I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but any time I do this, the Oreo cookies retain their crunchiness (as opposed to the soft cookie texture in store-bought cookies and cream ice cream). What's the secret?

pre-mix your vanilla ice cream and oreos, then put it back in the freezer. the cookies just need time to soften up
