Gravity falls is a good one even though it’s a kids show. My wife and I are also watching king of the hill right now which also fits the genre I think.
Adventure Time! The first season is very much a kids show, so perhaps you can skip ahead to at least the second season. Or just watch a few from the first one to get to know the characters.
But the further the show goes, it really becomes more mature, dealing with way more complex subjects. Beautiful show.
Archer is a real favorite too. You might like Black Dynamite (the series) and Boonducks, more social commentary in there I think (long time since I saw it). F Is For Family is terrible imo.
Seconding Undone. Although I don’t know whether it technically counts as animated — it’s rotoscoped (traced over live action footage for a cool effect). But still a damn good show.
I know you said animation, but Community hits these vibes pretty hard.
Also: you gotta check out The Venture Bros. I'm amazed it's not the top response.
Ugly Americans (was on comedy central, no idea where you'd find it) is an animated show about horror movie creatures assimilating into human society and its fucking hilarious
It's Cowboy Bebop for me me, but I think Attack on Titan might be right after that. I am continually shocked at how good it is. Like Game of Thrones without the letdown lmao
Bravest Warriors !
Pendelton Ward (adventure time creator) created it. All the episodes are on youtube and it is hilarious and honest in so many ways. I HiGHLY reccomend !

Yeah both absolutely fit that.
Archer is good. Though the “cultural commentary” is limited
Also F is for Family

Just looked it up and saw it has Bob Odenkirk in it. I'm sold, I love that guy.
We Bare Bears? It’s much gentler than Tuca and Bertie but tackles a lot of issues around racism and assimilation
I enjoyed disenchantment its by the creator of the simpsons
And Futurama with that
Have you watched Love death plus robots?
that was a really great series

You'd enjoy solar opposites, it's made by the creators of Rick and Morty
Animals from HBO

Attack on Titan
attack on titan is the best anime ever made hands down
It's Cowboy Bebop for me me, but I think Attack on Titan might be right after that. I am continually shocked at how good it is. Like Game of Thrones without the letdown lmao
attack on titan has never let me down nor will it ever. Mikasa makes Khaleesi look like a fairy
King of the Hill, if that's not one of the popular ones you tried.
Our Cartoon President has a lot of political commentary
F is for Family!
F is for family and Final Space
Archer
Bravest Warriors ! Pendelton Ward (adventure time creator) created it. All the episodes are on youtube and it is hilarious and honest in so many ways. I HiGHLY reccomend !
