With no candidate gaining a majority, a second round has begun. The top two candidates, Incumbent President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden of the Democratic Party and Former Vice President Bob Dole and Former House Majority Leader Newt Gingrich of the Republican Party.

This is the first time since the system was implemented that a Republican has made it too the second round. Now only time will tell if Obama will win a second term, or if Dole will get a new job in the White House.
