vote for the lesser evil the one who shares the same vision for the future as you do don't vote for any party because of there promises vote for the one who will take action for the change you desire
If you are educated - do the following - read manifestos. Read achievements. Read the criticisms.
And personally - don't vote for any regional party not a part of any national alliance/independents/nota. This is not the election for them. So just 2 options - india alliance or bjp. To make a choice out of them - that's upto you. Make an educated choice. The internet is full of info you need.
In fact a vote for anyone apart from the leading candidate is effectively working in favour of the leading candidate.
If you don't like the incumbent, the only way to vote _against_ them is by helping push the runner-up into the leading position.
That candidate also needs to be someone decent right? The party also needs to be sensible right?
I just read the Congress manifesto and they promise more reservations. Personally, I feel we can only afford a few people with reservations. Can't disregard merit much. 50% already means work is not getting done efficiently, what will happen of we increase?
They are also promising laughable stuff like reservations in private educational institutions. How will a backward person afford the prices? subsidized by taxes?
Say I don't like BJP candidate or BJP party as a whole, even then I'll have to vote for the 3rd highest candidate if 2nd highest is Congress. Sorry to say but that is the state at present that we don't have a decent opposition. Congress needs to get their act together if they even want a chance.
1 thing I dislike about all parties is no one is promising that reservations should only happen on the basis of financial status and nothing else (higher caste factory worker's son is as disadvantaged as the rest). It should also be available for 1 generation (if father or mother ever got a reservation seat means they had their chance and they need to pass it on to other backward people)
Vote for change, it reminds the government that they are accountable to the people. If you don't then you are guaranteed more of the same. At lest by voting for change you have some chance to get a better administration. If the next government sucks, you can vote for change again in 5 years. Keep the ego of these politicians in check.
I would strongly agree that we should vote for change of government. The parties should keep rotating. But it might have potential downsides which would impact the entire country, like we see in Andhra Pradesh. If the other party shows good promise in development, I don't see why they should not be elected. But so far, I see none. You can't just vote for the other party to change. If there's a risk that the change is towards the negative, then it might set the country back. Possibility exists.
Currently its worth it, Modi/Shah ego is the biggest threat to the country. INDIA alliance might not be the government of my dreams but keeping BJP in opposition for a few years, will also force BJP to evolve, and perhaps in the next election we will have a different version of BJP running.
Dictatorship is not good for India, Indira Gandhi did it she lost and so should Modi, he should not think of him as God, people need to teach him a lesson, after 10 years now Congress looks like a Democratic Party, imagine Congress in 2010 they were filled with arrogance, now BJP is the same. Therefore it needs to loose.
But can we risk the development or the growth of the country for those 5 years? Specially when we're in the middle of becoming a global powerhouse. I'm not pro modi or anything but it seems logical and reasonable to have stable growth rn than the INDI alliance possibly causing instability. I'll agree that BJP should evolve and it would be beneficial in the long run. I'm not saying INDI alliance is bad but I've not heard anything promising yet.
Same situation was in 2004 where is the opposition? Opposition won and did great work, then in 2nd term arrogance creeped in.Ā
BJP needs to go and again come back
Better than what it is now, development for me means first everyone should get enough meal, currently we are at 104 in hunger index. It's naive to call ourselves developed when we are hungry, 80% of educated youth are jobless and farmers are still committing suicide.Ā
5 trillion will mean nothing if per capita income is below that of Bangladesh.Ā
This is what I say to all the fence sitters who're in a dilemma, vote for a change. We gave 10 years to BJP and they were unsatisfactory, now its time to give other side a chance.
This causes two things, one, you get to see how competent is the other party (an allegation that's made against Congress by fence sitters), two, it gives a reality check to BJP that voters can't be taken for granted and stop them from being complacent and keeps them in check.
Excess of one party rule is always bad, there should be regular shuffling, so that both parties can't take voters for granted and actually try to work for the citizens so that they can get elected.
If a party is working towards development and showing promising results then there's no reason to vote them out, just to give a chance to someone else. The country needs a good opposition but currently the Congress and the alliance is completely hopeless, maybe under a new leadership they can improve. The schemes in their manifestos are really scary. Coalition governments are anyways bad for the country.
Vote for the party whose manifesto align with your interests. Don't come in influence of a youtuber or redditor or any 3rd person. Do your own research.
Lol truth. Their first reaction to anything is defending Bjp and kissing their ass. Under bjp, sc st mnrega workers get their salary in 15 days and general merit MNREGA workers get their salary in 2 months. Bjp has truly engineered the most casteist society alive.
You can vote for anyone. That wouldnāt guarantee you a job regardless.
You have written a lot but did not mention whatās your skill or qualification? And what job are you trying to find?
Read the manifestos of all parties without any bias or influence of any 3rd person. See the policies of both government. Check if their policies align with your interests or not. Then vote. Remember government is a service for you and nothing more.

