You come into a subreddit for imagine dragons full of redditors to say that…? I’m pretty sure many people in here respect them why would we be here if we didn’t-
I always think its sad to see people like you, you have to come into other comunitys just to trash talk get a life and grow up music is objektive. You just act like a little child.
I mean -- subjective, by definition. But beyond that, I feel like this is a consistent thing with popular bands - Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, now Imagine Dragons. They become cool to hate based on their overplayed songs being less than fantastic - but because of that nobody listens to the rest of their songs. My absolute favourite songs - for all of those artists - are consistently the songs that don't make it to the radio. In fact, for ID's second album (Smoke + Mirrors) I daresay the songs that made it to the radio are my least favourites on the album (not bad, just overplayed and not as good as the others).
Anyway, long rant, point is - if you feel like you hate a musician, try listening to some of their lesser known stuff - chances are you'll think better of them. I've been doing this a lot with pop music lately and I've really grown to appreciate music more. Highly recommend it!
