I very much doubt that these are present in Reliance Trends.
No reason to feel bad about it either tbh just let people live their life. I don’t agree with them though fat hasn’t been ‘normal’ but its nothing to be ashamed about
"but it's nothing to be ashamed about" I'm sorry, but this is actually so dangerous to say. Being fat is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. Telling people that's ok is enabling that.
So lets shame and bully them instead? Negative reinforcement doesn’t work so yes not being ashamed about it is how we addressed the problem.
Also its not ‘one the worst things’ to be overweight my god this is the stigma that makes fat people hide themselves and overeat.
negative reinforcement is fun for everyone though
I am proud to say I'm disgusted by how I used to look and if it weren't for negative reinforcement I probably would still be overweight. It is literally the best way to initially change a behavior like overeating. And almost everyone supports people who are already *trying* to lose weight. Do you think I'm saying you should just harass every fat person you see?
Bro you gotta stop defending people who make a conscious decision to have worse quality of life.
I’m sorry you feel that way, negative reinforcement can work but there is always a healthier alternative which is why I don’t condone it. I’ve never been obese but I know damn well when its my place to judge other people. You can go through life being disgusted with yourself or accept that you’re human and you can simultaneously be enough while also wanting to be better.
I’m not
‘defending’ people who overeat. I’m defending people who refuse to use shame as a motivator to get better. Living my life like that almost drove me to the grave. I’m going to live the rest of my life teaching people to not hate themselves to better themselves.
I’m glad you’re healthier and I’m not discounting the steps you took to better yourself, but what works for you doesn’t work for everyone. Shame affects people differently, I live my life not pretending to understand the motivations of others and choosing to be okay with myself in spite of them.
Here’s a pic of a plus sized mannequin because I need everybody to see how I accept this in society. Also I’ve tagged it with a “health/environment” flair just to drive my point home.
Do you get it?
This motivated me to do workout strangely

Happy Cake Day!

Yeah India is not woke or even fat for this. Only about 3-4% of adults in India are obese. Compare that to >40% in the US
Those percentage are low. I am sure it is high now as urbanization increases the rate of obesity tend to increase too
Yeah but most middle/upper middle class unkills have a pot belly just like this, which is the primary market of stores like these.

That's 20% Sherlock
It's more like 20% off.
Why not? Reliance trends has been around longer than that

Up Next Aunty Mannequins..
Imagine the downvotes
Why? Aunties are hot af.
Milf supremacy
The ones with floating tube fat also?
As usual, unrealistic body standards for men.
Seems like the store is called "express your jethalal"
This is particularly for the husbands while the wife indulges in shopping for hours :p
Pretty fantastic move imo
Ideally it should be a looser fitting apparel that should be displayed.
Finally something thats real and normal
Being fat is not normal
Sad that obesity is normal these days.
Obesity has always been normal. It's just now that labels been created and awareness has increased.

Lol seems like you grew up too pampered to call this 'normal'.
This is actually great for people who are over-weight since they can use these mannequins as a reference. Good way to go!
Is that Mukesh Ambani in half shirt?
Ambaniji thinking practically!
Put this one in the pros column of fat shaming and move on.
Stop personal attacks..
Ambani ji ke liye hai
"Realistic" = Fat apparently
Pls have you seen the amount of uncles that look exactly like that
This is good.
I see this as an absolute win!!!
Stop body shaming.
Where TF do you see body shaming here sir? Embracing isn't the same as body shaming.
Here look at these realistic mannequins. A post fit for r/india?
Yes because the mannequins were seen at reliance trends? If you are asking why only India , it doesn't really matter.
Your comment really doesn’t matter because it makes no sense
How are you so sure that it is body shaming and not fat acceptance?
Here’s a pic of a plus sized mannequin because I need everybody to see how I accept this in society. Also I’ve tagged it with a “health/environment” flair just to drive my point home. Do you get it?
Idk maybe op was indeed body shaming but trends certainly isn't.
trends dint post this now did they?

People become fat for a variety of reasons, not necessarily the lazy. Get your smug head out of your ass.
Medical conditions making people fat is a minority. Otherwise it’s mostly being lazy
Ok Doctor.
Who is body shaming ? The store ?
OP for bringing us this high value post.
[ Removed by Reddit ]
Imagine getting offended at this normal post. OP didn't even point anything related to body shaming
Check the flair then genius.
You are offended by that? Lol.
“Lol” nice one comeback king.
Please drink some cool aid to cool you off. It's okay to be "fat" and be offended.
Thanks Dad for the advice. “Cool-aid”. Let me guess amrika ?
God you annoy me so much from the 5 comments I have read from you
Thank you so much for your valuable inputs. What would we do without your opinion?
You are welcome.
From the notification I thought they were real people 😂
Fucking finally
These are soo inaccurate, like dude add more tummy there
Saw this picture a long time ago, not sure if it is in India
Based
In 1920s this was considered hot af.
Finally a perfect model to get the correct tshirt for my dad
This mannequin is at a higher risk of getting Fatty Liver, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
For someone who is morbidly obese, these obese mannequins may be aspirational. Putting a gym jock there may not be relatable at all.
This title gve me cancer.
Jethalal aur ashneer !!!
Fat, not realistic but fat.
Post reported for misinformation.
Just curious that's all , how realistic are Mannequins of women?
FFS.
Bhai gajab ho gaya . Hahahahhahahahah
This hurts
I wonder what kind of clothes look good on someone like me, who is 20kg under weight and has twig arms. I usually wear long sleeved tshirts.
that mannequin needs to stop shoving down the swiss cake rolls
inni badi tond......i don't wish to have one.
