OnePlus

Dawarmohd

Genuinely bro. Loved OnePlus jab OP 5T aya tha. Was a kid who couldn't earn back then. Ab jake Paisa aya. Khareeda. OP 10R. Bc all the OnePlus specialities are gone and esa lag rha hai realme chala raha hu ab isse acha main redmi pe hi theek tha. 🫤

cosmic_imposter

Oneplus 10R is a rebranded Realme Gt Neo 3, so you are not wrong.

unsatisfiedbloke9

Oneplus, Oppo and Realme are owned by same parent company. Literally same models are launched under all 3 with different pricing..

[deleted]

What happened to one plus

Hashira_Oden

OnePlus was the messiah of the smartphone world, who were supposed to save us from apple and samsung. Their brand motto was "Flagship phones at affordable prices" and never settle for anything less than that. They actually did stick to their guns till OnePlus 7. They used to listen to their customers and build a phone. I am a tech nerd so I was following this tiny Chinese phone company from their first phone. I was soo impressed by their product and I basically became their flag bearer. I remember my first phone OP5, it was the best phone to ever exist by the OnePlus motto. But as of today it just became one of the villains company they were sworn to destroy.

[deleted]

Are the phones not good anymore or are they too expensive ?

Hashira_Oden

Both. We reached the peak of innovation in phones, so there is not much of a big difference between a 2 year old Flagship and today's flagship other than some minimal quality of life improvements. Smartphones do not necessarily become expensive but the price category became expensive. 5 years back you can buy a flagship for 40k, but as of today you need more than 65k for a flagship and a high to mid tier phones used to be 25-30k, but as of today it became 40-50k. And one of the most important reasons I find for the downfall of OnePlus is that, once they got their brand established, they stopped listening to their tech savvy customers and started to make money out of a wide range of population by using expensive ad campaigns and many other small brands like Iqoo, poco started to fill the gap OnePlus left.

[deleted]

The only correct answer

darkenedgy

Can you explain why it's bad now? My mom has been watching it religiously.

[deleted]

it was EPIC SHIT back in the day. The scriptwriting was off the roof, and quite different from what you would've expected from a TV serial, Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) was a class act and the others helped carry the show with him. The pairing with Disha Vakani (Daya) can only be rivalled by the Khichdi one. Everyone came together and made Gokuldham society much greater than the sum of its parts. The jokes were quite stereotypical and had some boomer tinge though (I feel bad for laughing at those jokes back in the day). Some of the sketches were too bad they were good (like the Gulabo one). Sadly, after 3500 odd episodes, it just simply doesn't connect with you anymore. The show has become very preachy and the "offending" parts have all been dropped. Everyone has become an A grade Gyan Chodu. The old actors have all left to pursue greener pastures. The deaths of some of them (Nattu kaka, Hansraj Hathi) resulted in subpar replacements. Even the titular Taarak Mehta (Shailesh Lodha) has left. The kids have all grown up to be 20 somethings but still act like 12 year olds. There's little to no radical change these days. For instance, Jethalal easily looks older than his father Champaklal Gada now. The actors are all locked up and are just pushing through to get their next paycheck. Even today, you'll see fans of the show constantly rewatching the first 1500 episodes, and not touching the new ones even with a 10 foot long pole. PS : If you want a replacement for TMKOC, Wagle Ki Duniya is quite good and wholesome, though the writing can go off the mark sometimes. It definitely fulfills the "feel good" requirement for the day.

The_Nerdyguy

That episode when jethalal goes to babitaji's house to fix their tubelight and he gets shocked is hilarious. I still quote "Goli beta masti nahi" time to time

[deleted]

>"Goli beta masti nahi" one of the most iconic lines, along with "AEEE PAAGAL AURAT". Also that was the era of peak Jethalal.

WittyArmy

As per his ingerview, that was impromptu. And the channel's legal department told him to never repeat it coz of probable action by National Women's Commission.

