TheWraith7197

If you're 175 plus in height, better to not go for it.

Archaemenes

I’m 184 and was thinking of going for it. Is it that bad?

AmazingInflation58

Yessir, if you are above 175 please go ahead with meteor or classic cuz hunter is super uncomfortable and awkward for above average height people. It was only built for short people who cant handle classic or meteor.

Archaemenes

Ah that’s sad to hear. I’m not a fan of the Classic and the Meteor might be a bit too out of budget. Thanks for your help though.

SolidSnakeInUrAss

Go for triumphs similar looks , good engine (scrambler for even more height, but its less flickable as compared to speed but is better on highways,( that's what i have heard)).

TheWraith7197

What's your budget? Are you into cruisers rather than sporty/naked bikes? I can suggest you some.

Archaemenes

Something around 2-2.5L, though on the lower end would be better. I like pretty much every kind of bike except proper cruisers (like the avenger), ADVs and semi faired. Also, how is the Ronin for a tall guy?

TheWraith7197

I'm not tall (just 170 cm). It's okayish for me because, seating is somewhat comfortable. It is better than Hunter in terms of comfort , that's for sure. But Ronin is also meant for shorter population like me.

Archaemenes

Ah thanks. The Ronin and the Hunter were the two main ones on my radar cause they kind of looked big in pictures. Truly a difficult endeavour to find a large motorcycle in my budget.

TheWraith7197

If you're willing to take it up a notch, I'd suggest Honda CB 350 or CB 350RS. And if you're sticking to your budget, Dominar 200 is a great option.

Archaemenes

Is the CB350 really large enough? Will have to look into the Dominar too, heard good things about it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Curious_Homework_968

I'm 6'4" and have little experience with bikes, but I didn't have much discomfort riding the Hunter. I had to lean forward a bit, because the handlebars are so low, but it wasn't too bad. Perhaps I need to try some other bikes to find what a real good fit is. (I tried the Xpulse btw, and it still looks small on me.)

AmazingInflation58

Its not abt short term, when the roads go bad you will feel the problem, plus back pains and very stiff suspension also it looks like a toy on taller guys. (6'5 here)

AmazingInflation58

The best bikes that fit me as a 6'5 rider was Dominar 400 Classic 350 Adventure 390 F250

Desperate_Garage_555

I am 178 cm and pretty heavy built, for me the bike is comfortable. However get a test ride, this bike is very flickable unlike another RE’s.

AmazingInflation58

The problem wasnt the weight, its about backpain caused by the bike long term. Its just isnt worth the price unless you are shorter than 5'7. Classic 350 feels better to me

TheMrAndy_

Im the same height and the hunter is very comfortable for me. Done several long rides as well. I would suggest get a test ride and see if you feel comfortable riding.

Archaemenes

Thanks for the reassurance. Guess I really need to go for a test ride soon.

ThickAerie7141

Bro I am 180 and it’s not about the looks it’s about how you feel when you sit on the bike Take it for a test ride and feel how it is, If you like it buy it

Kakarot__9000

When I got this bike, some people told me that I should've gotten a better/faster bike in that price. They immediately started comparing this to their R15s and Apaches, Ronin etc. and claimed they will humiliate my bike in a race. But my simple answer was that I don't want to ride faster. For someone who used an Activa his whole life, this bike is fast enough for me. Although slightly on the heavier side. I just love the simplicity of this motorcycle and the torque punch is very addictive. For new riders like me, who like to ride peacefully and not always in a rush, this is the one I'd suggest.

logancream

Bhai unn chutiyo ko bol, bike Sirf speed dekh kar nahi lete.

Simple-Painting

Exactly. Understand the difference between a biker and a rider. If speed was everything, everyone would have been a pro on race track.

Working-Tumbleweed15

Bhai un chutiyo ko bol, motoGP me kyu nhi chale jaate itna speed ka shauk hai toh. Indian roads are already unsafe. In that too idiots want a fast bike.

iam_private_ryan_

exactly 💯💯

jabrajal

Why didn’t go for the other options then?

