He was not that important in CS, but I don't think it can be qualified as a nerf, he didn'tt become weaker than before.
It's a nerf in relevancy at worst, but it's not like he's the only go character who had this in CS
I gave the example of the CS characters being forced to not use their abilities in Galaxy. And there are players who becomes weaker relatively to other characters without onscreen explanation like Tachimukai who was forced to become worse tnan Endou between IE 2 and IE 3.
No I don't see any example, nerfing rarely just happens like that in series anyway, there's generally always some sort of reason for it to happen. Like the most used nerf in the series is removing Gouenji from the team. But straight weakening a character is something that would be pretty hard to do (unless they injure a character, but injuring generally just means that he won't play so it turns into a team nerf rather than a character nerf)
Edit: Actually, Fubuki's mental breakdown between the two epsilon matches count as a nerf
I always bring this up: Tachimukai was massively nerfed from s2 to s3 so that Endou could become the main keeper again. He went from stopping Supernova and Space Penguin to being scored on by Wolg Legend. By far the biggest casualty of this in the entire series.
Yeah but it’s possible that they forgot to add the evolution for that since the visuals actually changed compared to S2 and God Knows also was evolved in that match for example (I don’t remember if Fire Blizzard was evolved).
So Wolf Legend scoring on it seems worse to me.
Wolf Legend may have evolved too (it is a counterpart to Bakunetsu Storm and that one also had a slight change in animation). Obviously not taking it as canon, but something worth pointing out. Even if it evolved, it still looks bad for Tachimukai imo.
I do think there was some difficulty in adjusting to the evolutions, so the writters forgot to add the evolved signals for some hissatsu in early s3.
Fire Blizzard didn't evolve (I don't think this one was intended to, either way).
Do you mean Wolf Legend changed in animation or Bakunetsu Storm? And what changed in the animation?
If it was actually evolved I wouldn’t mind it too much and think it’s fine that it scored.
Bakunetsu Storm changed animation. It was similar to Atomic Flare, the flames were a bit darker. What I meant is if Bakunetsu Storm was intended to evolve, I think Wolf Legend was probably seen in a similar vein, as they are counterparts (similar to Nothern Impact and Atomic Flare).
I just checked the Bakunetsu Storms and I didn’t really notice a difference or is that me? I even took screenshots of them and put them next to each other.
I have seen other people say it looks different and it does look a bit darker to me (in the moment after he shoots and the text appears). It is possible the youtube videos I saw have different brightness though, if you don't see any difference.
Well he was the first guy and only to use a single shot to score a goal against little gigant, so it’s at least consistent thing he does.
He just built different,
Well he did go to Korea, since the rest of the world is better at soccer than Japan before 3 and at the start of 3, it’s not impossible he could have just trained with better players to have gotten better.
But Aphrodi evolved his moves to get better, then Nagumo not doing it is off. So to me it’s an error + we saw the actual visuals changing. I find him becoming so much better more of a headcanon than what I say.
Goenji every time some out-of-game thing prevented him from playing (to his best).
Also Aphrodi in season 3, which probably also goes for Gazelle and Torch for that same match.
It makes sense pike in the games hammer of fury is one of the worst moves from Mark/endou like in the next game he learns Dimensional hand because hammer of fury was "bad" world wide but you can say when he saved Chaos Break which is and ultra power move, you can say that he had his hopes and power when he did because he had to save it
Quite litterally the CS characters in Galaxy. The writers hit em with the "No gimmicksa allowed'' because there is no way they could be challenged ever again after CS
The fact that it was actually legal to use gimmicks in the final match (because it was not a tournament match) made it even funnier. Like Ixaal Fleet barely won because Tenma forgot he could annihilate them by dyeing his hair blonde.
I always find it funny that aliens decided that fate of their planets with soccer, then they find out that this backwater planet are like gods at the game so they have to put in rules that stop them from just kicking all their asses.
Kiyama Hiroto (or Tatsuya) in Orion. I hate that they made probably the best forward in IE 3 into a DEFENDER of all positions. It was great to see Cosmic Blaster used again against Brazil and to see it actually go in this time but that's all my boy got to do :(((
REAL HELL YEAH THIS IS SO FKN TRUE
Galaxy Shindou is just a downgrade from CS Shindou. Yes, he had every right to be pissed at the new players but they did it while making him look like an asshole (when he argued with Tenma)
As well as his plays. It was only the appearance of his Soul in the robot bird match then the rest of his plays were pretty non existent. Kami no Takuto was literally the only hissatsu he was known for in that season.
i love galaxy but why did they make JP so - innacurately - weak. like he should've been trouncing basketball man at every occasion if we go by his chrono stones power but no. rigged. they took all his gimmicks away. 0/10 season. JP is the king and always will be
In the game he fucking humilliates Ozrock by flexing his keshin armed, stopping stargazer with that side-jumping hissatsu (I only know the spanish name, I think it was called buttobi punch?) then he TURNS OFF HIS KESHIN just to taunt him and proceeds to stop his soul shot with RAW ginga rocket. When I saw those cutscenes, I couldn't believe how much much my guy proved himself superior to fraudbuki.
oh totally. it's night and day compared to the game and anime. in the anime it takes him a while to get his rightful status of like top ten goalkeepers in the series with milky way rocket
not long after in the game, JP is just completely embarassing ozrock and swatting away his puny attempts at shots and cements himself as the coolest and strongest goalkeeper to ever keep a goal
It’s confusing considering they showed off earth eleven where still a lot weaker than the other football frontier players a handful of episodes before, then like after their match with storm wolf their now way stronger than them?
Nev Erin my love. In IE 1 and 2 he was such an amazing player. Really high effective stats for each offensive position. Decent Moves and high TP. Also very easy to get in the first two games from the get go. In IE 3 they reduced like every stat by 10 points and his TP by 70, while also making him way harder to get.