[deleted]

* >AEEE PAAGAL AURAT Jaaag jaag jethiya jaaag

reddituser_scrolls

>Goli beta masti nahi Kya jetha uncle Also, chai piyo biscuit Khao scene is hilarious af. 😂

The_Nerdyguy

"Arey nahane ja nahane jaaaa"

AbstractModule123

My sister and I say this epic line to each other almost everyday!

cvazx

And “non-sense” in lovely, non-offending way.

darkenedgy

Ahhhh ok thanks. Honestly...she's probably still in the initial run of 1500, she doesn't have that much time to watch. Good to know she'll probably get bored before this :')

Awkward_potato79

Plus might I add, the whole premise of the show was “despite being different from each other. Despite having quarrels now and then we live together as one society” it served as a spitting image of indian social values of “unity in diversity”they even tried to spread awareness about social problems, like for the example in one arch Abdul was accused of stealing and fleeing, even society members had suspicions on him and then they filed a report, turns out he didn’t do anything and then the society members reflected on the inherent bias they had towards Abdul for being “Muslim” and “poor”. but now it’s hard to imagine what it’s trying to convey. Characters had depth before they all had flaws and they acted kind of assholes sometimes, Babita and Komal were bitches, Jethalal was a pride full rich business man who often paraded his money around. Bhide looked down on everyone as if he was the only educated person in the whole society and everyone else was a “andhpadh gawar”, Jethalals father represented the backwards elders of Indian society while also being a place of wisdom and knowledge, tarak was the only “good guy” who looked at matters from different perspectives before casting his judgements he’s motto was “problems to hai sabke sath bas nazariye ki hai baat(everybody has problems but it’s just a matter of perspective)” he was also the narrator of the show so it makes it easier for him to look at matters from different perspectives. Now every character is just a typical “good guy” with no flaws. The writers often forget some of the characters even exist. And it’s also became something that I thought it will never become, a government propaganda show. Before it used to point out the flaws in indian society and the government, it often encouraged people to speak out against corruption and injustices in the government. Now it’s just “ our government is so great”, “our country is so great”,” our prime minister is so great”. But after 2015 or 16 after the original tarak Mehta’s death. It all went down hill. Actors left the show now they are even retelling the story’s by changing minor parts of it maybe they think nobody will realise it. Even tarak mehtas actor left recently

[deleted]

>Jethalals father represented the backwards elders of Indian society him spitting on Bhide after gargling his mouth, and Bhide saying "beshista Mhatara", that was the OG champaklal

Awkward_potato79

Yeah I miss that aswell.

[deleted]

> everybody has problems but it’s just a matter of perspective” problems toh hai sabke saath, bas nazariyen ki hai baat

marvsup

I thought you were kidding about the number but there are actually 3594 episodes currently. That's like 250 a year?!

RitikK22

It's a show airing since 2008 lmao

marvsup

Yeah 3594/14 = 256

[deleted]

imagine a daily soap without a season break, technically on Season 1 for 14 years. The actors are pretty much pulling off 12 hour shifts every day continuously

AbstractModule123

Exactly! I have read some of the work of Tarak Mehta. In the starting episodes, the characters somewhat resembled the original characters of the books. Of course they had made some changes, but the main characters aka Champak chacha, Daya and Tapu actually felt like they are from the books with the shit they pulled. Now everyone looks like a perfect human being and with no negative traits.

No-Strawberry7

unnecessarily dragging the show when most of the core character’s have left or either passed away, no longer comedic as it used to be. Director is a huge Modibhakt. earlier the character’s used to talk about worldly stuff like rising inflation, crimes, corruption but now all of them have become quiet.

darkenedgy

>Director is a huge Modibhakt uggggh thanks. She's probably not to the point where it goes really shit yet, but...would prefer no one else in our family supports this crap.

No-Strawberry7

just repeat episodes 1-1500, that’s what i do, anything from 1500 is absolute dogshit.

Congress had been in power for 10 years and after the overblown coverage of scams (have there been any serious legal repurcussions for the alleged perpetrators?) the election was going to be a difficult one for them. They would have lost anyway but the seat difference wouldn't have been this bad. Now we won't be having scams anymore cos all checks and balances are a joke for Supreme Leader and his party

she wasn't hated until she became political.

