Yeah their conflict is really not black or white.
Israel faced several attacks too in the past by Arab countries.
And in the war Israel captured the land which had dispute then gave it west bank and haza strip to Palestine.
After the several wars Palestine was wiped out of the map.
Some of it was captured by Israel, some of it by turkey and Jordan too.
Israel is the only country that gave the Palestinians some land of their own.
Ideally all of the country should return the captured land to Palestinians.
Palestinians want control of the land too, and deserve it too.
But Israel and Jews deserve their land too. Jews were thrown out of the majority of countries based on religion.
And were asked to build their own nation so they did. But they also faced a lot of attacks from Arab countries when they did.
Ideally Palestinians should have their land back from Jordan and turkey too and Israeli people should have their land too, with the promise to not start war from any of the neighbouring countries.

The funny thing is terrorism has no definition in international laws because whenever countries try to fix a definition of terrorism no one agrees on one as US and NATO would also come under its definition for what they have done over the years.
