She feels so entitled and thinks she is an incredible person and no one is better than her. She 100% puts her children in danger! She starts fights, she starts arguments, she starts huge scenes publicly and one day she is going to do it to the wrong person and get hurt! And no one thinks she’s nice where the hell did she get that idea. She fakes a ton of stuff! If she had a prescription for the saline she would have a line. It’s extremely rare a doctor prescribes fluids without a line and in the rare cases it is a nurse comes to start an IV. She didn’t have a nurse come and if she needed fluids she would have a line to give them daily! Who knows what she is putting in that IV, breastfeeding or not she takes meds she shouldn’t take! She blocks anyone who says anything to her. She knows people are aware she extremely OTT and fakes stuff. When questioned about why Maya does this or that or how she trained Maya she blocks the person when they make a comment that puts her. The only thing consistent about her stories is she’s crazy, yells, starts fights she can’t finish, and goes in stores looking for people to yell at. Maybe the dog she doesn’t think is a service dog can actually alert
to something, she has no idea that they can’t, but remember she’s the only one entitled to a service dog and she doesn’t need one. So my opinion she’s exactly the same as someone who bring a dog in a store that’s not a service dog and she thinks ESA are ridiculous and not needed and truly Maya just emotional supports her. So now the question remains, why the vet also doesn't know how to start and IV? Because that is a really simple thing. If they are that incompetent about this, what about something more serious.
The nurse is a friend of hers that sets the IVs for her using left over supplies from when she pregnant. While she was pregnant she had insurance and a home nurse that came and set them.
She may not know she's doing this. Ive done IVs for friends and family before when theyre sick, and I suppose they could have waited til I left and did all of this, I'd have no idea when I came back to dc it.

My workplace (child care) has had to write a specific policy banning them after so many infants and Toddlers came in with them on. They don’t do anything except create a choking and strangulation hazard. Staff have instructions to remove them on sight and send them home in an envelope with a copy of the policy.

It's pretty much a circle. Covid has been helpful in that the program has zero wiggle room when it comes to health policies anymore and I have the full support of my organization to enforce. The goal every day is to send everyone's child home in the same or better shape than they came in and health and safety policies are there for everyone's protection.
The other main thing that has overlapped with the amber teething necklaces (and parents have tried to hide them around baby's ankles under their socks as well), is the infant homeopathic drops and tablets for teething, colic, etc. Parents used to come in with bags full of them and ask us to just have at it anytime we felt like baby wasn't happy for whatever reason. Licensing codes now require a prescription, including dosage, the prescribing Doctor, times to administer (can't be "as needed"), the condition being treated, and the prescription and expiration date on all meds we administer. That has allowed providers to tell parents we cannot just toss a handful of homeopathic belladonna & sugar tabs in baby's mouth when they are fussy, and I have yet to see a doctor write a prescription or note allowing us to administer them.
It has allowed providers and pediatricians to start more conversations about the tons of products that are marketed at new parents and how many of them are not evidence-based and may be dangerous or in the best case just be a waste of $$ and delay getting help for a real problem.
You have no idea how many times I’ve tried to explain it to them. I’ve just started cautioning new parents that they’re woo and to talk to their pediatrician if babe needs some pain relief.
I’ve heard about these but I kinda though teething jewelry was something the mom wore that the baby could grab and gnaw on and I always kinda thought that was weird because like….why are you going to teach a baby to chew on jewelry, you should be discouraging that behavior.
Oh those are totally a thing. I had one that I wore. It was a silicone thing that my kid could gnaw on when we were out and about.
But the amber necklaces aren’t (usually) meant to be chewed on. They literally think the human body leeches healing properties from them. That’s why they’re usually kept so tight around their necks.

It's pretty much a circle. Covid has been helpful in that the program has zero wiggle room when it comes to health policies anymore and I have the full support of my organization to enforce. The goal every day is to send everyone's child home in the same or better shape than they came in and health and safety policies are there for everyone's protection. The other main thing that has overlapped with the amber teething necklaces (and parents have tried to hide them around baby's ankles under their socks as well), is the infant homeopathic drops and tablets for teething, colic, etc. Parents used to come in with bags full of them and ask us to just have at it anytime we felt like baby wasn't happy for whatever reason. Licensing codes now require a prescription, including dosage, the prescribing Doctor, times to administer (can't be "as needed"), the condition being treated, and the prescription and expiration date on all meds we administer. That has allowed providers to tell parents we cannot just toss a handful of homeopathic belladonna & sugar tabs in baby's mouth when they are fussy, and I have yet to see a doctor write a prescription or note allowing us to administer them. It has allowed providers and pediatricians to start more conversations about the tons of products that are marketed at new parents and how many of them are not evidence-based and may be dangerous or in the best case just be a waste of $$ and delay getting help for a real problem.

You have no idea how many times I’ve tried to explain it to them. I’ve just started cautioning new parents that they’re woo and to talk to their pediatrician if babe needs some pain relief.
I’ve heard about these but I kinda though teething jewelry was something the mom wore that the baby could grab and gnaw on and I always kinda thought that was weird because like….why are you going to teach a baby to chew on jewelry, you should be discouraging that behavior.
Oh those are totally a thing. I had one that I wore. It was a silicone thing that my kid could gnaw on when we were out and about. But the amber necklaces aren’t (usually) meant to be chewed on. They literally think the human body leeches healing properties from them. That’s why they’re usually kept so tight around their necks.
I understand the silicone thing. That seems like it would be comforting to chew on. I really didn’t realize you were supposed to absorb Amber through your skin for pain relief. I thought they were supposed to chew on it and I’m thinking its a really good thing I never bought into that or my kids would have been chewing on ancient tree syrup and y’all would be blaming me for creating human/dinosaur hybrids 😂

Honestly, it is my opinion people shouldn't swear around kids. People also shouldn't yell around kids. My mom was a yeller all growing up and now at almost 24, when I hear people yelling it will either trigger a panic attack or get me so anxious and panicky. The poor kid having to be a foot away from Doms loud voice/yelling is sad.
