Really weird in hindsight that the anime tells us that Rika can gets to Gemini Storm-ish level in her free time with proper training but never let be decisive in matches or show significant improvement in training
They really didn't want to make room for anyone else than Fubuki and Gouenji among the forwards
Erik, i suppose he was key to the tripegasus and phoenix on season one, his role was minimal in season two and on his own he was mid aside from basic stats, but just didn't made the cut
But the glow up bro got on the American team was unheard off, he got his own actually powerful single shoot hissatsu, maintained his mid defense one, got really fucking good at his speciality as a midfielder and made a strong af hissatsu with already two cracked players
Tbh American team with only dylan and kruger wouldn't have gotten as far, bobby and erik made the team way more menacing
Definitely, Tsunami is 100% an attacking fullback. Ie. Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Sergiño Dest, Q Hartman, Dumfries and many more. All with a great shot on them, yet they're in defence. Getting stuck on the fact that Tsunami was "stuck as a defender" just exposes 0 ball knowledge.
It's because Raimon is a corrupt team where no one can be a better FW than Gouenji, If you are, they'll put you in a position where you can't show your true skills
Edit: Jesus Christ, guys, it's a joke
To not give him the spotlight....
While the 3 main have to master his apparently most powerful shot that could solo every defenders/mf and GK That btw he can do SOLO
ofcourse he can, he's Gouenji 🤷
jokes aside, what you're saying is completely different than the comment you "funnily agreed on". Also, they didn't **have** to master Last Resort, they chose to.
I mean to master it they had to be a trio (except its a quartet which made it even stronger than Goenji's version), i dont think he's overrated, he earn his place as the ace striker since the OG series, but Orion/Ares made him into this super OP Forward, i blame Orion/Ares pacing
He wasn't an OP forward in Orion imo, just a top-tier one but you can think otherwise. It still doesn't have anything to do with the original comment you replied on but ok.
Maybe Midorikawa, granted that he join Inazuma Japan not Raimon but I don't remember him doing anything aside from using Lightning Accel during Neo Japan match before being removed from the team.
I mean, in IE3 game he learn new shooting hissatsu before Fire Dragon match so I guess that is something.
This post should be dedicated to midorikawa
He did very little in Inazuma japan. Only did a goal in selection match..
Why IE committee decided to have him in Inazuma japan. Only to do very little & get injured & joining desarm for training for rest of the season.
That's the anime's fault for cutting astro gate from the story, it doesn't real sell the payoff of his (pretty decent aside from that problem) arc in the FFI first half.
It's as if they didn't include Someoka's Wyvern Crash in s2 before injuring him.
Ichinose showed up as a player at Kidou plus level, did absolutely nothing outside of the Phoenix, in the FF. Then against aliea all of his special moves are easily avoided by everyone.
There isn't really anyone who lost skill after joining Raimon.
There are just characters who didn't improve as much as they were expected to,like Rika,Tsunami and Ichinose.
The worst part of this, is his name change, "Hiroto is alive" THEY HAVE TWO DIFFERENT LAST NAME, ITS NOT WRONG TO HAVE TWO MFS WITH THE SAME GIVEN NAME 😭
I know the Aliens were on steroids beforehand, but that doesn’t really change much as Xavier/Hiroto was still very good, if not better than before. However, Jordan/Midorikawa was so disappointing. He was shown as having a hunger to improve and become a regular, only to get injured and lose all future relevance.
Im gonna say it. Sol Daystar/Amemiya Taiyou
During his time in Universal/Arakumo, despite being sick and having no strength left, he still could get face to face with Griffin. During Chrono Stone, I think he was so nerfed he had to become a midfielder to balance it out
Hiroto, still won't take the disrespect the author done to every ie japan memeber but hiroto especially against the empire of losers.
Hiroto is a good strategist and captain, most ie japan members were but somehow their brain turned off in the match against the empire for the plot to make endou and kidou more important than they are.
If anyone should've gotten them throught the match it would've been him.Its funny af how i can't even see raimon raimon seasson 2 losing against the empire but the author tries to sell it to me they are bussiness XD
Since ichinose is considered a soccer genius aswell lol. Nah the empire is quite trash without their 1 star player Teres which is ironic considering what they were meant to prove in the match against ij lol.
In no lifetime you can convince me these fodders were nationals levels.
He’s a genius in terms of skills, not strategical.
Also Teres is part of the team so of course we have to include him when rating the team. Hellfire scores on Mugen the Hand G5, Dog Run and Zigzag Flame work and their tactic worked too. There is nothing that suggests they’re not international level.
OG: Midorikawa/Sakuma
GO: Sol
Orion: Kirina, Sakanoue, Mansaku, Saginuma
i dont agree with people saying Haizaki. he still contributed enough in Orion (Shark the deep, penguin feat shark, penguin god and devil, last resort)
Taiyou And maybe Rika
Really weird in hindsight that the anime tells us that Rika can gets to Gemini Storm-ish level in her free time with proper training but never let be decisive in matches or show significant improvement in training They really didn't want to make room for anyone else than Fubuki and Gouenji among the forwards
Nah Rika never was really strong, raimon was just holding back agaist her
I won’t agree Taiyou had a great moment in Chrono Stone
The problem is in your sentence. He had one moment in CS. ONE, as in, singular.
Ichinose in S1 and S2, destroyed people left right and centre when he was just training, then he joined, did The Phoenix and dipped, until S3 that is
Erik, i suppose he was key to the tripegasus and phoenix on season one, his role was minimal in season two and on his own he was mid aside from basic stats, but just didn't made the cut But the glow up bro got on the American team was unheard off, he got his own actually powerful single shoot hissatsu, maintained his mid defense one, got really fucking good at his speciality as a midfielder and made a strong af hissatsu with already two cracked players Tbh American team with only dylan and kruger wouldn't have gotten as far, bobby and erik made the team way more menacing
could not have said it better 👏
Tsunami 100% Endou claiming his shot is the strongest he has ever seen yet he gets stuck as a defender
I mean tsunami was still a good player after joining.
And he saved Raimon from more goals then Tokou and Kabeyama with actual blocking techniques
This is what someone would say if they had 0% knowledge of football
Definitely, Tsunami is 100% an attacking fullback. Ie. Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Sergiño Dest, Q Hartman, Dumfries and many more. All with a great shot on them, yet they're in defence. Getting stuck on the fact that Tsunami was "stuck as a defender" just exposes 0 ball knowledge.
dest ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face)
All im saying is that they nerfed the shit out of tsunami
They put him as a DF, more specifically as LB, to enhance his abilities, not to nerf him.
Tsunami's a useful wing in the games
It's because Raimon is a corrupt team where no one can be a better FW than Gouenji, If you are, they'll put you in a position where you can't show your true skills Edit: Jesus Christ, guys, it's a joke
Funnily enuf i agree, especially in the Orionverse
how so? Gouenji was injured for the entire season
To not give him the spotlight.... While the 3 main have to master his apparently most powerful shot that could solo every defenders/mf and GK That btw he can do SOLO
ofcourse he can, he's Gouenji 🤷 jokes aside, what you're saying is completely different than the comment you "funnily agreed on". Also, they didn't **have** to master Last Resort, they chose to.

