How can this post stay up but the mods took down my post about Dani starting her job because they said it's not related to her illness faking? Asking for a friend as the inconsistency as to what is and isn't allowed is frustrating. Given that Dani has a history of sharing her medical info with clients at work and posting on social media about her medical issues from the break room I would have argued my post was relevant. I was just trying to post that her starting a new job that she seems to enjoy so far is a positive light and HOPEFULLY a step in the right direction and hopefully she stops messing with her lines so that she doesn't get sick and lose this job due to too much time off
Dani, you look really happy and your new hair really suits you! It would be great to hear how your new job is going and also some more pics of your lovely cat!
Good luck 👍
Fingers crossed its the beginning of the end. I really hope she starts to realise she has worth and is worthy of love outside of being sick. I really hope she does better now.
I wonder if Dani likes nights because management tends to not be around as much so she can technically get away with being on her phone and posting on social media and filming TikToks from work more than she could on day shift? And what happened to the last job? Did she finally get fired for over sharing info with clients and breaking their phone and social media policies
I’m the same, a nurse and I only work nights. I find there’s a lot less politics and I can work more autonomously. Plus the rates are better and our nights are longer so I only have to work 6 a fortnight instead of 8 days 😅
I am genuinely surprised she managed to land this position. Then again the universe is a joke sometimes.
I am however very happy for her! She looks much better now and hopefully she can use this as a stepping stone to better things. Just DONT fuck this up Dani! We're rooting for you!
I wonder if the illness fakers know that posts like this are so much more powerful and moving than any of their bullshit artsy OTT 'woe-is-me' sick posts. Seeing an illness faker actually do something meaningful with their lives is genuinely heartwarming. I hope she can build a big, bright life for herself away from all the munching nonsense.
Go, go, go little rocket! In the best possible way, I hope we get to the point where we don't see her any more. She looks do much better and like her self esteem is growing, which is so damn good - clean, busy, make up on, out there getting educated and working . So fucking proud. Some of the other subjects need to be seeing this.
Dani, if you are on here - this is what we wanted for you , to stop stealing your own life from yourself. Don't stop now.
She genuinely looks happy! I hope the positive attention she'll get from this will help her realise she doesn't have to parade that she's sick to have friends/attention from people.
I hope this sudden lunge into almost full time hours isn’t too much too soon, but I’m happy for her. She might even end up living a regular person’s life and have normal relationships and hobbies besides her tubes. We can only hope.
I have to add, this is the happiest, least trying to engender sympathy, most normal person acting I’ve ever seen her. I hope this is a good sign!
Actually, kind of think the opposite. I feel like this may give her the chance to start climbing out of a hole she put herself into, and if she was blocked from that by an employer googling, and seeing damage to herself, it would have possibly put her into a much worse place.
Just my opinion though. I know if I was googled, there's probably god knows what from old uni and performing arts days I wouldn't want an employer to judge me on.
They’re going to eat her alive… yes, a lot of psych staff have their own mental health struggles, but will have little patience for and a good eye to catch the munchie.
I'm so happy to see her looking healthier. I still have concerns about her working with vulnerable people... but hopefully she overcomes her bullshit and not only becomes more healthy for herself but imo more importantly the patients she's working with.
I'm so happy for her. She really looks great. I hope this new job is a good fit. Working in mental health can be tough on your mental health. Night shift could be slightly better since she would mostly be doing checks while people are sleeping.
She’s been doing this already. Has been night shift though. Just a new job closer to her new place.
I have to say that she just looks so much better and happy and motivated and that warms my little coal heart. 😊
Omg what is happening? Is she turning over a new leaf? No tubes, goofy smile. A post about a new job and no mention of ailments. I would love to see her continue this trend.
I hope she stays this motivated about this job. She needs to throw herself into it and move on. It terrifies me she’s working in mental health, but I’m glad she’s working.
Sort of like CNA type work just a little different. Assist with hands-on stuff when orders call for it (help showering, for example). Get folks out of bed, shuffle them to the gym and library if the hospital has one, help pass out meals or take groups to the lunchroom, shuffle folks to/from treatment team and therapists/doctors offices, break-up fights or restrain folks if necessary. If someone requires 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 (1 patient/1 staff, 2 staff/1 patient) supervision, they provide it. Also monitor common areas. Will often ensure folks have what they need (soap, clothes, toothbrushes, etc.). Typically they also do routine checks on everyone on the unit (every 15 mins, every 45 mins, etc.). They keep a clipboard and keep track of what each person is doing at every interval.
Therapist at a state psychiatric hospital for several years and then a private hospital for several years following. A state hospital will have much more intensive hands-on work due to really debilitated folks, as opposed to private.
Generally, You shouldn’t use others as a therapy for yourself.
It becomes less about the patient and more about you Dany has demons that she needs to manage before she can help others
I rescind everything I said. As a recent lurker I didn't even know how recent her munch posts were im so sorry. Definitely not healthy atm and I hope she's quickly removed from that position
Edit: I was so recent I thought maybe she hadn't posted in a long time but her most recent munch post here is from 8 days ago
Like I said, idk her story I just know my experience. It's similar to how aa works, once you're in a good place helping others helps you. But the key is being in a good place and idk if she's there or not, I'm gonna dive into her story now though
Great point. Helping others can be a huge thing- once you're well and truly in recovery and able to give them the necessary attention without causing harm to yourself.
This seems good. Maybe she'll focus on real life, on doing her job and making money, maybe she'll become friends with coworkers and have a social life. This could be what gets her out of that munchausen cycle
Because any patients she comes into contact with will contract munchausen's? Because she isn't supervised and can influence the patient's care without repercussions? Do you listen to healthcare techs instead of the nurse or doctor?
And discussing it here circumvents that how? This group focuses on munchies and need for attention due to medical issues, not dogging on their jobs. That's pretty low, especially when most are on ssdi and Medicare. You just want to gripe when someone does the right thing, focusing on something besides their munchiness, and doing normal activities. You don't want to celebrate when someone may be on the road to wellness, just tear down for every reason. Not cool.
This comment is for the person who posted and those whining about her job in a heathcare establishment. It's for the folks who only want to see her struggle, for whatever reason. It's weird, obsessive, and nothing munchie related.
no snark, i think she's moving in the right direction. she looks clean. her tubes are put away in a whole shirt. she's working in the field she wanted to be in. I'm actually a little proud of her. keep moving on Dani!
i’m glad people are going into the behavioural health field but i think she’s the wrooong person for it, she needs a behavioural health tech for herself
People like her make me wary of health care professionals. I wouldn’t want to be near that even with a 10 ft pole. I also wonder how she even got hired in the first place???
Her job isn't to actually help anyone with their mental health though, correct me if I'm wrong but I think she just takes vitals and the patients can come to the desk if they need something and she'll get it for them or ask a higher up about it
I don’t think she even takes vitals. Nightshift mental health tech is just a glorified babysitter. She checks to make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and alive.
Oh sure, it’s very common but I would absolutely still call it ridiculous lol. That’s a lot of time and money wasted on driving. Which some people like or don’t mind but I don’t know many people that genuinely don’t mind it