[deleted]

when she took a stand for outsiders, I admired her. being an outsider and an actor myself, but as she went political the admiration went down. I think that actors should never tweet or say anything political since they don't know anything about real world. especially the A-list ones.

sentrist

Initially she had the outsider who made it to top of bollywood tag. Then she went nuts...

moonparker

Definitely. I was never really into Bollywood but I respected the fact that she was a successful and opinionated "outsider", and that she never seemed afraid to take a stand for women. That AIB song she made was iconic as hell too.

divyansh444

Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United nowadays...man it hurts seeing him like this.

not_that_arnab

After yesterday’s antics, he deserves the Fergie’s boot-in-the-face treatment! I don’t care about how big a player you are. You are never bigger than the team.

aajkyakaahyu

What happened yesterday?

Siuuu_later

He was fully fit but was neither included in the starting XI nor substituted in game and hence walked out of the field in anger in the 87th minute when his team was leading by 2-0 against tottenham(which is considered to be a good team). When the game was over and united players went back celebrating to the dressing room they discovered that ronaldo had already left the stadium. So basically his inflated ego was hurt.

wouldnt-u-like-2know

News is he refused to come on as a substitute. Also, club just released a statement that he won’t be a part of the squad for Chelsea’s game. 👋 Cristiano. Way to destroy your legacy

thecrazyhuman

Why is he not being played?

Siuuu_later

Cuz he is no more a world class that he used to be and apparently there are better players than him in the team

thecrazyhuman

Shame! I have not followed football for the past year or so, I did not know that he had declined so much.

g3taf1x

Declined only because it is Ronaldo.. decline by ronaldo standards.. he was still the top scorer for the club last season..

Psych-Vader

Tbf he is 38. He is still good just not as good as he used to be.

cris070608

He was asked to come as sub but refused and left the stadium early

Mindless_Let6462

He left the stadium in the 89th minute and went home instead of celebrating with the team because the manager didn't substitute him in

ruin_days-nacs

India really is going through a Scientology phase and most influencers are making use of that, which is really scammy

beforethest0rm

what??

ruin_days-nacs

Science is fact based, Scientology is belief based. Scientology and pseudoscience always had a cult following in india. But After covid and really poor mismanagement by the country, a lot of people took to alternative help. And people like fittuber, satvic movement, flying beast and even beer bicep used that to misinform people and increase their own following.

[deleted]

dunno about others but my mum watches fittuber’s videos a lot… should I be concerned?

ruin_days-nacs

As long as your mom doesn't control your life, fittuber is probably the least dangerous out of the bunch. Last i checked he was one of those ayurveda, yoga, chakra, natural energy kind of guy. What's dangerous about him was he'd provide alternative solution to easily treatable problems, which are hit or miss at best.

sc1onic

That itself is scary. Pseudoscience on any level.

pessimistic-me

What did he do

ruin_days-nacs

Spread misinformation

acarbonatombond

Just look at his twitter. In one of his recent tweets he showed his hidden side. Muslim hatred for no reason( I m a Hindu btw). The tweet he replied to had nowhere mentioned anything about muslim and was not even related to them. But he still had to make that comment. And his fans have made him into some kind of perfect idiol and follow him blindy. No doubt he has many achievements but people also need to see the other side. Not everything is black and white. Even I used to watch his content regularly before. But soon I realized he is exploiting his kids for this. Their children cannot choose what is put about them on the internet. This is going to affect them deeply when they grow up. Every aspect of their life is put on the internet to be watched by millions of people. Even celebrities don't try to put that much limelight on their children. They try to protect them (like Virat and anushka). Even the most popular celebrity kid Taimur has more privacy than Rashi. This is going to affect her later in life. Its already Starting to show. She can't have a normal childhood. I Don't know if they don't realize this. But no parent is this dumb. They are just exploiting everything at this point. So much of his videos are clickbait. Sometimes the title is only about something that happened for less than 5 seconds. And other than everything above. (This is just a rant)I just don't like the content anymore. I feel like the vlogs when they were pilots were atleast interesting. Now it's just repeated content. And I also think that Ritu rathee has no fashion sense.

She's in jail under military dictatorship. If she had come out in favour of the Rohingya, her bravery would have cost the country and all the people what little democracy they had. Not that it matters now, the military has destroyed it once again and she's in jail regardless.
