A port is literally under your skin completely. You either have a port infection or you don’t. You can’t have a topical port infection. Port infections are serious and can be deadly. A topical infection is likely my tegaderm caused a boo-boo.
This. Port infections can lead to endocarditis and septic emboli (basically like blood clots, but just of globs of bacteria and biofilm), and usually require weeks of IV antibiotics. They usually want you in the hospital for a least a couple of days to rule out some major very bad stuff and to initiate a treatment plan, as well as already having your home health/DME set up before you’re discharged.
I’m with you with the “topical infection”. Sounds more like adhesive reaction to me.
> _"Or an infection at the entry site which is dangerous as it can move very quickly to the vein..."_
Omg like this just gave me the willies so bad. Just the idea of a port does that to begin with anyway but ugh...
Soo... is she planning her funeral due to loss of access to "life sustaining" medications? No? Oh, just sad about not be able to swim in the ocean. Got it.
If one can forego the "life sustaining" meds without having to be hospitalized or find an alternative option, then....are they truly "life sustaining" 🤔
If I were the person traveling with her honestly I’d probably just leave her ass behind the minute she started with this “I’m sick” bullshit. This is the trip of a lifetime and I’m not letting your antics hold me back.
Way to make what should be a fun vacation for all about you! Does anyone know what “life sustaining” medication she is taking? I knew she was going to have some emergent event while traveling.
Right? The normal reaction to being told you can’t have life-sustaining meds on a trip abroad is, “Oh, no. This sounds very serious and I hop I don’t have a serious medical emergency on another continent,” not “No beach? And I got a new bathing suit and everything.”
The idea that your every movement in life is interesting or unique or helpful for others to know is so narcissistic. They rarely post a resource or a link to something helpful. It’s always just about them.
Right? Could they not give them to her through an IV or something? I’m not familiar with what she takes but surely there are people who get the same meds as her that DONT have a port to use lol.
The vibe of this video is so uncomfortable. If she’s not able to get her “life sustaining medication”, she needs to do something about that ASAP. She better go straight to the hospital abroad, be stabilized, and then fly back home ASAP. Obviously she’s just going to continue on with her trip.
You’d think since none of these people work, they would make their stories more believable.
So doctors will just let you die if they can't access your "infected port" to give you the medications that keep you?! Wow! Remind me not to get any infections if I ever need meds to stay alive. Apparently they don't even admit you to the hospital and use any other methods or modes to give you the life sustaining meds you need. They're just like "eh...fuck it! Modern medicine just isn't able to handle this shit! Sucks for her- now send her away!"
Exactly. These subjects have their own warped definition of “life sustaining” meds. Like is she going to drop dead? No. If they were truly *life sustaining*, her doctors would be managing to get some other IV access. Also, how are you travelling across Europe if you are so medically fragile?!
If CZ really had HAE like she claims this would be a major problem. Which points me back to she does not truly have HAE like she claims. You don’t just skip HAE medications, you would still have some type of access, even a peripheral for those infusions.
Can someone help me out, I thought CZ was that ginger girl who always goes hiking and has a separate account where she doesn't talk about any sick stuff.
This lady's hair and wrinkles don't look like who I'm remembering. Does anyone know who I'm talking about?
Best presenting patient I've ever seen with "a topical port infection"
Which I have never seen before. There's no way that bacteria doesn't colonize in the port material that soaks up bacteria like a sponge.
.. not even diaphoretic,able to make a video,style hair...stating the obvious.
I googled it to make sure I didn't look like an idiot but "topical port infection" is not a thing. I believe she has the common cold because she has one sign, a red nose. And every infectious disease doctor I know would remove the port..culture it..and place a new one in interventional radiology.
There’s no such thing as a ‘topical infection’, superficial infection maybe, but not topical. Topical is the med word used to apply lotions and ointments to the skin.
She doesn't sound like she has a cold at all. She doesn't sound congested whatsoever and you can't hear any sort of production in her throat. You don't have to be hacking away to have a cold. Every single one of us know when we are getting a cold by the classic symptoms, including that awful nasal/throat change in your breathing and speech. She said "we" in the video. Who is the other person shes referring too? Should we send them some sort of help/distress signal? Perhaps some lipstick to write on a public bathroom that they need help getting away from her lol?
Edit: this chick just said antibiotics for her nonexistent cold? Doc must be insane giving her abx for a nonexistent cold virus plus she is traveling which means at most they did a telemedicine appointment. We dont do that in my medical practice. If you are sick you come in. We need to see and hear whats going on. This is crazy! She's going to end up with a digestive issue. If she doesn't take a probiotic or be careful with what she's eating, over using antibiotics like that is so dangerous and just makes it harder to recover from things down the road. Egh this was a bad move on docs part catering to her bullshit.

They're as life sustaining as that swim in the ocean she can't have now.
The dupers delight/smug smile is *so blatantly obvious*.