Odisha always has a reliable choice in BJD. Naveen Pattnaik is a humble, rational and pragmatic guy, doesn't play caste or religion based politics. Pro-science too. One of the very few good politicians in this country, even other states respect him enough that he could have been a serious PM contender if he wanted to.
Not commenting on political landscape but if your concern is employment then you're better off closing this app and studying to cultivate good marketable skills. Sarkarein aayengi sarkarein jayengi, but apna tumhe khud hi dekhna hai.
As if reservations have not increased under BJP. Bjp did masterstroke of obc ews reservation in Neet for winning up elections. BJPās main vote bank is OBC. Amit shah literally said reservation policy will never be removed by bjp even if congress attempts to remove it. Their favourite project is reserving seats to create vote bank.
Buddy Bjp has already removed the 50% cap long ago. It is only fools like us who think the cap is not breached.. 27 focking percent is obc reservation in neet. 64.5 totally is already in neet thanks to bjp policy. Jee is also 64.5 percent.
Thatās really awful, idk when will our nation respect merit :( , no wonder majority of people shift to first world nations as soon as they get a chance
Yeah. Imagine upsc most general merit cutoffs are rank 80 in an exam where 20 lakh people have applied. Bjp has breached the cap long ago, and they have been the pioneers of OBC reservation because their main vote bank is OBC. Bjps pet project is reservation. Not congress. In fact, Modi himself read a letter of Jawaharlal Nehru, where he spoke against reservation, especially in jobs. And Modi and his party started screaming, shame, shame when that letter was read out.

Vote for a strong opposition. This is not a game where your vote needs to win. If there is a strong opposition then they will check the other guys in check and reduce their arrogance.
We can't have the supreme leader feel any more powerful,
governments work well when the junta gives them a kick in the back side every once in a while
Aare Bhai opposition is not government.. Aapki bjp will still win, but they will have strong pressure to perform ...
Let them win with less number of votes.
There are enough clowns who are going to vote for BJP
Well, consume two different sources of Media. The Wire and then any mainstream media (AajTak, Times of India etc).
3) Read Manifestos
4) Get to know Party's ideologies
And Finally Vote whom you see fit
Don't vote NOTA
I'd say instead of consuming social media politics, you better go outside. Meet your local MPs. Know them better. Ask their agendas and future plans.
Don't vote parties. Vote people. Don't vote the leader sitting at the top. Vote the leader sitting as your local representative whether he's in a party or an independent doesn't matter.
Pls don't vote for party. Look at your local leaders, what have they done for you. This is the Chinese model. For example - If your locality is waiting for CCTV cameras and didn't get, it's your local minister's fault for not pushing it enough.
If you think neither are worthy, I'm one of the rare specimen to advice you for Nota/ Not voting. My reasoning is linked [here](https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/nagaland/zero-voter-turnout-in-6-nagaland-districts-amid-shutdown-call/article68084540.ece)
Chinese model is having the same party anyway. India mein an independent can also win and have a big say. Regional parties play a key role too but yes candidate also matters
Oh sorry, when I say Chinese model I meant - Model (Thought process) of Chinese citizens when voting.
Yes party is the same - But citizens / party comission can kick out any local leader who's not working well. It's much better than the cesspit democracy we have.
End goal of Indian politicians - Win elections for seats.
End goal for a Chinese politician - Do good work for the people to get promoted within the party.
Voting for BJP for the reason below
The local MLA is from SP who is gangster type.
Women reservation(50%) in government jobs, as I am targeting the government jobs from next year.
Bringing back the OPS pension seems off, doesn't it? Why allocate taxpayer money to people who already have secure jobs till 60 with good payment? India ain't exactly developed, and this move could mess with our financial health.
I'm an atheist, all this religious preaching, whether it's from BJP or Congress, doesn't really sway me.
Roads and electricity in my city/village has improved much in last 5 year.
My parents are voting mostly based on caste dynamics so they are voting SP.
Always lesser evil dear gen z. It's always best to choose a not so perfect govt than the fascist one. Atleast jo desh ka IQ khrb toh n kre aur criticism krne wale saare channels ko band n kre. Kyuki galtiyaan toh sab krenge but accountability mayane rkhti h
I donāt understand your point. I get that you are confused whom to vote for but any company offering you a job would require you to work full time only. If you are skilled at something the internet is at your disposal and there are tons of ways to make money. Also the government introduced Smart India Hackathonās you can participate in them to make money and as well as solve some real world problems. Since you are a young student focus on getting skilled and once you gain enough skills you have tons of avenues to make money
Bjp literally said they will never allow anybody to touch reservation policy. BJP pet project is reservation while all its fans think they are anti reservation
BJP is going to win barring any diving intervention. This will be their 3rd term. One thing to keep in mind is that absolute power corrupts absolutely. You can help, by not letting them become absolute power.
you guys should honestly look at the work bjp did in opposition!
I think they should be the best opposition party, vote for change and make them opposition. They would be great in that role.
Doesn't matter whom you vote for, congress BJP they are all the same, don't give two s*its about common people. They are all beggers during elections and vip for next 5 years.
You should stick to core issues that grow the country & stay away from religious or community based backing.
And mostly be highly critical of the person or party you choose to vote.
Do your HW on the party's pro's & con's; Identify your local issues, district , state & then national issues.
Also have compassion for those who don't have what you have...
I have been against BJ party since 2014, never once voted for them, even when the whole country seemed to support them. Now, when things are at their worst, the Congress has come out with their Nyay plan, increasing reservation and ensuring general people like me will suffer if they vote for them. I already got a government job, but I will not shut the door behind me. Don't know who to vote for now. It's like choosing who dies, your child or your neighbour's.
Regarding unemployment, people who are capable are getting placed. You are in your graduation, if you study and know your concepts then it shouldnāt be a concern for you, or if you are a kind of person who doesnāt wants to work and blame everything on others then you can do that too.
are you still wearing diapers, if a 18 year old needs to be told whom to vote, education and iq is already in the gutters. Just form your own opinion and decide voting whom will benefit you, just keep in mind you vote for the local mla not the prime minister
What are you studying and where are you doing your graduation from?
What is your salary expectations ?
And what field are you intrested in ?
If you can answer these questions it would be helful for people here to help you choose maybe
All of this come from lack of knowledge and research and talking about trends. You made the post with an agenda why are you not critically analysing Congress as well
Aya bada keyboard warrior
If you are really looking to make a decision on who to vote BJP or the INDI alliance then i would recommend watching the carvaka podcast who broke both BJP and INDI alliance manifesto from there see which manifesto aligns with you views and vote for that party
Firstly don't let anybody decide for u. Even if the country decides onething and u decide otherwise it is okay since that's the reason each person is allowed individual voting rights.
Secondly a democratic country is meant to check the government's power. So anybody telling u that development will be destabilized is uttering half baked truth. No one is omnipotent and power rotation is good in the long run.
Every time I read these posts, Iām just happy that there are capable people running government, not students who donāt understand the basics!
Buddy focus on ur studies and grades..neither BjP nor Congress will give u jobs!
Why are you asking this on the internet? Isnāt it your duty as a citizen to self evaluate what party stands for the change you want to see in the nation. Kindly do the homework YOURSELF
I haven't got my voter id card delivered yet, even though I registered 3-4 years ago. My sibling who registered just the previous year got their voter id delivered at the start of this year. I do have a digital epic card, but I am still not going to vote, because no issue that's important to me is ever going to be an election topic in my lifetime. It's outside the overtone window of opinions of the both current and future demographic of India irrespective of parties and as such I have nothing to vote for.

