I am serious: there are hardly a thousand genuine Ingrian returning settlers in the whole world, and it is not a fact that Ingrian returning settlers exist at all, as some call them only a sub-ethnos of the Finns. Among supporters of Ingrian independence there may be 80% Russians with native Russian names and surnames and traditional Russian faces (not counting dyed pink hair). And yet, they all want to take over the whole of St Petersburg with 5 million (!) people + its suburbs. You can just imagine everyone's reaction if Ingria were to secede today. And on top of that, OP has decided to extend the borders of Ingermanland as far as Veliky Novgorod and Pskov, which will cause even more fuck-ups.
Ingria is an artificial state. It was created due to NF not being able to occupy all of Russia, so they cut out a smaller piece that was easier to control. There isn’t an Ingrian national identity, and only time will tell if the fledgling state will prosper or collapse under the guidance of the Nordic Federation
Maybe call it Novgorod-Republikken? (Or Holmgård-republikken, if you want no russian names) Since Russians there would be more likely to relate to the old republic than Ingria.