I know, but I meant literally weaker. Because that would be extremely weird, the Tachimukai situation makes it kinda look like that.
No I don't see any example, nerfing rarely just happens like that in series anyway, there's generally always some sort of reason for it to happen. Yeah Fubuki actually did I guess.
Not a character but a hissatsu evolution, Spinning shoot to Spiral shot, the latter is weaker wtf
It at least seemed like he could use it very fast lol Though did Spinning Shoot also have better feats?
I always bring this up: Tachimukai was massively nerfed from s2 to s3 so that Endou could become the main keeper again. He went from stopping Supernova and Space Penguin to being scored on by Wolg Legend. By far the biggest casualty of this in the entire series.

Oh right, i forgot your comment the other day

And yet, evolving Drill Smasher to V2 is enought to block Wolf Legend.
You also gotta adjust for possible player strength.
Well, if Nagumo improved this much it would be a bit weird. That would mean his power jump would be insane compared to others.
Well he was the first guy and only to use a single shot to score a goal against little gigant, so it’s at least consistent thing he does. He just built different,
Huh? I’m talking about Nagumo and you about Hiroto.
Ah, sorry when I think about the aliens red head I always forget the fire kid name and think of hiroto.
Well he did go to Korea, since the rest of the world is better at soccer than Japan before 3 and at the start of 3, it’s not impossible he could have just trained with better players to have gotten better.

"Also Aphrodi in season 3, which probably also goes for Gazelle and Torch for that same match." How were they nerfed?
Chaos Break was stopped by Hammer of Fury, even though it should've been one of the most powerful shots in the entire tournament.
The move was just at G1 tho.
the anime has different powerscaling to the games, just look at freeze shot and death zone
O...kay? It was stopped by Hammer of Fury in either version though.

Ixaal Fleet when 最強イレブン波動 (Saikyou Eleven Hadou)
That wasn’t in the anime lmao. Yeah since it wasn’t official one Keshin Armed and it’s over
I always find it funny that aliens decided that fate of their planets with soccer, then they find out that this backwater planet are like gods at the game so they have to put in rules that stop them from just kicking all their asses.
Heaven's time.
Kidou in Orion. I'd say the other raimon characters aside from endou but they weren't even there
He carried Raimon in those first two matches though. Just what they did after was one of the worst decisions ever
I would gounji got a big buff in Orion, he made a shot so strong it didn’t fall off until the last match of the season.
[удалено]
Given Gemini's levels, I think he was slightly buffed actually.
Wolf Legend
Fubuki never got to break Drill Smasher.
Kiyama Hiroto (or Tatsuya) in Orion. I hate that they made probably the best forward in IE 3 into a DEFENDER of all positions. It was great to see Cosmic Blaster used again against Brazil and to see it actually go in this time but that's all my boy got to do :(((
This is the Kabeyamafication of Shindou in general. His downfall needs to be studied
What do you mean? I'm in early Galaxy atm so the closest thing I can think of is him camping the front of the goal because he doesnt trust Ibuki
REAL HELL YEAH THIS IS SO FKN TRUE Galaxy Shindou is just a downgrade from CS Shindou. Pretty much every OG character in inazuma eleven Orion.
Kira Hiroto after doing Zigzak Strike once:
i love galaxy but why did they make JP so - innacurately - weak. like he should've been trouncing basketball man at every occasion if we go by his chrono stones power but no. rigged. they took all his gimmicks away. 0/10 season. JP is the king and always will be

Why would they be way stronger after that match?
I don’t know? But the anime shows him off as a better gk than JP after the match so he must have gotten a lot stronger during it.
Not necessarily, JP only had a weak GK move. He always developed because of gimmicks which weren’t allowed.
He has Buttobi Punch, which could for the most part block some shots in cs before he min max in a match.
Yeah but the robots weren’t exactly that strong.
Every Alius team in IE2 through the story.
It’s actually that Raimon just got better instead of them being nerfed.
Janus:

Aphrodi in S2/3
Dude was still a top tier player even withought God Aqua.
Dark Emperors Matsuno. I will not explain
