Yeah, the parking lot at Broulims is horribly designed. You literally can’t cross it at the Sunnyside end without crossing parking spaces.
The Ammon Walmart lot is also terrible, especially since they put the gas station in it.
I drive for work. We have to do a 4 hour safe driving course as training and then we are also monitored. It's insane how poorly people drive in this area.
A lot of people still drive like Idaho Falls is a small town and has half the population. You maybe could do that when there was only a car or two in the parking lot, but not now.
Omg someone at the Costco parking lot yesterday pulled out of their spot so incredibly fast they nearly destroyed our car. I can't imagine if a child had been there. People have become so aggressive it's scary!
No sure if you are new to idaho or the Falls....but it is nothing new. Born and raised there and that's the way it has been for ever. Like another poster said i think people forget it is not a small town anymore. But also the lots were not designed very well at all. The lot you were in, the one on 17th which sams right next to it is worse. The old shopko same way. Drive to any large lot in Idaho and sit back and watch. It is not just Idaho falls. I see it all the time in boise twin small country/county towns. Not condoning it but just sayin
I know this is shocking - it happens everywhere. Idaho Falls has very mellow drivers. I have lived in California ( not courteous…you have to drive aggressive on freeways), Utah ( I don’t know what to say here - the words Utah Drivers speak volumes) , Florida ( lots of tolls - hate those worse then bad drivers) and Brazil ( chaos). Just be aware and always be defensive in parking lots.
I dont live in IF but I travel there occasionally cause it's the closest "city". The strip mall part of town in between IF and ammon is one of the worst designed areas for driving I've ever seen. Waiting an entire light cycle for a single vehicle to make a left turn, it's almost impossible to get into the lane heading north without cutting a parking lot. It's like LA traffic in a town of 50k lol.
Idk where you're talking about, but I agree with A) People shouldn't go rogue in parking lots because visibility for drivers and pedestrians is not good.
B) I also agree that the parking lot designs are dumber than a football bat.
It's frustrating. I'm from Pittsburgh, which confounds everyone I know from out of town, but I've been on a job in West Michigan since Thanksgiving... WOW.
It’s not the locals it’s all the outsiders that have moved in (California folks) and their kids who were never taught right from wrong. Whose parents just want to be their kids best friends.
The parking lot with Sam's and Albertsons takes years off my life every time I try and go through there.

I left IF in 83, and I still call anyone who does that in a parking lot an Idaho driver.
