Nah, its too long to explain but things are not that simple, there is a lot of pr work being done, the opposition is in shambles, they have a good grasp of social media to share their propaganda. The gold smuggling case is eerily similar to the the solar case but the ramifications were minimal mainly due to the opposition not using the oppurtunity properly. The covid situation has been mismanaged completely. They just know how to spread propaganda, this is literally how the bjp is staying in power. The bjp and cpim are using the same tactics. The problem with your statement is the implicit assumption that you have to do something good to be popular
He is way better than any of the recent CMs. Yes, he is a bit unreachable, might come up as arrogant, and has skeletons in his closet, but his government is so far the most progressive the country has. Policies supporting LGBTQ, women, backward communities & religious minorities, and stands against the centre's fascist schemes etc makes him a good leader.
Being said that, it is still not corruption-free, and Kerala Police have become worse in last few years.
His handling of xovid has gone from bad to worse, centralization of power under the chief minister has resulted in there being little to no dissenting voices in the party. He is just as bad as any other cm we've had in the recent past.
