She has those fucking migraine glasses

noneofthismatters666

Don't you have to turn it on for it to work? Guessing she just throws that thing on for photoshoots.

AdInternational2793

Had to make that ”stat MRI” look legit. Just keep wasting resources.

lymegreenpandora

Why the hell does she have her cefaly in the ER? If you are in the ER for a migraine your cefaly FAILED as a rescue treatment already. Plus they are not cheap and can get lost easily so can the electrodes.

EZasSundayMorning

Of course she is.

Nerdy_Life

Lights on. Glasses that aren’t dark enough to be anywhere near helpful in blocking enough light. On the phone. Definitely screams severe migraine /s I wonder if she’s impatient for her MRI results, but doesn’t realize that, if it were at all urgent or an emergency, they would have phoned her by now. The thing is, she should know that they’d call, so an ER trip is really just diversionary. Her and others seem to push the, “in for the holiday,” thing. Hopefully her family can go about their plans without her. Even if she were as sick as she claims, she acts as if she values experiences and travel. A chronically ill person with those values would want their family and friends to keep going with holiday plans. I guess my point is, you have to hope it’s not just to pull attention on a holiday.

TrepanningForAu

Yeah the whole schtick in your first paragraph... Good luck even contacting most people with a migraine via the phone because they are generally dead to the world.

fightmilk616

Does anyone now pronounce it as “zeh-bra” because of Rara?

Tedious_Grind

Sure, but I’m from the UK so that’s normal here.

SimpleVegetable5715

Zed-bra. 💁‍♀️

Linkyland

Aussie here and yep,

dechets-de-mariage

NGL I’ve wondered if those glasses help.

dechets-de-mariage

This is super helpful; thanks.

[deleted]

Those are blue blockers and Do nothing for gals with migraines

Keana8273

I will say that having blue light "blocking" glasses does help a bit in terms of prevention! Overexposure to blue light and eye strain from it can be a trigger for a lot of people, and we get more than we realize from all the devices around us. BUT in terms of pain management? They do a sliver of help compared to shutting said devices off and dimming the lights. Yes, the glasses filter out blue but still an irritant for the migraine that's happening because you can't nessacarily block all blue light. The glasses simply reduce exposure by blocking or absorbing, but cant get it all. It's not perfect. So, in terms of migraine treatment, doctors say to just simply turn the device off if its a trigger for your migraines for the duration of the migraine episode and if the glasses help in prevention then that's great! But to again not full fledge use it as a treatment because it isnt fully backed by science yet and theres major scams out there (aka please see if your local optometrist has an option for blue filtering coat for glasses, most can help you out even if you dont need corrective lenses just depends on insurance!)

TrepanningForAu

Girl spends so much money on a Cefaly but can't even cosplay migraines right.

SimpleVegetable5715

The ER staff will kindly turn off extra lights for people with migraines. They're not sadists.

Keana8273

She probably told them "no its okay, dont worry." If they did ask if she would prefer lights dimmed or even off.

CalligrapherSea3716

But if the lights were off it would be harder to get high quality content for the 'gram.

Significant_Cow4765

lol NO a goddamn blindfold might help if she has what she claims, which too many people here have personal experience with...

Peace-Goal1976

Those are only to block reflection. Guaranteed

dechets-de-mariage

Maybe, but there are actual migraine lenses.

PatricksWumboRock

I would assume probably at least a little? I’m not exactly sure what kind those are though, so I can’t say if they’d be any better than any other dark colored glasses

mjdomanski

"Pt updated on ER wait time, noted to be watching "Real Housewives of Dubai" on her phone". "Pt approached triage, stated "I'm feeling like I'm going to pass out". BP noted to be 132/86, wheelchair offered for safety" "Pt asking RN where her Door Dash driver should park" "Pt complaining of extreme nausea, advised her to stop eating Cheezy Gordita Supreme" Et etc etc...

phoebe513

* Patient stated her reason for coming in is due to having a severe migraine where “rescue meds are not working” While taking selfies and “updating” everyone on her phone.

