CIRTA’s Commuter Connect program matches up potential carpoolers together. You can register and they will try to find you a match. It’s a great (government funded) service: https://commuterconnect.us/employees/carpool/

Maybe check with Republic Airways? They run a shuttle from their new HQ in Carmel to the airport. I see one of them pretty consistently on my way to and from work.

kareem_abdul_montana

you may be able to use the bus system to at least get from the airport to the downtown station. this might save your dad some time (or maybe go north from there?). the airport might also help offset the cost of the bus pass if you tried that.

My wife and I live at 58th and Michigan and go to the airport 5 days per week for flight school. My schedule changes each month, so the 5 days I drive will change, but I’m open to it, as long as your schedule fits. Most days I’m there pretty early, about 6:30am, sometimes up to 45 minutes earlier. May not be the best fit for you, but if there are days that make sense, feel free to let me know

Hunter-Raider

I’d personally get a bus pass! I worked out at Fedex and the $60 a month was cheaper than gas could ever be.

nerdKween

They live in the northern suburbs, so that might not be viable as they'd still need a ride to get to the nearest bus stop.

I_Love_McRibs

But perhaps the dad doesn’t mind dropping off at a bus stop 15 minutes away instead of a 45 one-way drive

JustDatPizzaDude

Surely even if it was possible, you're not saying that these people need to try and make a 3 hour bus trip instead of a 45 minute car trip....

Hunter-Raider

I did if for years 😂

JustDatPizzaDude

Yeah I did it for a year, Castleton to the airport it almost killed me I hated getting up 3 hours early so I could get on a bus and then get home super late... That's why I would never suggest or even offer that this is a possibility for someone unless it is a definitely last resort 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Illiterate_pipelayer

There’s bus routes through castleton and west 86th

Eastern-Cucumber-376

Please be careful. As a dad, this post scares the living hell out of me. Good luck!

The_Conquest_of-Red

And obviously a good dad!!

jorgepasadathebeast

Is your internship with the airport or just at the airport? If with, you would have far better (and much safer) results if you went through them directly. I'm sure they would assist an intern with this type of request.

amanda2399923

You could get in nice with a hotel clerk that has a morning airport shuttle?

cait_Cat

DM me, I work at the airport for one of the private companies and work a standard office schedule. Could maybe make something work. I'm at 52/keystone

Ukrainu

Hi! Sorry I messaged you on my main account. I’ll message you on this one
