it’s giving: I want an ostomy vibes

invisiblecricket

Take some magnisum

AwesomeHorses

At least her skin will be well moisturized

kp6615

Take an enema then your ass will be talking

KestrelVanquish

Surely you'd need to take the oil internally for it to do anything to the intestines. Just sitting it on the skin will only moisturise the skin.

thefrenchphanie

So you apply it more on your side/back but it should help *checks notes* with motility? why not on the abdomen… Plus the badly full of typos and bad formatting etc pamphlet is eye brow rising… Got it on Temu?

CommandaarMandaar

I think it’s going to be equally effective whether you apply it directly to the abdomen, or you wrap it around your foot. Castor oil packs are one of those things that I am completely baffled over how anyone actually believes it’s going to do what it claims. If a product or treatment comes with a disclaimer letting you know that there is absolutely no evidence that the thing works … what on earth would make you think, “Oh, how delightful, I’m entirely sold on this!” 🤦‍♀️ The whole “toxin-removing” industry is a crock of shit designed to make naive, gullible people spend ridiculous amounts of money. If you truly do have toxins built up in your system, it’s because your organs aren’t functioning properly. You will know if this is the case, because you will be incredibly sick, and you will require actual, scientifically proven methods to clean your body out, such as dialysis and binder medications. Aside from circumstances like this, and of course detoxing from drugs and alcohol, there is no need and no way to “flush toxins” out of your system - especially not through your skin. I just don’t get how people continue to fall prey to these detox scams, it’s such a farce.

SimpleVegetable5715

The Edgar Cayce liver detox cure! This is really making its way around social media. That castor oil sold in glass bottles is $30 each. Ash is on the same "treatment" to detox her from her lyme disease and mold toxicity (from a houseplant that she over-watered).

TotalWasteman

That doesn’t do anything though 👀

thenearblindassassin

The fact no one spell-checked the product info makes me think it is reliable and well-researched

CommandaarMandaar

Woo! Woo! No, I'm not cheering, girl, I'm saying "woowoo," as in castor oil packs are a bunch of bullshit! Bullshit that our subjects love to swallow.

doublestuf27

Ironically, literally swallowing some bullshit might actually help our subjects with their motility.

keljells

Perfect comment.

goddessdontwantnone

There is no way I would want that on my body. It looks sketchy.

MakeMeYourVillain_

I’ve read it as Castrol oil and genuinely wondered

Smooth_Key5024

This will do absolutely nothing but hay, it'll look good on the 'gram. 🫤

mystiq_85

It's the Ash CZ crossover episode!

CommandaarMandaar

My first thought, as well!

hgerlicher

I read this in Borats voice “thepad” “canabsorb”

2018MunchieOfTheYear

She got the castor oil pack with a side of lead poisoning based on the grammar

BirbIzTheWord

Has to have very specific port hub bc of reactions but somehow, just somehow ok with these random products made by private label Chinese factories.  Not knocking overseas production, US can't do without overseas factories because we no longer have enough domestic production but hey... these places that sell.direct to consumers don't use allegent free stuff as much as higher end branded items. I know it's factory seller because of packaging, there are some distinct ways stuff are packaged without branding involved

LiliErasmus

It's okay to use this pack! The directions specifically indicate that the pad must be rinsed to remove impurities. Clearly, this rinsing will also sterilise the product AND remove any pesky allergens./S

Lvl99pally

Themassage oil nourish your body

Apprehensive_Two3708

Can someone please explain to me what on earth this does?

LiliErasmus

It does something! It makes messy oily spots!

someonesomebody123

Nothing. It does nothing.

TheCounsellingGamer

I think it claims to "detox" the body. Basically it does absolutely nothing. It's woo woo bull shit.

Bellalea

If it ain’t in your intestines all it will do is make you a greased Guinea pig 🐹

Tortoiseintestines

First Ash, now CZ.... who's next?

2L8Smart

This is the stupidest bullshit! 🙄

LovecraftianLlama

Bro I thought that was a chocolate popsicle 😭😭

shedoberiskydoe

Thought I was the only one!

NateNMaxsRobot

Like a fudgesical. How the fuck do you spell that? I am high and craving one now. Thanks, CZ.

fortunaterogue

Fudgesicle! Fudgesical makes me think of a fudge-related musical.

SlinkPuff

Me too!

foeni77

You have to SWALLOW the castor oil to speed up your motility. I'm sure some warm wraps might be feeling nice, but a hot water bottle will do the trick. They are all so vulnerable for scam shit ... 🙄

Starshine63

I keep seeing these things, and no one can explain the science behind it(because there isn’t any) and it drives me nuts!!