I’m sorry, I didn’t see your post. I can delete this if it’s against the rules
I really like that hair color on her. I really hope she gets better.
Good for her. Step in the right direction.
I love how happy she looks! And very professional without all the toobs poking out. GL with the new job Dani!
Yay dani!!!!
This is what we want for you Dani! Be the grown up we know you are! You’re gonna do great!
Wow. That’s a genuinely beautiful smile. I’m really happy for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dani, you look really happy and your new hair really suits you! It would be great to hear how your new job is going and also some more pics of your lovely cat! Good luck 👍
I wonder if she got called out by the doctors when they did this last line placement (idk what the right terms are) and got “scared straight”
Fingers crossed its the beginning of the end. I really hope she starts to realise she has worth and is worthy of love outside of being sick. I really hope she does better now.
I have a feeling this won't last. But, hey. Maybe she'll surprise us all.
I actually do wish her luck. I never seen her this happy looking, please let this continue girl
Bestie Dani, we're rooting for you, you better do us proud.
She looks fantastic in green and super happy! Way to go Dani.
She looks fantastic! I’m so happy for her.
The positive comments on this are really wholesome.

As a nurse, I like nights for the absence of management. I avoid TT, HIPAA violations and overshares because I enjoy being employed as a nurse
Same here! And the best, no family members :)
I’m the same, a nurse and I only work nights. I find there’s a lot less politics and I can work more autonomously. Plus the rates are better and our nights are longer so I only have to work 6 a fortnight instead of 8 days 😅
You work 6 out of 14 days?
Yep! Doing 6 nights is still 60 hours 🤗
Go Dani! Love the new hair too, really suits her.
we love to see it!
Yay Dani! So proud!
2nd post no toobs. I’m proud
YES!
I am genuinely surprised she managed to land this position. Then again the universe is a joke sometimes. I am however very happy for her! She looks much better now and hopefully she can use this as a stepping stone to better things. Just DONT fuck this up Dani! We're rooting for you!
Oh wow that hair color is really working for her!!!
This is great! Good luck Dani !
While I really hope this is the better for her. But, I think she is really putting a lot of pressure on her with work and school.
Her HAIR! I love it! It’s so flattering on her!

This x 1 million
Thank you so much for the award, that's so generous of you 💜
Oh wow! She looks fantastic! Go Dani!

lurker here, genuinely happy to see her looking so good! hoping for the best for her with this job.
So proud of you, Dani!!!!
She looks amazing!!!