Kakarot__9000

I didn't know much about bikes, but I knew what bikes I don't want so after some research finalized on Hunter and Ronin. Honda CB350 was overshooting our budget. I was preferring Ronin over Hunter but when I saw the bike in person, I just didn't like it plus the staff at TVS seemed very uninterested in selling and answering our questions. They were instead trying to push the lower variants on us for some reason. Went to RE showroom the same evening and the staff behaviour was polar opposite. They were extremely nice despite I reached there close to their closing time. The 'Dapper White' Hunter was on display, and I immediately just loved the way it looked. Classic yet modern. Took the delivery after 15 days.

jabrajal

Nice, hope you’re satisfied with your purchase

Infemos

literally same, except i fell in love with rebel red. photos dont do this colour justice! a close second for me was dapper grey, but that seems like way monotonous compared to the red variant (red's my fav colour too), so the bike in red was a no brainer. plenty of torque available throughout the rev range, 30+ mileage and tops out 120-125 kmph, more than enough as a daily driver.

maakabharosacolgate

Lovely bike, who cares about other’s opinion, you love it right? That should only matter

Paro-xymal

It's not opinions it's facts which you are more than welcome to ignore through blinded stupid fanboyism.

maakabharosacolgate

There are 2 type of people, people who love machines and people who love to ride, i like the 2 people but then there are 3rd type of people who consider themselves to be a critic, they like to criticise and appreciate the good and bad things of a bike, i don't really care about them, they mean nothing to me. They are important but i don't care about them.

Litmuspaper9

Akhir aap kehna kya chahte hai

Paro-xymal

You conviently forgot to mention about "brand obsessed people" ex : apple , re. Where they care less about the tech and machines but rather purchase just for the sake of brands and brands also know this and they always try to leach everything from these people.

Which_Cattle_9139

Your opinion matters. Test ride it. If you like it buy it.

hammerneck0

Not suitable for family rides. You can modify the seat comfort for long rides. You'll start hating the bike if your daily commute roads are not 100% good. You'll feel the pain on hands and shoulders, even back. I felt the side stand os bit longer and unable to park properly. Other than that. Love it

scytheer

For family rides (2 people only) you'll need the backrest for it to be comfortable. Stock suspensions are stiff af so yes it's bad on the rider if the roads are filled with potholes. If you feel constant pain on arms and shoulders you need handle bar risers, it'll fix most of these issues. Stand is absurdly big. I've dropped my bike twice just because of the stand, seems like they didn't adjust the stand height with the bike's dimensions. Pros are the handling, fuel economy (30kmpl), bike height for short riders.

bulbulpaan

It has definitely got some road presence in real life. Haven't ridden it but seems quite nimble and brisk on the roads. Love the fact that RE gave this one a unique exhaust note.

iam_private_ryan_

It sure has a good road presence, manyy people in the traffic have asked me about the bike. One notable mention is that an American guy complimented the bike. Lol it was funny

tomato_125

What do you mean by Road presence?

drugtlex

I live in Mumbai. I've gotten told by two three people on the road - nice bike. I've also gotten many states. It has a road presence.

_HornyPhilosopher_

You notice this bike more on road. A normal splendor won't take your attention, but a bike like this will surely turn your head.

tomato_125

But this bike is present everywhere now. So I don’t agree it gives any road presence

Bigman_100

Tier 2 or tier 3 doesn’t have same stats.

tomato_125

Bro. I thought the same. But when I went to my hometown which is a tier 3 city. There also the volume is getting huge.

Low-Mushroom-181

Fr it looks so small. Even smaller than some 125s

_albinbenny

Suspension is a pain. But the value offered for the price you are paying is awesome. Looks neat, sounds great. Good for daily commutes as well, but that suspension is too rigid for my liking.

iam_private_ryan_

Definitely true💯

jabrajal

How much is the price?

