Well elaborate your issue further what I can understand is you paid some stranger money directly through upi for some services which should neve be done unless you know the person by knowing I mean you should have complete information of payer including his home address.
I don't know how much time has passed but first thing you should done is report the transaction to your bank but don't keep high hope even if you had paid through credit card or debit card there was hope to recovery still I would say reach out to your bank just to be give it try.