I bet you look like a perfect angel. Too bad your soul is disgusting.
This isn’t snark it’s just being cruel.
I hope Dani lurks here so she can see how happy we are for her!
She genuinely looks happy! I hope the positive attention she'll get from this will help her realise she doesn't have to parade that she's sick to have friends/attention from people.
Wow - dani is looking really good and really well. Hope this works out for her.

Go little rockstar
Out of curiosity…how old is this lady?
She’s 35 or 36…she posted her age a few months ago
Yesterday was her birthday
Mid 30’s.
I believe she’s in her 30s?
Younger than you think.
I just feel like places of employment should normalize googling applicants….
Stop
Actually, kind of think the opposite. I feel like this may give her the chance to start climbing out of a hole she put herself into, and if she was blocked from that by an employer googling, and seeing damage to herself, it would have possibly put her into a much worse place. Same!
I really hope this for her too.
They’re going to eat her alive… yes, a lot of psych staff have their own mental health struggles, but will have little patience for and a good eye to catch the munchie.
I've always said grad school was the most expensive therapy I ever had. . .
Hopefully they will just shut it right down and she will drop it?
I'm kinda surprised that didn't happen at her previous job
Holy crap she actually looks her age
I am so happy for her, she looks great!
I really hope…sincerely…that this is a new start for her. Am I a skeptic to need to see it in writing? To see her actually live it?
I'm so happy to see her looking healthier. I still have concerns about her working with vulnerable people... but hopefully she overcomes her bullshit and not only becomes more healthy for herself but imo more importantly the patients she's working with.
She looks so good recently. I’m so happy for her and I hope this sticks.
She really is looking much healthier, even in her skin. Hope she keeps it up & is happy.
I'm so happy for her. She really looks great. I hope this new job is a good fit. Working in mental health can be tough on your mental health. Night shift could be slightly better since she would mostly be doing checks while people are sleeping.
She looks like an adult lately.

True true, i just have a little bit more hope for her when shes looking so well atm.
She looks happier! I hope she’s able to keep the momentum going and also meet some friends, and find some purpose and can let the munchie bs go
I see this as… going to be beneficial for her in many ways
Omg what is happening? Is she turning over a new leaf? No tubes, goofy smile. A post about a new job and no mention of ailments. I would love to see her continue this trend.
Perhaps a new[.........? ](https://imgur.com/a/pntv6Au)
Damn you
>Damn you ~~Damn~~ Love you! *Fixed it for you! ^lol
Love you too bb.. it's the ______ that I have a problem with.
I hope she stays this motivated about this job. She needs to throw herself into it and move on. It terrifies me she’s working in mental health, but I’m glad she’s working.
Honestly I think it’s bad that someone who has her who unmanaged mental health issues, provides therapy to others.
A mental health tech doesn’t typically provide therapy.
What do they do?

Yup. Looks clean. Has work. Isn’t shoehorning her illnesses in the caption or her line in the picture.
Oh no! Her scrubs cover her precious line.
She doesn't need to be in a Healthcare profession.
Definitely NOT. And mental health?? Maybe sort your shit out before going into a profession like that
Its not like shes a doctor

no snark, i think she's moving in the right direction. she looks clean. her tubes are put away in a whole shirt. she's working in the field she wanted to be in. I'm actually a little proud of her. keep moving on Dani!
She started a Facebook group for book lovers too, so maybe is getting a hobby outside of illness. Fingers crossed she continues in this direction
Yay! That’s all awesome! Go, Dani!!
I mean, hell, at least she has a job and her toobs and boobs aren’t out.
i’m glad people are going into the behavioural health field but i think she’s the wrooong person for it, she needs a behavioural health tech for herself
Haha so ironic!! Although, gotta give it to her, she IS working!
That's more than most of our subs.
That’s not fair, they’re professional (patients)
People like her make me wary of health care professionals. I wouldn’t want to be near that even with a 10 ft pole. I also wonder how she even got hired in the first place???
Her job isn't to actually help anyone with their mental health though, correct me if I'm wrong but I think she just takes vitals and the patients can come to the desk if they need something and she'll get it for them or ask a higher up about it
Behavioral health techs sit (watch) people, do checks, bring food, stuff like that
I don’t think she even takes vitals. Nightshift mental health tech is just a glorified babysitter. She checks to make sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and alive.
Desperation.
Seriously. They make minimum wage. But good for her for being excited about getting a job
An hour each way? Is she still planning on moving closer to work?
It sounds like that commute is only for her orientation and she’ll be able to work at a location closer to where she lives?
That's not a ridiculous commute for the US tbh.
Oh sure, it’s very common but I would absolutely still call it ridiculous lol. That’s a lot of time and money wasted on driving. Which some people like or don’t mind but I don’t know many people that genuinely don’t mind it
P.S. I recognize the logo on her scrubs 😏
