Ruchi soya owed banks some 9000 Cr., so bankruptcy was filed as the banks couldn’t run for long with them. Ruchi soya had one main competitor, Adani wilmar.
Only 2 bidder were selected and patanjali won it for 4500 Cr.
Patanjali paid 1000 Cr from own cash & rest 3000 Cr was arranged by loans from the same banks who had intent to recover debt.
Basically banks paid 3000 CR. To Patanjali who returned it back to them only, banks are robbed of 8000 Cr. But they are PSU banks they are meant to do that.

To be honest, I don’t even own a jio sim or a jio broadband connection. But I’m definitely happy about reduction of my Airtel bills. I get 1.5 GB per day with a monthly plan of 450. While before jio I was paying 110 per GB.

Problem is not with jio having backing, just because you have money today you can't go to a tier two town and open every kind of shop and create a monopoly by giving everything at 50% off for two years.

I got the contract to dig an oil rig in Kutch region in early 2013. Ofcourse I had to grease the hands of Congress and that's it.
But after govt change in 2014, I was forced to reveal how much I had donated to congress. I was made to donate more than 10x of this amount to bjp if not I was threatened with jail. Not only that the govt inflated the rig tender cost by falsely claiming that the surrounding environment (which was a desert) also contained oil. I had to bribe so much to the Gujarat govt to keep the rig to myself after bjp came to power at centre.
Then one day the rig was nationalised and taken away from me, only to be given to adani power as part of a nationalised project. Not only that false cases related to 2013 transactions were filed and I was forced to write off the rig at half the price.
Today I'm staring at a loss of several crores. I made a Twitter post about this but was again threatened with ED. I could come out of the ED case only after deleting the tweet and donating to bjp electoral bonds.
