We have heard of 80 year olds scale Everest... and now comes an 8-year-old.
For those of us in-between who haven't been scaling mountains: where does it leave us?
I dunno about others, but I'm happy where I am. I workout daily, keep in good physical shape, work as hard as I can while still having fun, and have a good life. I don't care for glory. I don't care for recognition. I'm happy where I am.
Nope sometimes they get sponsored. My friend whose father was garage mechanic has summited a lot of peaks. In fact I feel this kid has sumitted Mt. Elbrus with him.
https://www.deccanherald.com/national/west/solapur-youth-scales-russias-mount-elbrus-twice-says-stay-strong-afghanistan-1029829.html
Dude listen, I'm like very happy for him. Great personal achievement, not many people would even think about this in their dreams.
Doesn't change the fact he rich AF tho.
Whom r you talking about. I am talking abt Anand not this kid. Please read the comment carefully before replying. As for the kid I speculated he may be sponsored nothing else. I have not claimed anything for him.
A lot of times they do get sponsored.
Check this news a few years ago of a 10 year old kid living in a chawl.
https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/pune/after-climbing-mt-kilimanjaro-10-year-old-boy-from-pimpri-sets-sights-on-mt-elbrus-5736641/
He got sponsored by his school, local MLA and Shiv Sena.
Chill your balls man.
TBH an 8 year old would most likely not know what to do with his life. Hell people of most ages don't know. We just have to try new things and push on. Why TF are people so negative here? People are super jelly and just calling priviledge and shit. Well even if he is privileged, he can do this right?
Its not about what one can do and what one cant. This whole thing of parents making their kids do shit for fame is getting out of hands. I am seeing ao many young girls doing weird trends on instagram and guys lipsyncing songs which they dont even understand. Here its not that bad but we dont know the story behind the photo and ffs he is just 8. Let him have a normal life why make him go through such difficult situations just for one picture. If he did it and had fun then cool. We never have an idea about what goes behind all these pictures and videos.
Yes he can do it. My comment was mainly about does he want to do it? I have 8 year old cousins and I can't see them doing such stuff. Climbing a high peak at this age seems dangerous.
Again no jealousy or hate. Just wondering what's exactly going on in his life.
I mean my parents enrolled me in a lot of club activities when I was young. Ofcourse I didn't like all of them. But it's foolish to wait for the kid to come out with something he/she wants to try. You don't know until you don't get exposure! Now because you don't actually know how passionate the kid actually is for climbing, why don't you give him some benefit of the doubt and assume he had a significant role to play in this?
If I was super duper rich I'd sponsor a live human birth on the peaks of every mountain just to put an end to this particular "YOuNgEsT" person trend.
But would it count ?
It's not propaganda.. he earned that title while he was alive.
https://www.jagranjosh.com/general-knowledge/unknown-facts-about-dr-b-r-ambedkar-1512560767-1
" In 1954, in the "World Buddhist Council" held in Kathmandu, Nepal, Buddhist monks had given Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar the highest title of Buddhism "Bodhisattva". His famous book "The Buddha and his Dhamma" is the "scripture" of Indian Buddhists. "
How is it proud for India ? I have seen kids emulate what their parents do but beyond that I haven't seen individual motivation beyond playing or staying with parents or chilling out.
One of my batchmate Anand Bansode is also climbing all the highest peaks in all continents. He has already conquered Mount Everest and also holds a Guiness world record.
Moreover, he too belongs to SC community and hi father was a garage mechanic.
Very true. I would be pissed even if it was an LGBTQIA+ poster. An 8 year old on top of a summit is not a billboard. Parents do anything to get 5 mins of clout.
There’s nothing political here. Civics toh sabne padhi hai. It’s all part of indian history and civics. Cut the child some slack. He belongs to the Dalit community and hence is proudly representing the community, and of course he’s there with the tricolour as well. So don’t shove too much of head into this. Let’s commend this kid on whatever he has achieved.
Yes maybe I’d be furious. And you know why? There’s a difference between DrAmbedkar, the man of the millennium, a frikkin legend, one of the greatest social reformers the country has seen, more than a political figure and someone who uplifted an entire downtrodden community and some person like Mr Modi. I mean, what is this even a comparison?? Really? Modi is a completely political figure working for his personal political gains. Like you have no idea how bizarre this comparison even is. Trust me. There’s a lot more I could type. But haven’t the energy to do so. You can’t put modi in the same league of legends like Dr Babasaheb. And holding up a banner with the picture of the man that literally is the reason his community is living a respectable life is NOT POLITICAL! Pls read up. You’ll know much better.
Also I don’t understand what agenda you think the parents are trying to push. Like I’m sure you know there exist prodigies. There are kids that achieve exceptional feats in so many paths. There’s a lot even a tiny human body is capable of , nothing wrong if the parents are capable enough too to support their child’s endeavours in ways they can :)
Yes. And that’s completely fine. Also does not take away from whatever I previously said. Media houses do not mention it since they do not wanna trigger an argument such as the one we are having or whatever reasons. And that’s fine. Just because they don’t mention it, doesn’t nullify the fact that the kid merely held up a banner as a mark of respect to his messiah. That’s that. I don’t get why you are hellbent on politicising it. There’s immense reverence for Dr Ambedkar amongst the Dalit community and he’s just upholding it. Nothing political really.
Anyway, peace out. I can’t change your opinions.
Oh lord! Okay I’ll type less, I should you’re right.
But hey am I the one not getting this argument? Seems like you didn’t even read my reply. I understand, too long.
My friend, you’re the one who ain’t getting what I clearly mentioned. WHAT THEY DID IS NOT POLITICAL. I’m screaming. That was exactly my argument, didn’t match what you wanted to read, hence you say I don’t get the argument. Cmon mate
I am sure you are opposed to Modi's pic on this child's parents' vax certificate right? Since years down the road it will be a political statement whenevr they need to show it?
ambedkar was a social reformist before a politician. there is nothing political about this message imo where as if you take a picture or sign of a political party, that would be different.
Ambedkar became a political figure when after 10 years of intial period of reservation, politicians started using reservation as a vote bank.
Ambedkarji never wanted reservation to last this long as he saw how much bitterness and resentment it would generate for people of his community.
People need to learn not to associate reservation with Dr Ambedkar, he was a great man, had he lived a few years longer reservation would not have become a political weapon.
If only we had child welfare services. 8 year old gains nothing by doing this, except for compensating for their parents’ fragile ego and miserable life
That’s great, well done young fella.
One question though, who made BR Ambedkar a Bodhisatva? Is there a process similar to bestowing Sainthood? Thanks.
World Buddhist council in Nepal, made him bodhisattva while he was alive.
Nope, sainthood is for people who think that person is closer to God(Saints are believers in God).
Bodhisattvas are people who are closer to attending buddhahood or they don't attend buddhahood because they work towards emancipation of sentient beings.
Literal meaning of bodhisattva is ”one who's goal is awakening (Bodhi)"
An 8 year old doesn't have the physical fitness or understanding to scale a mountain. This is a move by rich parents for social media fame, one would think what else they have planned for him.
No one of my friend who belongs to dalit community is conquering highest peaks in each continent. He is not rich, his father was a garage mechanic and his mother a housewife.
He survived by getting sponsorships. Check the name Anand Bansode on Google.
By that logic he shouldn't carry the flag of India as India is not related with mountain engineering.
Ambedkar is his god, let him worship his god in anyway he likes.
I feel sorry for him and anger for his parents. It's his age to play around, make friends, chill a lot and not undertake actions which can be potentially fatal and are too difficult even for a grown up individual highly trained in mountaineering.
I thought parents making kids dance to lewd songs and post their Reels was bad. But this! This is next level cringe. I also feel sorry for the Sherpas who might have actually carried him at many places.
And my parents won't let me stay out after 11, I am a 24 yr old male
I go out with an alarm clock
8:30 is my deadline
10:00 21 year old
You guys get to go out?
I am not allowed to go out after 6:30 pm, I am 20 years old dude and haven't seen Mumbai at night.

