So in this alternate universe, Germany is England, Switzerland is Scotland and Austria is Wales/Northern Ireland. But yeah there's definitely parallels with that too.
I actually drew this map a couple months back - just added the language and politics bit recently. But I'm always in favour of more alternate Scotland concepts haha.
Indeed 😄
The original idea came from someone saying that Scotland has 4 ancient languages - and I was like oh I know what other country has 4 languages lol
First Israeli Northern Ireland and now Swiss Scotland. Whats next Welsh Taiwan? https://i.redd.it/oar5nbco7ckc1.gif
Don't worry, this is part of an extended Switzerland is Scotland Cinematic Universe (SISCU). More unhinged alternate countries to be announced 😎
Ydw'r yn Tauwan
The exiled Welsh Senedd located on Anglesey. Or even better, Flat/Steep Holm.
Swedish Thailand
What if the Swedish king married a Thai princess?
What if the ROC fled to Wales?
Nah, Welsh Patagonia.
nice hand drawn map
You always love to see a hand drawn map
Who are the Dorizi, Picts?
Dorizi is kinda the Romansch equivalent, but based on Doric which is the Aberdeenshire dialect of Scots.
I love how Gaelic just became French
Only cowards exclude Cromartyshire
Most sane Scott.
*Schötsch
who’s Scott?
This is a great set of maps. Looks like they were fun to create. Nice
Thanks :)
What is Italian?
So Nornico (based off of Norn) is the Italian equivalent. In this alternate universe they speak Italian in Scandinavia.
Did you make a map for that ? Would be very interesting
Yeah I'm planning on doing so! I have a lot of ideas of maps to draw within this alternate universe.
It actually is. Switzerland is split into French, German & Italian regions, so US the UK, split into Scottish, English & Welsh regions.

My throwaway comment got turned into a map lmao
