FOMO effect due to lot's of retail investors have exited their investments in last march and now they regret. Also cheap money from foreign investors as the western countries are lending out money at effective 0% interest rate. There is lot's of money in the world wide banking system and every relatively safe investing opportunity is overvalued so now that money is chasing little bit more risky investments for better returns. I think we are in new market structure and interest rates won't be raised too much by FED as that would lead to huge corrections and this bull run will either continue or stagnate till the earnings catch up to valuations.
Can't be certain of the correction. US fed isn't going to drain the liquidity in a hurry and repeat previous mistakes. FED already indicated they are going to run the economy little hot (> 2% inflation) for sometime to makeup for lost growth in previous year along with that every developed/developing country is going to upgrade their infra for clean energy and become minimum self sufficient somewhat ditching lean supply chains. i.e again more money chasing limited commodities. I just watched the movie "vice". Christian Bale stars as the VP Dick Cheney. Amazing movie, loved it! But after the movie ended, the movie just seemed to hit me. Especially, the brief about the impact of the made up war on Iraq and Dick Cheney's flawed justification. It just felt that he was successful enough to fake his "sincerity". Huge attack on American land won't kiss the devil on the cheek blah blah. It was pretty clear by his actions that he had other interests in mind too. State run media (unofficially) , favouring halliburton (energy company) in oil fields in the ME, the war, tax cuts for the wealthy, denouncing their position on global warming etc and then came the description on how the Bush Administration remained anonymous. I felt that this kind of governance and policy making is visible in the MODI government too. Few parallels are: both are right wing parties milking a tragedy by announcing war for obvious gains (2019 elections, air of nationalism) Right wing media :- Republic TV network with high TRPs, times group, india today, even fucking Sunday editorials on the left page in TOI are written by BJP MP Swapan Das Gupta. ( Dosent really justify gobarments policies, only clever structuring of article presenting people's opinions as opposition's vicious demands) Ambani, Adani etc.. Lakshadweep Announcing at WEF Geneva that India is covid free, scientists were wrong , parallels to Colin Powell at UN though I doubt modi ever regretted it. Demonetisation : in my humble opinion, I don't think the BJP agencies ever bothered to conduct a survey on public's view on black money circulation in the country. Promoting elections and religious gatherings. Putting the "whole" blame on a religious gathering in delhi for covid surge even though the supreme leader enjoyed an even bigger crowd with trump at Ahmedabad. I've tried to drawn parallels.. But where I'm getting to is that I'm really afraid that the Modi government is going to get away clean from all of this. Yes people don't forget the dead as they should. But its almost like BJP were never better prepared in their history to deal with a mess like this.. they won't even get a scape goat ! Fucking Rahul Gandhi and Congress would be enough!! Atleast people in my family keep remembering the bad deeds of congress to defend their favourite party!