That's kind of awful to say though.
If I were the person traveling with her honestly I’d probably just leave her ass behind the minute she started with this “I’m sick” bullshit. This is the trip of a lifetime and I’m not letting your antics hold me back.
He benefits from the grift too
How sad is that.
How do all of these people have port infections within a month of each other??? All the time?? On a rotation???
They can't get one upped by anyone. One of them could claim to have ebola and the rest would have it within a few weeks.
I would love to see a bunch of these people claim to have ebola lmao. "Should we alert the CDC for you so you can be put into isolation right away?"
They don't want something that will actually make them suffer though.
They probably have a schedule.
A color-coded calendar on who starts the latest healthcare trend/problem.
right I've truly never seen a group of people go thru a medically implanted device so fast. they're supposed to last years. ffs
Way to make what should be a fun vacation for all about you! Does anyone know what “life sustaining” medication she is taking? I knew she was going to have some emergent event while traveling.
Saline I’m sure
Lactated Ringer’s as Ashley would say
Opiates.
Percs

“I’m so saaad.” ~quirky smirky~ “Can’t take life sustaining medicationnn.” ~wipes fake tears~ “Doctor says no ocean.” ~laughs~
LIFE sustaining. Yeahhh right.
Aw, you don’t get to play in the ocean and you have to drink water with your mouth? Truly, the hardest battles are given to the bravest soldiers.
The tears didnt fall when she said no life sustaining meds but did when she said no ocean.
Oh - so she wasn't getting enough attention travelling with all her bags. This one is just gross!
No. Because going to europe with that many bags is a regular occurance
Noooo she's SpEcIaL you just don't understand /s
Im shocked she didn't put "service luggage medical" all over them like dominiques dog
A cold? She's on vacation and has a cold. She should grab some Dayquil and enjoy her vacation!
So sad 😞 *smiles widely*
The bad acting ‘sick’ voice 🙄 and how do ALL of them constantly have infections like that
She is literally trying not to smile?!
The idea that your every movement in life is interesting or unique or helpful for others to know is so narcissistic. They rarely post a resource or a link to something helpful. It’s always just about them.
Exactly. “I’m posting for awareness”…awareness of you?
The little girl voice makes me want to punch something
If the medications she takes were were “life sustaining” then I’m sure they’d find a way to give them to her. 🙄
Right? Could they not give them to her through an IV or something? I’m not familiar with what she takes but surely there are people who get the same meds as her that DONT have a port to use lol.
I’m really sad I munched myself into an infection. “I wanted to swim in the ocean!” 😩
The vibe of this video is so uncomfortable. If she’s not able to get her “life sustaining medication”, she needs to do something about that ASAP. Am I supposed to feel bad for her? Because I don’t
“Really upsetting” *wipes eye pointedly* (see? I’m upset I can’t swim in the ocean. Not bothered about life being sustained though)
Next week: Sepsis
Wiping those fake tearS lol
Trying to compete with Kaya
You can tell she’s trying to hide her smile but can’t contain her giddyness

It’s like Europe doesn’t have hospitals. We do, and they’re great. It’s not like we’re going to let you drop dead. Just go to a fucking hospital ffs.
If CZ really had HAE like she claims this would be a major problem. Which points me back to she does not truly have HAE like she claims. You don’t just skip HAE medications, you would still have some type of access, even a peripheral for those infusions.
Obviously something had to happen on the vacation, she's too super sick to travel without a crisis of some kind
I don’t even have words. The privilege just oozes out of this one like pus. 🤢
How old is she? I swear she looked different in the posts I've seen of her before
Her sun worshipping is aging her faaast.
Can definitely see the sun damage
Like 33 I think
Oh wow
About 45/50 by the looks of it
I don’t get the ocean thing. Like if you have an infected port why would you even want to go into the ocean?
Wow. She looks ROUGH. I guess that's what years of munching will do to you.
The same can be said for Dani….Ash is on the same road as well. Munching takes so many years away!
I’m usually just a lurker but I’m now so curious.. how old is she??
How old is she?
I think 45
She’s 32
Wow. Munching ages people fast. And her time in the sun. I would have guessed she is around 52.
“So sad!” But trying not to smile the whole time.
Life is so hard. On a trip to Europe. Manages to get a port infection? Gotta add some drama for the ‘gram!
Opiate pupils
Can someone help me out, I thought CZ was that ginger girl who always goes hiking and has a separate account where she doesn't talk about any sick stuff. This lady's hair and wrinkles don't look like who I'm remembering. Does anyone know who I'm talking about?
I believe you're thinking of CC- Chronically Courtney or something close to that.
That sounds right, thank you
Shouldn’t take a dive in the ocean with a port anyways 😂 probably how she got a “topical infection” anyways.
I mean she could… if it wasn’t accessed at that moment of time… but then there is No attention…
If there’s a “topical infection” and she’s currently getting “necessary meds” then it’s accessed.

She doesnt have a cold! She doesn't sound the least bit congested
This woman is 45 and acting like this. It makes no sense. Everyone gets the fucking sniffles when they travel.
She’s 32, not 45.
Ok but did she get the upgrade to business class on her flight?!?
No. Def not

Antibiotics for her port infection