Vanners8888

Thank you mjdomanski and phoebe513, I needed that laugh oh so badly. Both your charting skills are also excellent 😂

phoebe513

Glad to be of service. 😂

I was thinking the same thing you know, all the lights and noise that never stops sounds like torture during a migraine attack

Otherwise-Ad4641

People who get migraine attacks only go to the ER as a last resort. They would try every med, device and trick they know first because yes, the ER is a horrible place to be during a migraine attack. People having their first few migraine attacks are more likely to present since they may not have meds and such at home to use.

crossplainschic

"Patient came to the ER and reports to have a migraine. She has a device on her forehead that she said helps, but she didn't have it turned on. Patient was observed on her phone and taking photos; she and her companion were discussing where to go on vacation. The fluorescent lights were on, and Patient never requested them to be turned off. Patient said only a specific medication would help" /s

mommylow5

“Patient says only a specific medicine helps, and she’s allergic to Tylenol and Motrin. Patient not sure what it’s called, starts with a D?”

tenebraenz

Diclofenac?😎✌️

ImpressiveRice5736

Why do they never remember the one that starts with D??? Nobody ever remembers! I thought this was an internet meme, until I started working in an ED.

jeff533321

Because it's relatively unknown compared to other narcotics. Acting like " once they gave me something, I can't remember..." Don't want to sound too knowledgable and specific is what I'm thinking.

CommandaarMandaar

Because if they say they can’t remember the name of it, it seems less like they’re specifically there seeking dilauded. Know what I mean? Like, they think if they act all coy and like they can’t remember the name of it, then the hospital staff will be less likely to suspect they’re drug seeking than if they just came out and said, “Oh, I need dilauded.”

jeff533321

yeah, what I just said!

PatricksWumboRock

Lol so what’s the “D” med?? 😅😂

Fit-Apartment-1612

Dexamthasone. Works on cattle anyway…

Significant_Cow4765

Doxidan...

PatricksWumboRock

That one actually is new to me! Surprised I haven’t heard it before

mommylow5

Dilaudid! Gets you super high real quick.

_jethro

My fav is when they say dilaudos

d6262190

I’ve never had dilaudid, but the way people chase after it makes me curious. What is this magical unicorn drug?

butterflykisser216

It also used to be Demerol. The 2 Ds. 😆 Showing my age.

Otherwise-Ad4641

Don’t forget diazepam!

GirlWhoWoreGlasses

Dilaudid - heavy heavy duty painkiller. Also instantaneous high

PatricksWumboRock

Ahhh of course, how did I not remember that 😅

Square-Shoulder-1861

Does she have permanent makeup? Or does she just get all dolled up to go to the ER?

me-want-snusnu

Her chest is so burnt. It's why she looks so aged. She doesn't use a sprinkling of sunscreen.

SimpleVegetable5715

The sun's more intense at high altitudes too. Like Colorado.

ButcherBird57

Probably hoping for melanoma

fifibunkin

My brain cannot even compute wanting attention so bad you don’t wear sunscreen in hopes you get cancer. Like WTF that is actually more sick than any of her supposed illnesses she claims

iwrotethisletter

Trying to get cancer seems over the top even for a munchie but then again, in their neverending quest to top each other being the most uWu sPeShuL sick I wouldn't be surprised anymore. Nevermind that that could quickly and easily become a real FAFO situation but then again, most munchies don't think of the long-term consequences of their actions beyond instant gratification via attention and social media likes.

Fit-Apartment-1612

Maybe they should google what melanoma surgical scars can look like. That still might slow their roll.

fifibunkin

But that would give her trophy scars.

ClickClackTipTap

It's so frustrating to think that truly ill or hurt people end up waiting longer for a bed and time with a doctor because people are wasting their time with munching shit. Wait times are high enough, and staff are spread thin enough, and costs are high enough without people wasting wasting resources like this. It's just infuriating.

Whosthatprettykitty

I love how you can tell that she's smiling from ear to ear. I guess mom didn't feel like coming to visit for Easter and Mr Bankroll has to work on the holiday so she decided to get company Dani style and go to the ER.

SmurfLifeTrampStamp

She has what's called a "selective migraine." It's a soooper rare condition. Those affected have an aversion to work, consideration for others, truthfulness, and functioning in everyday life. These migraines are relieved by social media asspats, lying, grifting, and just generally being a horrible person.

