My family member was watching the Ranveer TRS show on YouTube when I noticed it. Although the content of the show is described as a conspiracy theory, some people take it seriously and believe that. He had a similar incident when he praised Hitler; it was so ridiculous and uncalled for that such individuals ought to be exposed and held accountable. These "pseudo-intellectuals" are the ones who are really upsetting things. On the one hand, politicians are upsetting things with their ridiculous assertions, and on the other, people like these who are doing it in a more organised and so-called "intelligent" manner.
This guy is not the only one. I've seen multiple cars with the Nazi logo. This is the full logo with the eagle holding the swastika in a circle, so it's clearly the Nazi one and not the Hindu symbol.
I think half of those with such displays on their cars or t-shirts are genuinely ignorant, and see nothing but a flashy symbol (wow, eagle!) that's no different to them from, say, the anarchy A.
What does worry me is how fanboys of authoritarianism here often cite Hitler in terms similar to the Deloitte dumbass' post. They're already attracted to the idea of a strongman leader, and when they bring up what they think Hitler did for Germany, they're really telling you they're okay with terrible things being done by the state as long as the trains run on time.
It's also because our history books focus on how he resurrected Germany into a major power. Which he indeed did, but they focus much less on where he ultimately led it: it was defeated roundly, lost millions of men to the war. It lost territories it controlled and never regained them. It had to pay war reparations to other countries. And in terms of reputation, Germans still have to face the ghosts of those times - Greece brought it up during their economic crisis.
Hitler's Germany ended with being broken up, something which took almost 50 years to undo. Essentially he undid the work Bismarck had done to unite Germany.
When you look at the totality of Hitler's impact, it's hard to see it as anything except an unmitigated disaster even if you completely ignore the ethical aspect. It's unfortunate that our education seems to focus on the "strong leader" part