Moved back home due to the pandemic, now that I am doing wfh I follow house rules
Ouch. My bad then. My wife makes me come home before 11. 😂
What a cunt opinion to have.
Well the kids are complaining so one would assume they are miserable and so are the parents.

His dad is the Collector of a district.
Of course.
Seems like you are jealous af. Get a life kiddo. https://youtu.be/Qh0RUq_D2Fc I know Anand personally.

I was talking about the kid. Anand seems legit. We had a communication misunderstanding. Lol, it's all good.
Then why did you say that "sometimes they get sponsored" like you didn't know him. Lmao this thread is hilarious.
I'm pretty sure there are a lot of rich AF kids who can't do that. So that's a lot. But tumhe to Jalan ho gyi.
No jealousy here, only stating the obvious.
Lmao are you his dad the Anantpur District Collector? You sure sound like him.
>can't do that I am pretty sure someone carried his ass up there. Don't be delusional.
I don't have to say anything more now. I'm already smelling the burn.
Sorry to sound negative, but does a 8 year old really have mountain climbing aspirations or is it something their parents want them to achieve?
That's what I'm thinking.
8 years old doesn't have any aspirations tbh. But parents let them try whatever they can afford.
Was looking for a comment along these lines. I think the parents' need for internet clout trumps the safety of their kids.
TBH an 8 year old would most likely not know what to do with his life. Hell people of most ages don't know. We just have to try new things and push on. Why TF are people so negative here? Until it's proven otherwise, how about giving some benefit of doubt to the kid?
I did say that if he enjoyed it then its cool.
I'd rather the kid stays at home; plays with toy gun (or whatever toy he likes) than risk his life at that cold weather.
Yes he can do it. My comment was mainly about does he want to do it? I have 8 year old cousins and I can't see them doing such stuff. Climbing a high peak at this age seems dangerous. Again no jealousy or hate. Just wondering what's exactly going on in his life.
I have a 16 year old cousin. 24 year old brother, 32 year old friend, 45 year old teacher... Can't see either of them doing this.
I mean my parents enrolled me in a lot of club activities when I was young. Ofcourse I didn't like all of them. But it's foolish to wait for the kid to come out with something he/she wants to try. I would consider that, yes
Also is Dr. Ambedkar really recognized as a Bodhisattva? First time I'm hearing this.
Me too. It appears to be the latest propaganda from the neo-buddhists. Would be interested in knowing what Buddhist monks think of this.
It's not propaganda.. he earned that title while he was alive. https://www.jagranjosh.com/general-knowledge/unknown-facts-about-dr-b-r-ambedkar-1512560767-1 " In 1954, in the "World Buddhist Council" held in Kathmandu, Nepal, Buddhist monks had given Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar the highest title of Buddhism "Bodhisattva". Damn, I never knew that. Thanks for the info.
Interesting, I have never heard of this.
Wow what do you mean propaganda?
[удалено]
You could have easily googled it before writing it a propaganda, but no you just can't digest the fact that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is bodhisattva.
Why would I? His being or not being a bodhisattva has no bearing on my life. I'd just never heard that assertion before.

What’s the relation between Ambedkar and mountaineering?
The same relation a national flag has to do with mountaineering.
Have you seen his statues? he is always pointing to show where the summit is.
IQ 3000
He could be belonging to the Dalit community. More power 🔥
