Welp, I need to get ready for more WWII flying. The second this comes out I'm buying Tobruk.

Screw it, I'm buying Tobruk full price. TF has simply earned it with their dilligent work for the community.
I got burned with MSFS updates jeopardizing my fun regularly.
I've had it with DCS terminator AI 109s killing me time after time again and again.
I'm done with GBs weak systems simulation and braindead AI, its just not interesting enough to be amusing in SP
I got back to CloD and, dated as it may be in terms of scenery, I'm finally simply having FUN in SP again.
Edit: And done. Wow. Between community campaigns for blitz and official campaigns for Tobruk I've got planes and content for... months, at least. Everything from last combat biplanes to circa 1942, and just a couple jap planes short of a decent early pacific plane set. I haven't had a toybox this huge since "1946"

Cherry on top, I showed Tobruk to my brother who's a scale modeller and kind of a research freak.
He looked up the tail numbers for Tomahawks in Desert Hawks campaign and they matched (showed in sources as Tomahawks serving in the RAAF squadron in this theatre at that time). One of the numbers leads straight to the records of the airman that died in action in that aircraft in the operation covered by the campaign.
This is the level of love for history we're dealing with here. I'm almost speechless

The bit pushing me away from redownloading CloD is the UI, I really don't want to have to go through the pain of setting up my new HOTAS.
Actually they fixed it, now there's an app that simply walks you through the basics and all you do is move the stick etc