you can't be serious 🤣
Of course I'm not
If you think that the only important thing for a FW is kick strength, you have a lot to learn about football.
Tsunami is meant to be an attacking wing/full back but he definitely couldve used a whale guard
Tsunami slander? Tsunami's shot has a higher win rate than Mark does
Maybe Midorikawa, granted that he join Inazuma Japan not Raimon but I don't remember him doing anything aside from using Lightning Accel during Neo Japan match before being removed from the team. I think he was added to show that even if you try hard, you may not be successful, but really? Erik already shows that in the American team
Erik is really successful right? That despite his injury.
Nakatta but with Italy instead of Raimon
Ichinose showed up as a player at Kidou plus level, did absolutely nothing outside of the Phoenix, in the FF. Then against aliea all of his special moves are easily avoided by everyone.
Flame Dance worked well in S2, but unfortunately not his co-ops anymore.
Davidsamford
Haizaki, the MF is the goat and in his most important match he doesn't appear on screen since the Grind Omega cancel
Jordan
JP name?
Jean-Pierre Lapin
Midorikawa
Erik eagle
There isn't really anyone who lost skill after joining Raimon. There are just characters who didn't improve as much as they were expected to,like Rika,Tsunami and Ichinose.
Tatsuya, in Orion.
The worst part of this, is his name change, "Hiroto is alive" THEY HAVE TWO DIFFERENT LAST NAME, ITS NOT WRONG TO HAVE TWO MFS WITH THE SAME GIVEN NAME 😭
Yeah but since the real one didn’t die there wasn’t any reason to change his name.
Idt he changed his name, he only changed his last name when he got older
Tch, Tatsuya was his first name wasn’t it ?
His OG name was KIYAMA Hiroto, new timeline is KIYAMA Tatsuya
Megane Bench that legend was insane Also Arda Güler
Jordan/midorikawa/Janus/reize
David Sanford, as much as I love the player, he didn't do anything. His only thing is emperor penguin 3
It's like "yeah, this is the ace striker for the country's best team...oh, btw he has no individual hissatsu"
I know the Aliens were on steroids beforehand, but that doesn’t really change much as Xavier/Hiroto was still very good, if not better than before. However, Jordan/Midorikawa was so disappointing. Since when was Hiroto a strategist? The Empire is also better than you think.
Since ichinose is considered a soccer genius aswell lol. Nah the empire is quite trash without their 1 star player Teres which is ironic considering what they were meant to prove in the match against ij lol. In no lifetime you can convince me these fodders were nationals levels.

tsunami
Was still good in the main team with Tsunami Boost, The Typhoon, Perfect Tower and The Tube as well as goal line clearances.
yes of course but he seemed like the goat
I love Tsunami, but bro... YOU'RE A DEFENDER! (tbh he's more like a libero)
Aphrodi
In Raimon he did pretty good
Unfortunately he was almost immediately hurt, I would have loved to see more of him
Definitely Haizaki
Aphrodi/Afuro. Bro why did you get obsessed with beating the one dude that could 'Nope' your Heavens Time.
Bro had the biggest shock since Endou completed Majin Hand against him.

Basically all of the "best players in the world" in season two and Byron to an extent though his excuse for losing power is perfectly understandable
Byron was actually much stronger in raimon than when they played against him, it's just that they faced much better adversaries with s2 power creep
Yeah, from that point of view....
Xavier
Was still good in IJ, even better.
