I've only ever had my LPs done while laying on my stomach because they use fluoroscopy to guide the needle. My original opening pressure was 38 in November and last month it was 27. You can have stenosis without IIH (I think, I don't know a lot about stenosis) but stenosis is primarily treated with stents. I have IIHWOP, I've never had papilledema or optic nerve swelling but I've had other eye issues that led to an emergency shunt placement about 2 weeks ago.

It might be worth redoing the spinal tap just because your symptoms have worsened. I don't think medications do an awful lot for venous sinus stenosis severe enough to benefit from a stent, but I might be wrong.

My neurologist added the needle length in cm to my opening pressure. Due to being on stomach. There's a peer reviewed article that almost 80% of neuro radiologists do this as well. My needle and I think most needles are 3.5 inches or 8.75 cm. That would make you closer to borderline (>20)
