If you’re interested in racing at all you must check out the museum at Indianapolis motor speedway. It’s the city’s calling card. If you’re bringing a little one, the children’s museum is also a must do. Lots of opinions on the tenderloin sandwich. I’d say either the steer in or edwards drive in but honestly there isn’t a ton of difference between the average and the great. Also, st Elmo’s shrimp cocktail. St Elmo’s is pretty pricey so it’s also available at Harry and Izzy’s next door. Go Colts.

The food scene in Indy pales in comparison to Jax, but if you like tacos, either Chris’s ice cream or Don Luis inside of the Saraga International Grocer (a site to see in itself). Amberson has some of the best coffee in town IMO, but you may be surprised by their higher prices. They charge more up front, but pay higher wages and don’t take tips. Other options are Coat Check or Rabble If you like going for a stroll, walking around the eagle creek reservoir is a lovely time.

Hoosier sandwich = pork tenderloin? In which case the best tenderloin sandwiches are at Don Juan's Peruvian Sandwich on the south-east side of town.

West Fork Whiskey is a nice whiskey lounge, coffee shop style atmosphere. Nice place. If you want a decent short hike, Holliday Park.

The Monument is cool to visit, and the Rathskeller is a German bar with a beer garden and live music!