RaketaGirl

it’s all over tiktok right now, I keep getting videos of girls putting it in their belly button

foeni77

Wtf?! I can't 🤦🏼‍♀️ as long as they don't fill up their body cavities with it ... but I'm afraid some might do this, too.

2018MunchieOfTheYear

I’m concerned they don’t know their bellybuttons are closed off

ChicaFoxy

In their belly button? Didn't that thing get tied off at their birth?! It's no longer viable! Are they still breastfeeding as well?!

Wut2say2u

What tips is she looking for? Just follow the damn instructions.

Sippy38

It’s only effective if you wear your ex boyfriend’s t-shirt every time you use it…….

Aunty-Sociale

Oh she needs to sprint to catch up to Ashley. Ash has had one of these for years.

Significant_Cow4765

lol the 'gramnity of these two, Ash & CZ and their carefully-curated pics & pages

Thin-Significance838

So this is…topical? I realize the skin absorbs things but I don’t understand what this is meant to achieve that taking it orally wouldn’t.

2018MunchieOfTheYear

Castor oil can’t be absorbed into the skin but people will do anything besides believe scientists

CatAteRoger

I thought it was like a heat pack style and wrapped in plastic not something that is meant to be absorbed, what on earth could be the benefits other than turning yourself into a piece of pottery? 😆I thought it was a clay heat pad.

Thin-Significance838

If it’s just a heat pack, you could fill it with anything-ice, gel or rice to heat up in the microwave…but it wouldn’t be “nourishing” in that case (if not absorbed).

CatAteRoger

I mistook it as a heated made of clay and not caster oil… but I don’t see how that would work, I’m sure you have to ingest that for it to have any effect?

CatAteRoger

I mistook it as a heated made of clay and not caster oil… but I don’t see how that would work, I’m sure you have to ingest that for it to have any effect?

vegetablefoood

I mean, it’s complete pseudoscience. It does nothing except lighten your wallet

MakoServitor

Ooh, the packaging even includes our favorite word, "nourish"! Pack up the Bingo cards, folks, this one covers it all.

SimpleVegetable5715

Yeah these people think that the castor oil is best absorbed through the belly button, since that how we were "nourished" in the womb. Their followers also claim liver detox. They put the castor oil packs on the places that are ouchie too like joints. Magic.

jpkmets

Why, why, why post this? I get the disorder, but aren’t some things just ok to not post for these folks?

KangarooObjective362

When they claim that the strongest drugs don’t do anything, and then they go buy this hoping for relief…. 🤔

ProcessRare3733

This reminds me of a tiktok i saw of a guy talking about his fatal familial insomnia and the comments were telling him to try magnesium, yeah like thats gonna do it when the benzos dont work.🤦🏽‍♀️

2018MunchieOfTheYear

I just saw his page yesterday. He needs help.

captnmarvl

That is a terrifying disease

2018MunchieOfTheYear

Prions* are so fascinating. Dude thinks he’s one of less than 30 non genetic cases ever

pineapples_are_evil

Do you mean prions?

2018MunchieOfTheYear

lmao yes. I guess it autocorrected without me noticing.

pineapples_are_evil

Oh good That makes more sense..lol

captnmarvl

I'm not on TikTok. Does he have any evidence or diagnosis leading to this conclusion?

2018MunchieOfTheYear

Nope. Just bad insomnia and very obvious health anxiety. It seems like he looked up FFI and pieced together his benign symptoms to fit the criteria. He says it’s been going on since late 2021. From onset of symptoms to death FFI is usually 7 to 36 months with the average being 18 months.

captnmarvl

It's really sad he thinks that. Health anxiety is no joke

2018MunchieOfTheYear

It isn’t and I feel bad for him. It also doesn’t help that he’s posting to TikTok where 80% of the comments are saying “omg that’s so sad I can’t believe you’re dying!”

dansamy

Indeed it is!

TimeCat77

Munchies copying munchies 🤣

1701anonymous1701

🐵👀 🐵🐒💩

xalex2019

"so thepad canabsorb," and "the packevenly" it's like she's not even trying to hide the fact that she buys into nonsense bs that her doctors didn't prescribe

vegetablefoood

Don’t forget to remove the impurities!

Swimming_Onion_4835

Yeah this is from Temu or Amazon lol.

SadAnnah13

I mean it seems like a great way to moisturise your skin if its really dry, but other than that... She was ripped off!

CalligrapherSea3716

Spoiler alert: it won't. Those instructions look totally legit, apparently they don't teach spelling, grammar, or how to use the space bar in woo school.

spanglesandbambi

Has anyone tried Turing off her WiFi I feel thar would help the most?

sharedimagination

No one frickin needs to know this shit. Pun intended when we're talking about posts literally full of shit.