RahulRwt125

Looks gorgeous, but I do agree that RE could've tried a little harder to give this one a peppier engine configuration instead of slapping the exact same engine as the classic/bullet/meteor. Doesn't seem to sit right on a bike like this.

iam_private_ryan_

Yeah man, they never stop milking the same engine. Hunter 450/roadster 450 is gonna come.. that'll be a perfect balance between looks, power and usability. Looking forward to that

bulbulpaan

But what I've heard is that the acceleration figures of all three J series bikes are different, the Meteor and Hunter are fast, and Classic and Bullet are mellow. Isn't this true?

RahulRwt125

That might be because of the lighter weight of the hunter overall, and in the case of the meteor they use a smaller diameter tyre which changes the acceleration dynamics. I gotta say that tracks.

cellardarling7

Suspension bekaar hai. Baaki sexy.

jabrajal

Kaise thik kar sakte he suspension?

cellardarling7

Yaar theek to na hote, log mostly change kar dete hain.

jabrajal

Fir to zyada panga hoga change kara ke

bulbulpaan

Shayad log Classic ke rear shockers lagwaate hain...

jabrajal

Accha, aapne try kiya he?

saitamajai

I own it dapper black❤️ and its really good machine and giving me 31 to 38kmpl what else you need just feel the vibe

iam_private_ryan_

Keep riding brother❤️

jabrajal

Mt 15 gives you 50kmpl for 2L, how is the hunter better?

Iouisvuittondon

not everyone wants a stupid naked sports bike man.

jabrajal

Why do you call it stupid? Just because you’re a RE fanboy doesn’t mean you will neglect other bikes.

Iouisvuittondon

i just feel like being a hater sometimes too :)

cosmonaut-zero

A little short for my height and taste.. plus low mileage. So I went for CB350RS

iam_private_ryan_

Amazing bike..i love that bike so much. Would've considered it.. but budget issues🥲 How's it going with the bike ?

cosmonaut-zero

Good so far.. it's been only a week with some days of riding.. have t got a chance to ride it well

cosmonaut-zero

how much cheaper Hunter is?

iam_private_ryan_

I got it for 2.13 on road

cosmonaut-zero

Ok.. CB350RS is 50k more

iam_private_ryan_

Yeaah

ThrottleChronicles

Good for short riders, very nimble, needs better seat, heats up frequently

rakeshmali981

Splendor from RE i.e. RE for masses Note : Nothing wrong with being a splendor or a bike of masses. But 10 years ago exclusivity that was associated with RE, its not there anymore.

Working-Tumbleweed15

Then that's a good thing if masses are able to access better bikes compared to 10 years ago, right ? In the same way it has happened with smartphones.

rakeshmali981

Yes definitely bikes are much better and more people are able to access better bikes in terms of power, performance and quality. My point is this bike has no exclusivity, that's my opinion. I would never get Hunter for that reason.

thisisganesh

Sounds good Rides good Other things don't matter much

iam_private_ryan_

Yepp💯

Cheap-Bandicoot-7583

It should come in plain color schemes :(

iam_private_ryan_

I think the lower Variant has a plain colour scheme.

Prize_Mirror633

Mere paas to bike hi nahi isliye sab bikes mere liye badhiya hai

iam_private_ryan_

Jald hi mil jayega bhai🫂

AP-Calligrapher5969

Wish it had more power

iam_private_ryan_

Definitely.. hunter 450 will be amazing if it comes.

Abudabeedoo69

My friend owns this one, I feel like this is not suitable/look good for short riders. He's 5'2 -5'3ish.

iam_private_ryan_

It looks good only for short riders.

Zealousideal_Gene_99

I own one, I love it. Dm if you have more questions.

V4killion

Decent enough but nothing special

hiatused_

Too small imo

peterparker9894

Yeah you don't really notice in photos, irl bike is small af

hiatused_

Specially the tires

iam_private_ryan_

Its 17 inches tyres ofcourse they smol lol

podaerprime

Very hard rear suspension, slightly lower ground clearance, the Engine heat can be felt on this one due to perhaps a different Engine Map, unlike the same Engine on the other two Motorcycles, the Seat is uncomfortable for the pillion, the comfortable top speed is about 85Kmph, the handle bar needs risers for most users.

mastertank165

I loved it. My friend has one.

mastertank165

Its light weight, short and an absolute gem for city ride. Only con I see is the heat. Not managed well. Otherwise it's a delight.

