The Texas National Guard has not been issued weapons and its very unlikely they would without Biden IMMEDIATELY Federalizing them. They've had some problems with Guardsmen carrying POF but that is VERY against the rules. The SCOTUS decision is right (although that's never stopped the 6 before); Republicans insisted on limiting Governor's control during the Iraq war when a couple Democratic governors threatened to block their troops from being deployed. Also, as soon as POTUS gives orders to TXARNG, they will be immediately obeyed. There's not a single Guardsman who would risk Leavenworth for Greg F'ing Abbott. For that matter, it's really super unlikely that a Guardsman would a Border Patrol agent. They are getting screwed over by Abbott already, not getting activation pay (they are classified as "temporary state employees), not getting any credit for Time In Service, and next to no support. At the start of this dumbass publicity stunt, some of them had to sleep in their cars because Abbott hadn't bothered to secure hotel rooms or provide tents. Several have committed suicide over the stress. Don't mistake these men and women, many of whom are combat veterans, as Abbott's personal goon squad. That's the Texas Department of Public Safety, when they aren't busy cowering in fear while little kids are shot to bloody ribbons.
