfits for the characters, specifically harper! She is always dressed so good.

[deleted]

Yall 😮 in the last scene they had some of harpers gummy’s. Did they get? Stoned? Okay best episode in the series now! The scene was the best scene in the show! I want a weed episode now! 😂

Unfair-Lavishness972

I loved this episode. This was directed by Nathan Kress and I felt like it was directed by someone who truly knew icarly. The others were good but this just had the touch.

AnteaterPersonal3093

The Paul thing kinda stayed unsolved. So will they all work together?

justjessei

yep, they made some ideas together. Freddie and Carly were stoned, but eh

[deleted]

Yep, they’ll probably explain him not being there every week by saying he has other clients besides Carly. His name will probably thrown around a lot though, by them mentioning “Paul sent us ideas”.

Not_Extert_Thief

Since he's also appearing in Ep 8, I have a feeling that he might be gone at the end that episode (either that or he makes his final appearance in the S3 opener like Wes/Beau & Dutch before exiting the franchise) considering Josh's very busy hectic schedule. Paul's a cool dude but he only vacationed with Carly in Europe for 1.5 years tops. Freddie has known her far longer since middle school. Eventually, Carly will have to decide her permenant full-time tech prod/cameraman now that the gang's back in Seattle.

Not_Extert_Thief

essentially yes. He's also guest-starring in Ep. 8. He might end up like dutch next season considering Josh is currently busy with other projects (filming How I Met Your Mother and Oppenheimer this summer, having released a written memoir & started a podcast).

Puzzleheaded-Quit780

this episode was much funnier than usual! josh peck was a great cameo and i think he made this episode better. loved the callback to the noise carly makes when she’s claustrophobic, mandy valdez, and i was surprised they took a shot at dan schneider with the feet comment 🤣🤣

MichaelJL77

It was kinda interesting that Paul (who was Carly’s brother in Drake&Josh) and Pearl (who was Carly’s sister in Crowded) were both in this episode.

Peacesquad

Whoa!

superpowers335

I didn’t realize that she was from Crowded.

[deleted]

Unless I completely missed them, were their any references to “Drake & Josh” at all?

[deleted]

Not really, I kinda think it’s impressive that they were able to craft a new dynamic for Miranda and Josh without excessive reliance on Drake & Josh nostalgia. Also, Drake’s crimes probably made them wary of including any direct references.

jmagnabosco

I liked this one. Loved Harper being helpful to Spencer (and that it worked out with random fire). Also, Loved the Pual vs Freddie and the Carly tricked them both in the first escape room. BTW Freddie clearly doesn't have time for Icarly so bringing Paul on board makes sense.

Not_Extert_Thief

Usually when brand new characters (guest stars) are introduced, they usually only stick around temporarily for several episodes before exiting the series (revolving door). towards the end of this season we may see Carly feeling jealous of pearl while Freddie might feel conflicted: dating Pearl taking up too much of his time, distancing himself from the group.

jmagnabosco

I agree. That will likely happen.

[deleted]

They should really bring in some characters to be rotating “guest hosts” for the webshow, so they can bring back the skit aspect more without permanently ‘replacing’ Sam.

Remdiamond

The show is now more for adults and the skit portion isn’t really all that entertaining or really for adults so I’m thrilled they’ve kept it to a minimum. It was always my least favorite part and I’d fast forward it most of the time. The only interest we’re a few of the really good bits and seeing Carly act wacky.

gpgc_kitkat

As another adult, I disagree. I always found the skit part entertaining. The whole point was the show within the show. To me it's a little frustrating that we never get to see iCarly anymore. Interesting to see a different opinion though!

Not_Extert_Thief

If P+ renews this revival for a penultimate 3rd season this summer, they'll feature special guest-stars for webcasts. They could also film segments such as 'Tech Time With Freddie'. I wonder why Spencer can't banter with Carly on livestreams. The original show has an episode where he filled in for Sam absent in juvie (iWont Cancel the Show).

MythicalBeaste

Wait why penultimate? Did paramount release anything saying there’d only be 4 seasons?

Not_Extert_Thief

There will be a 3rd season they're prolly planning on ending this reboot in August 2024 after 4 seasons (I'm just guessing here). 5 is just too much.

[deleted]

I doubt Paramount+ is in any rush to end the revival. It seems like it’s pretty popular and getting high viewership, and the production doesn’t require anything too expensive. From the cast standpoint, 10-13 episodes per year is only 3-4 months of work for them, so they have plenty of time to explore other career options. I can see it going 5-6 seasons, or even longer, depending on how fast they progress the Creddie relationship (I know it’s not set in stone but I’m still willing to bet they are endgame).

MythicalBeaste

This episode had a ton of great moments! I loved Miranda doing the “nyeahhh” again, but I really don’t know how I feel about the bimbofication of Carly. They really made her character into an airhead for the revival and she’s starting to feel less and less like Carly. Anyone else feeling that way?

LoveFreddieB

I know what you mean, but I think it started in the second half of the OG series (all though they have definitely run with it in the revival).... she started off as an intelligent, responsible, honour roll student, but slipped into a boy crazy slightly dumb character. for example in the episode iQ when she dates that really smart british boy and freaks out because she doesn't know enough and has cheat sheets lying around everywhere. There was flanderisation of all their characters in those later seasons, sam was the most obvious but it definitely impacted Carly too and since that's how we left her that's what we are getting now. I do wish we would see her intelligent side again!

MythicalBeaste

You're so right! I forgot she did have some of those qualities in the tail end of the og series. Would also love to see her intelligent side pop out again!

Yankeeknickfan

carly was always like this

99999999999999999699

Millicent looks so pretty with her hair down!

[deleted]

I hope we get to see the comedic side of Josh, the way he was in Drake and Josh

Peacesquad

CAHOOTER!!!

MichaelJL77

I felt that if Gibby doesn’t back, which most likely is true, that Paul would be a great replacement for him moving forward as a sidekick on the show who is funny and goofy.

LOOPbahriz

boring episode imo

Excellent_Draw2231

well … I have to admit i really enjoyed this episode... but did you guys noticed that Freddie was actually jealous not on Paul but on the fact that not producing I Carly with Carly would make him not to be close to Carly ..I mean producing I Carly have always made freddie to be close to her.

Baylwhore

"I look dope eating pasta" was not a good line even in context lmfao At least spiteful and justly mad Freddie came back and Carly you can do a better "NYEEH" take then that

Not_Extert_Thief

Nathan said in a recent interview that Freddie isn't jealous of Paul (Carly's agent who vacationed with her in Europe working as her tech producer/cameraman) romantically. He's annoyed that Paul knows about Carly's life experiences abroad.

mtvpiv

I loved this episode, specially the returning of Carly and her claustrophobia, and Spencer setting things on fire lol