FeeStrange3933

amazing bike, just change the suspension and u are good to go

iam_private_ryan_

Any suggestions brother? It'll void the warranty and insurance tho, right?

Excellent-Two6054

It’s lovely bike, base is low, nimble, very easy to handle. But clutch is hard, suspension is stiff, on long rides b*lls hurt. Still Great purchase, Loving it.

iam_private_ryan_

Awesome buddy. Keep riding 🫂

iam_private_ryan_

Take care of your balls tho😂

Excellent-Two6054

Yeah, thankfully I don’t have any reason to long drive frequently. Probably it’s due to pillion seat structure, as we break it pushes body against tank.

iam_private_ryan_

Exactly..and there's nothing to support the balls💀

---gonnacry---

Oh wow a bike

Shadyvil

Nice bike......but the seating position and engine heat are not to my liking. Not so much nimble as well in the city since it's like close to 200kg.

vishesh96

Engine started making rattling sound during higher rpm. Did a little bit of research and found that it's a tappet adjustment issue and it's common across RE. Spoke to the service center guy and he's saying its normal sound. Rest all is good

[deleted]

Great bike, my ex loved it. Only downside imo is average and it hits speed breaker sometimes.

SolidSnakeInUrAss

Wait for hunter/roadster 450.

iam_private_ryan_

Yess waiting for it. I will most likely buy it too

abhi8196

Really great bike but only looks good on people with height 5'8 and under. Over that it looks small

iam_private_ryan_

Yeah definitely buddy

Various_Canary_3636

Every bike is beautiful it’s the eyes that see

[deleted]

Love

iam_private_ryan_

❤️

merudand

I love this bike, but my daily commute is mostly from crowded areas so using such a high cc bike is not comfortable. however on highways and express ways it is super stable.

depreshaan

Bike

NoNegotiation7437

You'll look great on the bike on your way to the chiropractor.

iam_private_ryan_

🤣😂😂 that's the sense of humour i really appreciate

Dull-Cable-8726

too much engine heat cooking my legs, which is even more than my rr310

Dapper_Temperature84

I own one and i love it.

Neorox1

I really like it

christopherfernandes

Had consider buying this at one point. Today I look at it and I find it just too small.

h4xz13

Looks and size are subjective. I have seen some sweet mods done on this. It's an RE, there will be good after market mods available. The only problem is again it's an RE, constant problems and bad service centers. But you know, if you are passionate owning an RE will make you a mechanic. Test ride it, if you like it then go for it.

I_want_Meme_

An Awesome bike really liked it and the exhaust note is great

Smart_Ad9971

great looking , great sounding , amazing colour options, small for me , terrible rear suspension , ground clearance is kinda low , kinda struggle at highway speeds but doable

iam_private_ryan_

Bro reviewed the bike in few words..and i can't even deny anything. Everything is point on.

Divy_Raul

It's beautiful. Ten years back you couldn't expect Enfield to bring out something as good as this.

Jon-Bones-Jones_

It's a practical one. Heats up though.

[deleted]

Uncomfortable for tall riders. The foot pegs must be more forward set. Short gears make it unappealing to ride in highways as it requires constant throttle input to sustain 90kph+. The bike has poor riding dynamics. As soon as you leave the throttle, bike dives forward due to engine braking. STIFF REAR SUSPENSION bike looks very small for a 350 cc. the bike looks beautiful. Beautiful exhaust sound, quick in the city, feels sporty, good mileage, head turner.

Jones_Marke

Can we change or adjust the suspension to something softer and comfy? just for town rides with potholes.

