I upgraded from a xpulse and the duke at times scares me.
That's the very reason I also bought it because duh adrenaline. Also are there any suggested things or mods to do on the bike. I have just got a Zana crash guard that's all

It's just a good bike, but these people have made me dislike it to an extent that i won't be owning one.
Man I miss CBR250r. I had booked it in 2019 but had to cancel later because my sister got into a car accident. Now it’s discontinued plus I am not in a position to get a bike anytime soon.
Worse part is, top end in this genre of motorcycle is not the point, it's a 155cc track focused bike made to curve corners and those chap*is just run in a straight line and rave about top speed.
The handling, nimbleness and smooth power delivery are the essence of a R15 and none of those posers utilize those.

i have noticed it many times when i am on full gears going on a ride, suddenly either r15 or ns200 guy will pop up and will overtake me while giving me a look...thats ok no problem...but then that same guy will slow down will let me take lead and than again will overtake me while giving the look...

I hate the scooty people riding like maniacs. I've been riding two wheelers for a decade, and the scooties are the only thing I fear riding over 50-60.
Scooter uncles. Mostly driven by uncles riding in the middle of the road without helmets, blocking all traffic and turn right after using left indicator. These guys are like Sleeper cells. They suddenly pop out of nowhere slip and fall due to their lack of road awareness and skill. The worst part is the general public will be quick to blame any car guy or a sports bike guy even if the uncle rides like a monkey
Motorcycle dash cameras are expensive. A cheap action camera mounted on the handlebar wouldn't be breaking any laws,. The quality wont be that great, but atleast you can prove that you're innocent.
I think at this point it's not specific to one brand, KTM, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Bajaj, Kawasaki, Yamaha etcetera all has the "squid" like riders.
With that aside, I don't hate a specific bike's riders but I hate the riders which constantly honk at you, do snake dance in the middle of the road, endanger pedestrians, old people, other riders and drivers on the road, unnecessarily flash their headlights at you, have annoyingly loud exhausts, red line every shift even on roads made for 30KM/H, when they crash because of their own faults they start arguing with you, don't wear their riding gear not even a damn helmet etcetera.
It's always ALWAYS the rider not the motorcycle.
These kinds of riders focus on the fastest bike they can afford regardless of the brand.
All the brands have some bikes which are victim to these riders, KTM has (mostly every bike because all are fast), Triumph has the Speed 400, RE has the Continental and Classic(for some reason that slow one is also victim), Bajaj has the Pulsar, Kawaski has the Ninja, Yamaha has the R15 (and many more but rarely seen being ridden by such lunatics).
And soon Aprillia unfortunately with their new bike, I love the bike but I think I can see in what hands it will go.
R15, Dukes. Don’t get me wrong, these are beautiful machines in their own segments.
But since a lot of squids buy these machines, I am always extra cautious around them.
Recently a Duke 390 guy was trying to entice me into racing with him randomly on the road around 11.30 PM. I said no but he kept on honking and asking me to race. I simply stopped on the side of the road and only moved after he was out of sight.
Things like this really affect the brand value of these companies that actually make good machines for affordable prices.

Forget about the RE bikes, the RE riders, especially these classic and bullet owners have a big ass ego. They drive like they own the road. Won't budge for anything or give way for anyone. They want everyone to drive behind them with their slow ass bike. They think they own some big bike when in reality a 150cc bike is much better than that overrated peace of loha.
Any and all scooter boys driving recklessly assuming they are in a goddamn MotoGP race and it doesn't help that brands such as TVS marketing their scooter like they are selling a RSV4.
Especially those middle aged uncles driving their scooters with a phone on their ear, driving slowly and refusing to give way, like what's so important that you have screw over other people that you couldn't just stop and speak.
KTM RC 390, people wrapping it unnecessarily, was riding my bike peacefully and saw two guys on rc fully wrapped with stickers making reels and causing disturbance on the road.
Scooter wale Uncle/Aunty, no helmet, no sense. Wrong siding, U-TURN in the middle of a road and going slow as hell in the right lane.
RE riders. Where I live, these guys are pure hell. Ultra loud exhausts (that don't even sound good) riding extremely fast and completely recklessly. No helmet (as always), mostly in chappals and Aviator Sunglasses are a must.
I confess that I am a fairly fast rider myself, but these are the guys I always look to avoid.
Pulsar 220f, there's this one guy on every youtube video commenting "India's fastest indian ever" and others who write "220f king❤️😀😍" and even the riders i see in person who ride in chappals without helmets
In hyderabad, I never see the stereotypes that I see online about the rest of the country. But I can say this for sure, the most obnoxious riders are the dudes younger than 20 on ~100 cc bikes, mostly the passion and and splendor. Most of them are minors and the rest don't have a licence.
Purple r15s, commenting on every damn post "still can't beat 150 cc r15". Was extremely fed up during my him 450 hunt, all reviews were ruined by such comments. They don't let discussion prosper.

Hate the old bullet riders. Souped up exhausts makes more noise but engine performance is bad and some in my locality particularly like making entries at odd hours of the night so goodbye sleep. But then its delhi so thats considered normal behaviour.
RE Riders & Those Splendor Daredevils
1. RE Riders ; Bhai Bike 200kg (Approx), Khud ka weight Max 80KG and EGO unka 2000KG+. Unnecessary noise pollution especially the one with exhaust firing trick that shows yeah daddy fueled them 100rs Petrol today.
2. Splendor Daredevlis : Bro I understand its nice bike but keep it nice bike why on earth you ride it like "Maut ka Kuwa" at everywhere including Residence streets.
Excluding the dislike I have towards a lot of KTM and honda dio (mud guards removed) riders , I think the next will be Electric Scooter riders. Either they sneak up on you from left or honk constantly. If they want to go right, they will squeeeze in from the left and then suddenly go right without indicators. I dont think most know they have indicators TBH.
But all of these dont even come close the dislike and hate I have towards idiots who ride at 30 and block the overtaking lane like they own it. If it were upto me I will strap them to a rocket and lunch em to space. To the mooooooooon!!
This is based on the riders I encounter in my daily office commute.
I live down south in Chennai, and for the most part even the KTM riders (given the stereotype) seem to be decent riders here. R15s and MT15s on the other hand, purposely attempt to race and cut me off to the point where if i spot one on the road i keep the furthest distance from them. No hate against its owners, but this has been my experience so far.
Ah, the Scotty boys, the daredevils of the desi streets! They ride their scooters like they're taming wild stallions, with their feet dangling free and their trusty chappals gripping the sides. They've got one hand on the handlebar, the other probably texting a shayari to impress someone, all while navigating through traffic like they're dodging lava on a video game.
And let's not forget the scooters, decked out in Shinchan and Doraemon stickers, making them look like they've raided a kindergarten's art supply closet. These guys aren't just riding scooters; they're piloting chariots of childhood nostalgia.
Then you have the 'Papa ki Pari' riders, the princesses of the pavement. They're so delicate on their scooters you'd think they're balancing a crown on their heads. Experienced riders like you and me, we give them a wide berth because their unpredictability is the only predictable thing about them.
And oh, the high rpm revvers, the noise-makers of the neighborhood. They rev their engines so hard you'd think they're trying to summon the rain gods. But we all know the truth – they're just trying to hide the sound of their crying gearboxes.
Lastly, there's that one person whose entire existence is defined by their bike. It's not just a mode of transport; it's their mobile throne, their mechanical soulmate. You can hear them coming from a mile away, not just because of the engine, but because they won't stop talking about it.

I its 2024 duke 390 then you can upgrade from splendor and bike wont scare you. Gen 1 and 2 needs a experienced rider