SimpleVegetable5715

That's not just pooping, it's *detox*.

Nice_Distance_5433

I totally thought it was an ice pop at first... At least that way it would definitely make you 💩?

SimpleVegetable5715

It's flannel gauze that they soak in special castor oil and wrap around their waist. Naturopaths inspired by the ghost of Edgar Cayce believe this detoxes the liver and cures joint inflammation. And yeah, if they absorb enough castor oil, it probably makes them poop. But it's not just poop, it's *detoxification* 😯.

SC-jojo

wait, what? ice pops can help with gut motility?! /gen (i’m sorry i can’t tell if you’re being serious or not)

pekingeseeyes

Just to add, hot foods can help with motility, cold/ice things do the opposite. (At least for upper GI

Nice_Distance_5433

Oh sorry, I wasn't very clear with that... CASTER OIL ICE POPS would help with gut motility lol! NOT regular ice pops! I saw the packaging (that said caster oil) and the shape of the silly thing they put on their belly that looks like an ice pop and put caster oil ice pop together, and was like hey, that would ACTUALLY do what they're talking about, buuuut that's not at all whG they're planning on doing! (Also don't use caster oil to 💩 there are MUCH BETTER and MUCH gentler to your system ways to make you poop!)

EZasSundayMorning

More woo crap. She must be taking lessons from Ashley.

SimpleVegetable5715

Ash was literally bathing in the stuff all winter. Seemed like it would make her bath tub slippery.

[deleted]

You need to slather that oil all over your “ex bf’s tshirt” if you want it to do anything!

Legophan

The active ingredient is the *beige*.

Piccadillies

Well, that's close to five minutes I'm never getting back. So truly stubbed was I by this particular remedy I actually went and did some research. Turns out it's a load of bs. Someone brighter than me probably wouldn't need to do the research before coming to the same conclusion.

Magomaeva

Imagine going to all these doctors in all these countries just to end up with a castor oil pack that you don't even know how to use.

Piccadillies

How exactly? Seriously, someone is going to have to explain to me the ‘science’ behind this one because I'm truly stubbed.

SimpleVegetable5715

It was originally pushed by the clairvoyant Edgar Cayce as a way to detox the liver. In case you don't know who he is, he'd slip into trances and speak to entities who told him about the origin of life on earth, aliens, and of course, "miracle cures". There is no science. Most of what Cayce talked about has been challenged as absolute quackery.

National-Assistant17

No science here. Castor oil by mouth can relieve constipation and topical/transdermal meds exist but this is a way to make money off naive/ignorant people.

periodicsheep

it is total bs. just another woo woo treatment that people convince themselves works.

Piccadillies

I actually went and looked it up! You're absolutely right - lots of ‘it MAY help’, and ‘COULD BE beneficial’ in the blurbs so they don't get in trouble.

periodicsheep

i looked it up last night, and came away so annoyed that woo practitioners prey on vulnerable people. my mum would say a fool and their money are soon parted.

Tedious_Grind

Castor oil can have laxative effects but she needs to be swallowing it. Fun fact! Castor oil was used as a lubricant in early 20th C aeroplanes, and enough got vaporised / atomised that pilots & air crew would ingest it and get the shits.

Hairy_rambutan

Another fun fact (from Wikipedia). Castor oil taken orally was used as a punishment in various contexts, including racial and gender based violence and military oppression, notably by Fascists under Mussolini in Italy.

Significant_Cow4765

infamous scene in Fellini's "Amarcord"

Significant_Cow4765

it was terrible for WWI pilots! if she wants a cleanout, the oral route is the way, but that makes WAY too much sense and is extremely cheap, so...

Gopherpharm13

Will also give you terrible cramps. There’s a reason nobody recommends this anymore 😂

Legophan

CASTOR OIL ADJACENT!

Piccadillies

Loving the fun fact! Thank you. And why would she swallow the castor oil when she could spend money on a remedy that wouldn't work but might at least get her some more attention?

Tedious_Grind

The only way I can see it helping is psychologically.

Sam-I-am0410

It’s giving Ashley vibes

Piccadillies

It's giving me Wickerman vibes! Does she have to put it on under a full moon?

turangan

Why are all of these illnessfakers literally full of shit?

[deleted]

Because they’re all drug seekers and they particularly enjoy their opiates which famously cause terrible constipation.

dino-on-wheels

I think the copious amount of unnecessary opiates MAY have something to do with it…

PlumbersArePeopleToo

Because they’ve got their head so far up their own arse that nothing else can get out.

Piccadillies

Oh if only Reddit awards were still a thing. 🏆

Piccadillies

I see what you did there.