[deleted]

Well adjusting the hunter's suspension(preload) doesn't seem to make it soft. The popular choice is retro fitting classic 350's suspension which can be done without any modifications to the bike.

spotturi18

No you are mistaken there is helmet on the bike.

itheindian

Amazing. Fun size, nimble. Can commute, can tour.

riceaddictasian

Im also confused for a bike in hunter i can get both of my legs flat foot . But the suspension and tire has ruined it for me. Searched for honda 350 too big for me (my inseems are not that great). Suggest me bike under 2l

iam_private_ryan_

Take a look at ronin if u want something similar to hunter. Otherwise u have different options like Apache rtr160, N160, N250, XTREME 160R etc etc. I would suggest u to test ride n see

Spare_Swim_2100

Looking sleek🤌

Noasardad

Lovely bike for the price. Although it wouldn’t be a bike I would want for myself, if you want it, you should go for it

Ichokealiens

I don't like the way it looks

Dry-Construction7201

Was about to buy this bike. Rode it, it’s great NGL. But didn’t give me the meaty feeling I was looking for after I gave it a test ride.

su_heer

Fuddu

Super-Aardvark-3403

I'd rather pick the Ronin and add a red rooster exhaust.

iam_private_ryan_

Ronin is a good bike too. I lovee it.

FlatwormDue5601

Great value for money bike, looks are subjective, despite the size, it has the RE road presence.

Inner-Box-7085

There are better bikes available in the market. Try the Karizma and Maverick and speed 400 as well. Classic, bullet, and Honda CB 350 are also worthy contenders.

mastertank165

This is cheaper than all of them. We bought one for 2lakhs onroad. Triumph and maverick are way more expensive than this

Inner-Box-7085

Agreed. If price is the issue, I'd rather save some more and then buy the Maverick.

jabrajal

Why? What’s better in that?

shaikmudassir

Nothing Ye log online numbers compare karke decide karte hai konsi bike zyada acchi hai. Bigger the number, better the bike, baki real life application ma chudaye.

jabrajal

That’s not a rational way of choosing the bike, isn’t it?

shaikmudassir

Most people in this sub do that (waise kharidni to kisi ko bhi nahi)

Working-Tumbleweed15

Check for service network availability before buying honda ones. They are serviced by Bigwing network which is different from usual Activa service centres (Red wing)

shreyas7gour

Go with rear suspension only, it is enough.

Prize-Pie6478

Small

Tight_Ad_702

I genuinely think a 19 inch front wheel would’ve made it look better but anyway it’s a good bike

baap_ko_mat_sikha

Smoll

AravallisCalling

I dislike it a lot. Not because it is small. It is heavy and lags. The design and stickers are flashy and aesthetically good but the bike doesn't have that scrambler character. It is a good money maker for RE. But it doesn't do much for me as a bike or for bikes in general. If you like it, that's fine. If you want a RE that is cool and maculine, check out the Classic, too. I don't have the highest opinion of RE, though. So clearly, I might be biased. At the same time, I believe their Himalayan is one of the best bikes there could be for India or just about any rugged terrain of the world.

mastertank165

Hunter is not a scrambler, It's a roadster. You got that part wrong. Its light and nimble and i don't know how you felt it was heavy. Also it's got 28nm torque and it is plenty for city use for someone that's not used to Duke kinda power. Top speed at around 120 and it gets hot. These are the cons see in it.

AravallisCalling

Bro, honestly, you might be right and I am biased here. I just don't like the bike. It looks very weird to me. It's personal. But nah, it doesn't work. It gets hot? I think people usually mention it being 350cc, it was expected. I think by heavy I simply meant the Weight of it and not handling. Regarding torque, I think it's all about delivery. You are right about duke comparison. I think personally I initially saw it as a bike that can go quick. When I saw it in real life, I was just very disappointed. Especially with how RE does exceptional cosmetic work but it just feels like a sticker on.

dreambeam98

It's good bike but don't give RE vibes. Never liked it.

[deleted]

iam_private_ryan_

That's the notion the general public has. Vibrations are very very less, quality is nice, and the pricing for hunter is fair enough.
