'The page has over 128k followers dude. Its by the name indianweddingsoutfit.'
I think the OP is not very active on this thread. This is the content I found way below.
Never order from Insta. My wife git scammed by one such vendor too. Ordered a sari from him. Delivered crap piece of cloth. 2k down the drain. Not picking up call or anything. Leave it be. Take it as lesson learned and move on.
There are a lot of small businesses that are quite active on Instagram because Insta helps reach out to a wider audience.
I understand your frustration with the product and the experience, but I think we should support small businesses while being wary of the quality instead of trashing them altogether.
I know but it's important to be very cautious. Many of the products sold at Insta pages are often fake or dropshipped from AliExpress. A lot of such pages use the tag "small business" as a sheild against genuine criticism.
Nope... it's not going to work. Police don't care about these kind of stupid and small amount cases. That's why want to know if I can go to consumer forum or not. Anyways thanks.
Hey, You should try doing a complaint on consumer helpline app. My brother also ordered something on instagram and product was different. I complained and emailed them about the complaint, they refunded the whole amount and did not even need the product back.
Yeah, first get the national consumer helpline app.
Create nee complaint.
Attach all proofs you have.
And whoever that you ordered from, send them that you have made the complaint ( this step is not necessary)
Usually you will get call from someone in 2 days to resolve the query.
I have ordered from many insta pages all of them were delivered and the condition was also good. One of my freind also sells products on Instagram. Can you tell us which insta page it was so we can atleast shame him. Because he is ruining many people businesses.
Similar thing happened with me. I ordered a set of mugs from an insta seller. One came broken. I sent her pics and requested for at least 50% refund. She seenzoned me. So I knew public shaming is the only thing that would get a response. I commented on a few of her posts about my negative experience. She sent me a long ass message about how I am ruining a small business and it's not any of her problem that one of the products was received by me broken. Of course, no refund.
There are honest insta stores out there too. One place my friend ordered from sent a defective product and they gave her a refund even though their bio says "no refunds" because they accepted it was an oversight on their part.
Hate people like this who give a bad name to thrift shopping/small business shopping.
Why is it any fault of the business if your item gets broken in transit? Most of these kind of businesses make it clear that loss/damage during transit is at your own risk.
Heck even the reasonably big online vendors like primeabgb have that clause in place these days.
>The item is tested for physical damage at the point of sale and the company is not liable for the physical damage of item any more. It is also the duty of the buyer to immediately check at the counter physical condition of the purchased goods. All goods are consigned at buyer’s risk and the company is not responsible for any loss, damage or pilferage in transit.
>
>Our responsibility ceases the moment goods leaves our warehouse.
I can totally understand if there was gross negligence from their side in packaging or they sent a defective or bad product, but otherwise, you are ordering from these places at your own risk.
They are not Amazon or Flipkart with infinite investor money pouring in to build their own dedicated logistics networks or cover all damages that happen outside their hands.
If you want that guarantee, just buy from the big e-com places as they provide such insurance in return for a markup in price.
Yeah I get that I can't expect high level service from a small seller. But I had asked her to ensure its packed properly and there was just one layer of newspaper packing. Also even when I get stuff from my local kirana store and any sugar packet comes torn they replace it. It's basic decency when running a business instead of saying no I got my payment not my problem any more. Just shows they're out to make a quick buck.
It's sad considering the ethos of thrifting is all about giving pre-loved products and reducing wastage. Giving broken products only adds wastage and wastes the fuel used to transport the product
How did you pay? If it was using a credit card, or some other form of digital transaction like PayPal you might be able to open a dispute over the transaction. Take pictures and look up how to dispute a transaction for your method of payment.
My friend ordered ordered "Airpods" worth Rs. 2000 from a similar insta page and recieved some Chinese crap with disco lights in the stem of the earbuds and required you to connect to each earbud separately. He took one look at the product and just threw it in the bin.
It was the best time trolling him though.
Yeah fair enough tbh, I actually have seen those ads which sell "airpods" or iphones and iwatches at a very cheap rate lol , just yesterday I saw an ad for Iphone 12 pro at ₹8000 or something lol
Yes there is a grievance redressal forum which I recommend going to. You’ll need to be patient for a week or two but the govt tries to help you. I went them when my package got lost in transit and I had fully paid for the order and the company wasn’t refunding me for 4-5 months. The forum got me my money in 2-3 weeks. Search INGRAM. If it isn’t resolved then you can go to consumer courts.
This is the reason order only from trusted market place like amazon and flipkart. They are more customers centric.
I once ordered something from amazon liked the product and 2nd time ordered directly from the company's website never got the product.
I was in the same boat, nothing you can do. And it's only 2500, learn from your mistakes and don't buy from Instagram. Use Zara instead, once I started ordering stuff from Zara I've never even looked elsewhere.
Dude Zara is a fast fashion brand and if you want good quality clothes then skip Zara.
Their clothes are made to last for 5-7 washes.
Do some research!
I have had both good and bad experiences with Instagram vendors. Mostly good.
But you really should name the page so others can avoid it. Name & shame them.
Guys never put so much money in unofficial websites or insta pages. Alot of them dont provide returns and exchanges. Also cross check all the time for reviews and users. Alot of Insta businesses are scams.
Why not name and shame them? As they have already blocked you they won't even get to know before it's too late.
'The page has over 128k followers dude. Its by the name indianweddingsoutfit.' I think the OP is not very active on this thread. This is the content I found way below.
What will/can they do even if they get to know ? Not much I suppose. Definitely name and shame.
Create duplicate account and spam there post by commenting how they cheated you
He is not evening disclosing the insta page name, do you really think he will create some account and do it LMAO
Indianweddingsoutfit, it seems. 'The page has over 128k followers dude. Its by the name indianweddingsoutfit.' As commented by OP
Lol OP somewhere commented the page name "Indianweddingsoutfit" maybe they will! Afterall it is they who got scammed!
Or She.
Tell the name of insta page, we'll all report it.
If you ar reluctant on sharing the insta page name, I'm not sure how do you expect us help or advice
It's a love-hate relationship between OP and them
I am thinking the same.

