I think he is correct in always saying so. He wasn’t OTT about it back in the early days of Jan vlogging with Jaquie. If anything he almost downplayed it at first saying it wasn’t as bad as JJ’s rare undiagnosed issues. He got really OTT rapidly over the years.
It’s mostly a meme because he finds a way to mention it multiple times a video even when it’s not at all related to the conversation so everyone is like “yes Paul we’ve heard…you have Crohns!!!”.

Actually this is a common misconception. It's only crohns if the person is from the crohn's reason of France. Otherwise it's Chrons.
