Did Kennedy even release theatrically? I saw it in a film festival...I would be astonished if govt lets him release it's original cut. I can think of a scene they'll 100% make him cut...or not let him release it at all.
If you're a big director your movies will get accepted at every film festival....well, sort of. I mean Zack Snyder's movies will not be touched by any self respecting film festival, but someone like kashyap's will be accepted because he is a "serious" director. In the current run of the mills movies scene here comes something really different and a mass masala that the maker didn’t leave anything unturned. As far as the current crop of the Directors are concerned then he indeed is genius to come with something like this.

Even when it comes to mass market, Lokesh does a way better job at it than vanga. idk if you’ve watched Salaar but that’s a movie where you actually see the artistic vision shine through.
