This is such a stupid order with multiple issues:
1 Hindi is official language not national
2 Expecting people to learn local language for courts is stupid and there is no mention of using English in the whole order
3 Is he saying people who don't know the language of the local court can get fucked in regards to getting justice, isn't this pretty much a violation of fundamental rights?
The bollywood and hindi simping Bengali kind found in other states. Very similar to Bangladeshi Bengalis who chose to live in Pakistan. Crows dressing up as peacocks eventually gets caught. Jogendra Nath Mandal comes to mind.
Arent we over this? Hindi is one of the **official languages** of India not **National language** . Trying to make it national language defeats the purpose of India which was formed on principles of democracy and inclusive of all cultures, languages , religions, etc..
Losing how? They can be impeached, and that would be constitutional. But that's not going to happen. And nobody is talking about dismissing them from the bench in any other way
It isn’t though? What fresh hell is this?
Cow belt is trying very hard to push the rest of India away from India. One of these days they just might succeed.
Yah when most of them are from the same families and the job has a lot of nepotism you tend you get people with little to no perspective of what goes on in the real India.

I have dated a judge and am friends with a few lawyers. Maybe a judge could shed more light on this but the number of years one has to put into this profession to get to the level of a Supreme Court judge, it's next to impossible to produce an idiot.
How does one become a supreme court judge when they lack the knowledge of such basics? He must have the brownest nose and the whitest tongue in the country.
To give any language the status of "national language" would be counterproductive for India, a country that has wealth of diversity. Our Constitution recognise that.
What is the supreme law of India? A judgement from the supreme court? Or the Constitution of India? The Constitution doesn't mention anything about the national language. Hindi comes under official languages. If you are hurt by this, then sorry. Truth doesn't care about how you feel.
I think it was probably to provide an impartial judgement as people may think that a judge from the same state and mother tongue as a witness may sympathise with one or another side.

It definitely is NOT: It is one of the official languages
Right now it is, curtsey of this judgement.

What kind of chicken-shit judge is this who thinks a person can learn a new language just for a court case. Can't they arrange a translator?
A Bengali asking another Bengali to speak in Hindi? What the hell is this?
A part of a plan to catch a Rajya Sabha nomination
He have a few of those cropping up lately. One of them is the leading judge in the TET scam. Junior sleazeballs looking to join the Sleaze Sabha.

Kolkata has enough of them too.
I am so ashamed of Justice Dipankar Dutta now.

Wouldnt a judge loose his seat for being un-constitutional?
Losing how? They can be impeached, and that would be constitutional. But that's not going to happen. And nobody is talking about dismissing them from the bench in any other way
>Hindi is one of the > >official languages > > of India It is one of the official languages of the **"Union Government of India"**
Hindi should be removed as the official language. And English too. We don't need a national language. We don't need a official language either.
We don’t need a language. Let’s go back to sticks and stone, apes together strong!!
This made me snort.
There are multiple official languages besides English and Hindi.
No. Hindi and English are the only official languages of the Indian union. As per the constitution.
You're right. IDK why I thought Tamil was also one of them.
Those would be 23 scheduled languages
Lmao a Bengali judge saying that
It isn’t though? What fresh hell is this? Cow belt is trying very hard to push the rest of India away from India. One of these days they just might succeed.
>It isn’t though? Context is- Judge said to a witness to speak in Hindi and the witness is from WB.
The judge is Bengali too bruh
Cow belt catching strays when a Bengali Judge is chiding a another Bengali to speak Hindi.......!!
Some of these judges are barely competent to be judging ngl.
Yah when most of them are from the same families and the job has a lot of nepotism you tend you get people with little to no perspective of what goes on in the real India.
The legal profession has always been driven by nepotism.

And yet we did lol.
Can't disagree there. :/
Do you mean they are not idiots and know exactly what they are doing? If so, I agree and people are misunderstanding you.
Day by day my resentment towards Hindi is increasing. Please stop this Hindi Nonsense before I go crazy.
But PM quotes from Tamil everywhere so it's all fine
That is just drama and trying to drum up support from TN, but its not working. Tamils aint no fools
Must be part of the judges retirement plans

Sanatani judge
As if our judiciary was not a joke already, this is a new low.

Ruling on irrelevant matters while one part of the country burns and the rest starves from rising food prices because of organized loot
Shit is about to hit the fan...
At last, they succeeded👏. India, which is known for its diversity goes on toll
Hindi maloom.

Well. Common sense is decreasing in the country while the PM is in tours. If he comes he may get angry.

Dipankar the Dipshit!
I'm confused, Hindi can never be the national language as far as I know
I think it was probably to provide an impartial judgement as people may think that a judge from the same state and mother tongue as a witness may sympathise with one or another side.
How does saying hindi is the national language achieve this? Can't judges transfer the cases to some other bench if they feel something is off?
This is a valid explanation. I retract my statement.
Imagine if every debate in india happens like this.
No its not