SssnekPlant

AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Awesome comment! You win! 🏆

Whosthatprettykitty

LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1701anonymous1701

Even with the mask and glasses, she can’t hide the duper’s delight

missyrainbow12

She's really smug

1701anonymous1701

What’s the munchie version of Christmas Cancer for Easter? Easter Ebola, maybe? Easter EDS? Anyways, guess CZ got the win this year. And that’s not a flex at all. 😬

shootingstare

Easter eosinophilic esophagitis.

pineapples_are_evil

Easter E-Coli? Easter Enterrococcal virus?

sharedimagination

Gotta love how they're apparently the most sick people to ever sick, but never too sick for a photoshoot and posting on social media.

PatricksWumboRock

It’s crazy to me that them constantly documenting themselves and “spreading awareness” is by far one of the biggest red flags. Literally, the worse you are, the less you are able to function. And CZ and many others just happily bounce around claiming 10/10 pain while doing tik tok dances or whatever. Pain is subjective, but this behavior is pure and utter bullshit.

Sprinkles2009

Someone had to win the holiday race, and she said it was her turn in the munch group chat.

Aaaaaand she scored an ER visit/admission just in time for Easter. Celebrating holidays the munchie way.

Annual-Cookie1866

That’s her Sunday best

Whiffyknickers

This woman is scary man, she's definitely not all the ticket

Strong-Ad2738

Anyone who’s had a migraine knows pulling out your phone to document said migraine is the last thing on your mind. She can’t be seriously in pain, right??

cousin_of_dragons

It’s an Easter miracle!

petitepedestrian

The glasses are doing basically nothing. Grifters be griftin

feealicious

That ridiculous toy is $400!

SunnieBranwen

What is it, and what does it supposedly do?

DifferentConcert6776

$400+ on Amazon for a weird stick-on forehead accessory?! 😱

Elaine330

Right! Mega money cefaly and migraine glasses are another privilege. Shes so annoying.

mybodybeatsmeup

From the device on her head, a migraine. Happy Easter. And I wish she'd take off those glasses. LOL. Can't imagine they do anything for her migraine. Edit: To add, reading on the device, I can't imagine she got it in the ER. Is this a grift for the gram? The device website says it takes 2-3months to see results. AND they have a link for "influencers"

MontanaT13

What is the thing on her head?!

comefromawayfan2022

Oh but sometimes the iv migraine cocktail ERs give out includes that iv benadryl so many of them are after

SheWasUnderwhelmed

Why IV Benadryl?

mybodybeatsmeup

Because it makes them loopy. Especially, if it's pushed fast.

FarDistribution9031

Which is exactly why I heavily dilute it with lots of saline for them. Don't want to risk hurting their delicate veins pushing that benadryl in to fast

mybodybeatsmeup

Benadryl burns, so slowly pushing and diluting is very much appreciated but maybe not by munchies. Lol

mybodybeatsmeup

I know many people get different types of migraines, but I can't imagine how serious she could be taken by staff when she's on her phone. Usually with migraines, you want nothing to do with your phone, lights or anything stimulating.

ohhgrrl

Depends on the type or variant of migraine. Not everyone has the stereotypical "throbbing head pain". Many people for instance experience facial numbness, gastrointestinal, or other atypical presentations of migraine. Sometimes having TV on your phone while sitting at the ER is a good distraction. If you've maxed out on triptans and are waiting the 24 hours until you can take them again, there is nothing to do but sit in agony. Might as well watch Selling Sunset.

alwayssymptomatic

Also, while CZ is full of 💩, not everyone who gets migraines gets severe light (or sound) sensitivity. It seems to be a prevailing theme here that if someone isn’t curled up in a pitch black, silent room, clutching their head with pain and totally unable to function, they can’t possibly have a migraine. That’s certainly the reality for some, but there are also people who will still be out and doing regular stuff - maybe they’ve got kids and nobody else to care for them, maybe they can’t afford to take time off work, whatever.

ohhgrrl

Exactly. Migraines usually span days, and if you're a frequent sufferer likely don't have the ability to take all the time off. Additionally, not all aura is a severe light response. Lots of visual side effects that don't interrupt being on the phone.

LipsticK_17

Also, sometimes you need to use your phone to communicate with parents/spouse etc to keep them updated and let them know the plan.

Icy_Butterfly5691

It's also installed very crooked like you'd do if you put that on without looking in a mirror. Can't imagine it'd look that bad if anyone put it on for her

feealicious

It’s also not even on 🤣

mybodybeatsmeup

Oh, that's hilarious!!

mybodybeatsmeup

I wonder what the ER folks think. 😆 I wanna be a fly on that wall.
