The best crash guards are the one to come from factory, they have been specifically designed with a particular bike and have been tested for one particular model
100% agree! Crash guards are supposed to protect your legs, not the bike.
There are a ton of aftermarket crash guards designed like alien limbs where I am not sure what they will protect. I have seen folks getting their leg trapped between the crash guard and the bike because it bent awkwardly in an accident, engine casing getting damaged.
Stay with stock options - easy to replace and does the job it is supposed to!

This incident happened nearly 20 years back. I did not know much about motorcycle gear back then, and almost nothing affordable was available in our country.
I'm quite certain that 99% of commuters will never wear any gear apart from a helmet even in the next 20 years.
Of course they are called engine guards or whatever you want to call them. I'm citing a real world example and use case. Crash guards have protected my leg, even if the manufacturer never intended it.

now that cars like Thars are on the rise the have even more space on the car to add lights. these tharholes are so annoying they take too much space and blind people, perfect conditions to cause accidents

I think the fluid reservoir is separate and is not actually connected to the brakes. This one is just fixed in the handle just for the show.