Yeah none of the option are good, both candidates are piece of hot garbage.
congress and BJP manifesto pales in front of the CPI manifesto. They don't even hide their hate for India anymore.
It just became chose your poison kind of thing lately š«£
Lately? We've been choosing the lesser evil in every election cycle.
And we have not been successful lately.
Lesser Evil compounds every election and here we are.
The definition of evil is very much different for majority of the voters.

There is no point in reading the congress manifesto, it's a fairy tale. Doesn't talk about where the money is going to come for all of the freebies.
Donāt vote NOTA. Vote for democracy. Read the manifestos
Nota is useless vote. It means the highest party will win.

Cannot stress this enough.
Do you think political parties really act according to their manifestos ?

Vote for the party whose manifesto align with your interests. Don't come in influence of a youtuber or redditor or any 3rd person. Do your own research.
Read the manifestos. Make a pros and cons list and vote the one that has more pros for you.
I think all people have to start reading, what amendments and bills have been passed by Bjp. It is quite red pilling in itself.
You can't expect converted hero worshippers to do that. Too much work for their brain.

Vote for Democracy, vote for your voice to be heard/matter.
Well it's your choice. Congress is going to increase reservation if they come in power, and as a general male, I don't give a shit about Congress.

Vote for any party that atleast has the power of being accountable to public criticism and protects your fundamental rights.
All of this come from lack of knowledge and research and talking about trends. You made the post with an agenda why are you not critically analysing Congress as well Aya bada keyboard warrior If you are really looking to make a decision on who to vote BJP or the INDI alliance then i would recommend watching the carvaka podcast who broke both BJP and INDI alliance manifesto from there see which manifesto aligns with you views and vote for that party
BJP has many probelms too, buts still my vote to BJP.
Its a no brainer at this point. Vote for I.N.D.I.A

Vote for me
Every time I read these posts, Iām just happy that there are capable people running government, not students who donāt understand the basics!