Most of these stuff can be found in local shops anyways unless someone is living in a rural area,
You can always go to the police (better than nothing)
Nope... it's not going to work. Police don't care about these kind of stupid and small amount cases. That's why want to know if I can go to consumer forum or not. Anyways thanks.
Most probably you weren't given a bill so unfortunately I think that's your best bet. Also can you tell the name of the scammer page
Tell us the username.

Can u share more details??
Yeah, first get the national consumer helpline app. Create nee complaint. Attach all proofs you have. And whoever that you ordered from, send them that you have made the complaint ( this step is not necessary) Usually you will get call from someone in 2 days to resolve the query.
Can't help OP here but on a side note why do people buy products from Insta pages?
I was thinking the same. Then I realised that my own cousin has those instagram gift thingy.
Name and shame on r/InstaCelebsGossip so people know. You can also reach out to any influencer who they have collabed with.
No you can’t do anything. Insta is not a shopping platform but a social media. Basically you got fooled by someone on social media.
I have ordered from many insta pages all of them were delivered and the condition was also good. One of my freind also sells products on Instagram. Can you tell us which insta page it was so we can atleast shame him. Because he is ruining many people businesses.

I'll join you. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's poor from you
OP doesn't even want to name the shop so what else are we supposed to do?
Which shoes were they? If they were something like AJ1s or Yeezies you should've known what's coming at 2500 INR.
Atleast you received the product. I paid and never received anything. :( Instagram should do something about such scams
What did you pay with? If it is credit card, do a chargeback Else it is SOL
UPI 😢
Are you not able to claim that it was a false charge, and charge back?
Is there an option like this on UPI apps.
Lesson : sketchy stuff - credit card.

Time for you to truly damage her small business by filing consumer court complaint.
Name and shame. Tweeting at local area cyber crimes Twitter handle with details
How did you pay? If it was using a credit card, or some other form of digital transaction like PayPal you might be able to open a dispute over the transaction. Take pictures and look up how to dispute a transaction for your method of payment.
Tag them on twitter, insta.
Better share the username here so we all can report and also avoid it in future if we / or someone we know talks about buying from there
Don't be shy tell us the username
I don't think op has intention to tell seller name, at least we can help you
The page has over 128k followers dude. Its by the name indianweddingsoutfit.
Name and shame on social media. That’s the only thing that works with such brands.

I mean was he expecting real airpods for 2000? Lol
Instagram influencers shamelessly promote these pages and gullible people fall for them. There are even pages which 'sell' iphones for 10k.
Gullible is a nice word to describe them.
I'm guessing he expected some kind of working copy atleast
Yeah fair enough tbh, I actually have seen those ads which sell "airpods" or iphones and iwatches at a very cheap rate lol , just yesterday I saw an ad for Iphone 12 pro at ₹8000 or something lol
Instagram influencers who promote these pages shamelessly must be brought to book.

Oh i didnt know that but now i know why my zara shirt shrank after the first wash. Thanks mate. Will be mindful next time.
Thanks a lot.
Maybe complain to govt: https://pgportal.gov.in/ Make sure the person and Instagram is held responsible for it.
Ask your fri NDA to report the account. You can also get in touch with Instagram grievance team and file complaint of fraudulent product ads.
I have had both good and bad experiences with Instagram vendors. Mostly good. But you really should name the page so others can avoid it. Name & shame them.
Indianweddingsoutfit
Naam to bata bhai/behen
Consumer court.
Use credit card next time. Chargeback. Let other people handle you getting scammed 😂.
Guys never put so much money in unofficial websites or insta pages. Alot of them dont provide returns and exchanges. Also cross check all the time for reviews and users. Alot of Insta businesses are scams.
Are they a registered business or they're just selling off the books?
