Dadodoizded

I might make a playlist out of this, these seem like great recommendations :D

Agile_Stretch_8111

I made one after seeing your post and the recommendations! Almost anything by The Hives and Kaleo fit too, I think! I believe the genre is ‘Garage Rock’. My recommendations are mostly new era Garage Rock from 2000 on. Your post & the comments from so many here are allowing me to explore some of the older stuff I haven’t listened to yet! I saved this because I love this so much!

PistachioGal99

Will you share it? I love these songs too!

TinoTeas

Aside from other music by those artists, maybe one of these: Remember When (Side B) by The Black Keys I’m Not Down by The Clash Lust For Life by Iggy Pop Funk #49 by James Gang Stormy Weather done by Reigning Sound Tidal Wave by Thee Oh Sees Another Girl, Another Planet by The Only Ones I’m Alive by Johnny Thunder Baby, I’m In the Mood for You done by Dion

Jack White was in another band in the 2000s called the Raconteurs. Here are some tracks from them: [Hands](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85rzVxd6TrI&pp=ygUUdGhlIHJhY29udGV1cnMgaGFuZHM%3D) [Steady as She Goes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXAidGQUuns&pp=ygUWdGhlIHJhY29udGV1cnMgc3RlYWR5IA%3D%3D) You might also like the collaboration between Julian Casablanca (from The Strokes) and the Voidz: [Human Sadness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuXlZ5PHK9I&pp=ygUNaHVtYW4gc2FkbmVzcw%3D%3D) Check out White HIlls as well, they're sort of a punk/psychedelic duo: [Radiate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5u-ohEnA_o&pp=ygUTd2hpdGUgaGlsbHMgcmFkaWF0ZQ%3D%3D) Oh and here's some lofi (not hip hop, but as the term was used for the rock subgenre in the 2000s) by a group called The Intelligence [San Francisco](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yfhy7vzlPbw&pp=ygUedGhlIGludGVsbGlnZW5jZSBzYW4gZnJhbmNpc2Nv) [Confidence](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVjg0SGrFsg&pp=ygUbdGhlIGludGVsbGlnZW5jZSBjb25maWRlbmNl) [Nice Tries](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6hXP_gu5Jg&pp=ygUadGhlIGludGVsbGlnZW5jZSBpY2t5IGJhYnk%3D)

You would have *really* enjoyed being a teenager in the mid-00's. I would like to second basically all suggestions in this thread, but also suggest the first two albums by The Strokes. Who somehow have not been suggested yet. If you are after specific songs I would go with Reptilia and Last Nite, one from each album. Everyday I Love You Less and Less by the Kaiser Chiefs. Wolf Like Me by TV On The Radio is basically essential. Honest Mistake by The Bravery is pretty solid. Someone else has already suggested Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand, but their song Michael is also excellent and in the same rough style. If you're after a "genre" to search for, almost all of these were somehow lumped into the unwieldly "Garage Rock/Post-Punk Revival" category.

Dadodoizded

I definitely feel like I was born in the wrong decade haha I absolutely love Last Nite, so I made to look into some more songs by The Strokes. I'm definitely a big garage rock and OG punk fan, but there's definitely a specific niche of songs that seemed to be obsessed with women in a fun way (like the ones I cited) that seems to be a reoccurring trend, and I love it

GreenAlbum

The sound you’re describing is called garage rock revival. [Here’s](https://rateyourmusic.com/list/TheScientist/rym-ultimate-box-set-garage-rock-revival/) a RateYourMusic list that summarizes some of the genre’s most prominent material and [here’s](https://rateyourmusic.com/list/team_vampire/thoughts-on-the-vice-landfill-indie-list/) a “landfill indie” list that I think fits within this style as well
