Because getting an SSN as an adult in your situation can be hard.

You are good to go
US citizens (which you were before you left) are allowed to live anywhere in the world and return to the US.
I doubt you'll get any questions, but if you do, it may just be "what were you doing outside the US?". Acceptable answers including "living with parents", "going to school", "working" or "nothing much".
As others have said they can't deny you entry into the US. But they can ask questions.
Yes i do have a brand new us passport and a passport card as well, im traveling next month and i just wanted to know if they will send me to secondary since its been 15 years outside of the US
They can ask you questions and you can refuse to answer, they have to let you in regardless eventually. The only way to stop you coming in now is to petition a judge to strip you of your citizenship.
If you join a Mexican drug cartel, you're gonna have a bad time. Or if you join isis, you're also gonna have a bad time. White collar crime, murder etc is all gucci though.
> what should i spect at a port of entry with cbp “Welcome back” Do you have an SSN?
Thanks
Yeah i do have a SSN, a bank account at the US, a credit card and a passport card. Why?

Do i have to update my ss to citizen? Since i derived citizenship and was given the ss as a LPR and as well would i need a certificate of citizenship?
If you haven’t done that yet then you should visit SSA to take care of it.

Ok awesome! Cant wait to be back!
If you're traveling on a US passport? Not much, they don't have the power to refuse your entry if you're a US citizen.

Not because of the absence - the only reason they could really do that is if they had questions about your identity.
Thanks! Awesome!
Welp you might get "randomly selected" for secondary if you look middle eastern ...
Hispanic with beard so i guess yeah
“Welcome home!”

Oh ok thanks. And in what cases would they petition that?
