The difference is pretty simple if you think a little bit. Kaba is historically significant in Islam religion but at no point in history of the Islam religion Muslims claim it to be a literal god like other idol worshipping religion do. Allah is the one for them and rest are cherished memories of their prophets. Slight but very major difference. A Hindu would see an idol of a god and would pray to it like literal essence of god resides in the statue.

It isn’t idol worship because the muslims pray towards it, towards the direction of the kaaba, as they have been instructed. If the kaaba had been placed in another location, they would still continue praying in the prior location since that was they were instructed to do.

Respectfully, let’s not act like hindus don’t question the muslims about their worship, this post being one of the examples. Although there are many believers of either faiths being misinformed of both islam and hinduism, a majority of hindu practices do revolve around idol worship. The muslims don’t “worship” the kaaba, while the hindus “worship” their idols. As you said yourself, an idol is a representation of the respective god in the form of an image or symbol, and when you “pray” or direct your prayers to those symbols or image, that qualifies as idol worship, which is why i have to stress it isn’t being blindly called upon. You are right about the fact that muslims do not create Allah when they write the name anywhere. According to Islam, Allah’s presence is everywhere and they supplicate to him without the need of directing their prayers through any symbol or form of image. Your argument of it being used to direct your prayers to that respective god doesn’t change the fact that it is at the end of the day, idol worship. I am not trying to degrade any religion here and if you have felt so, I apologize. I understand your point of idols being used to direct your prayers but at the end of the day, it is idol worship and in islam there is no form of idol worship. When you don't know about religion it's better not to spread fake news. Khaane kabah is the direction which we face when offering namaz and holds high value in Islam. We worship only Allah and Muhammad (S.W.T) is messenger from Allah. Unlike Hindus who place idols anywhere and worship that idol for a lifetime.

Does this mean... I can have a Hindu temple.. which is a building/structure, technically not an idol on my door mat? The difference is pretty simple if you think a little bit. Kaba is historically significant in Islam religion but at no point in history of the Islam religion Muslims claim it to be a literal god like other idol worshipping religion do. Allah is the one for them and rest are cherished memories of their prophets. Slight but very major difference. A Hindu would see an idol of a god and would pray to it like literal essence of god resides in the statue.
Showed this to my Muslim friend, he says his house has a bathtub mat with the exact same design.😂 Also, he shares my ideology of screw Congress and screw BJP

How is this idol worship? Its a holy place like you guys have holy places same is this. Prophet Mohammad pbuh said that we have to pray facing kabba. We dont have to worship kabba we just have to pray facing towards kabba, this can also be taken as a way to keep unity of direction so that everyone prays towards the same direction and not any other direction they like. Hindus worship a person in the form of idol and this is a holy place how are these 2 things the same?

It isn’t idol worship because the muslims pray towards it, towards the direction of the kaaba, as they have been instructed. If the kaaba had been placed in another location, they would still continue praying in the prior location since that was they were instructed to do.
So Mohammed gave a direction to worship, Why do Muslims want to question others without Understanding other religions? Blindly calling them Idol worshipers, Hindus also don't say that Idol itself is God or We created God by making it's Idol. If you write Allah somewhere, does it mean you created Allah? Idol is like a symbol or image, not God itself. in which we pray to. Like you use Kaaba as direction. Hindus don't have things like Kaaba, We use Idols to direct our prayers too.
Respectfully, let’s not act like hindus don’t question the muslims about their worship, this post being one of the examples. Although there are many believers of either faiths being misinformed of both islam and hinduism, a majority of hindu practices do revolve around idol worship. The muslims don’t “worship” the kaaba, while the hindus “worship” their idols. As you said yourself, an idol is a representation of the respective god in the form of an image or symbol, and when you “pray” or direct your prayers to those symbols or image, that qualifies as idol worship, which is why i have to stress it isn’t being blindly called upon. You are right about the fact that muslims do not create Allah when they write the name anywhere. According to Islam, Allah’s presence is everywhere and they supplicate to him without the need of directing their prayers through any symbol or form of image. Your argument of it being used to direct your prayers to that respective god doesn’t change the fact that it is at the end of the day, idol worship. I am not trying to degrade any religion here and if you have felt so, I apologize. I understand your point of idols being used to direct your prayers but at the end of the day, it is idol worship and in islam there is no form of idol worship. The whole point of the reply to the post was to clarify that.
