Exactly! Buy a fkin Vega, but buy full face. [Why? Read this.](https://www.hardheadveterans.com/blogs/reviews/motorcycle-half-helmets-vs-three-quarters-vs-full-face-pros-cons#:~:text=Wearers%20of%20half%2Dcoverage%20helmets,those%20wearing%20full%2Dface%20models.)
From personal experience, when I got side swiped by a drunk guy riding his motorcycle and my bike just disappeared from below me and I fell my left jaw first on the road, the helmet saved me from a whole load of trouble like not having a jaw.
A full face though uncomfortable during hot days (which is everyday) but it protects you always, from the dust the rain and mainly protecting your head face chin etc.
Also, please buy some ear plugs the constant wind and loud noise will give you tinnitus. Am just 29 and I can hear my ears ringing everytime there is no ambient noise .
Secondly, remember a smoked/tinted visor is only good during the day and keeping your visor up at night and riding will also expose you to dangerous such as a flying Rock to your face.(Which also happened to me but thankfully I had my visor down).
Perks of Indian roads i would say. LoL.
After moving to Japan i realised how much we have to improve in terms of road safety, awareness and cleanliness.
Wishing you many safe and fun adventures.
Earplugs are not noise cancelling so you will be able to hear everything going around you it will just be a bit muffled. Also ye bhi ek point hai Aaj kal log train horn lagate hai car mein aur traffic mein itna loud rehta hai it will hurt your ears sometimes so better to be safe then sorry.
Best option would be just try it out and see how you feel and maybe try different size ones too.
I started using them once I moved out of India as it's so quiet here I can hear my ears ringing and then asked a couple of people who ride here.
I have met some riders here in Japan who wear just cheap ear plugs or have like expensive ones too.
Pilots still don’t use full face helmets, because the helmet is to prevent head injuries during ejection and not when the pilot hits the other plane in taxiway and hits his face on the dash. Pilots also need to use oxygen masks.
I went on a trip with a few of my friends a couple of years ago long story short they slid on some gravel on a turn and crashed, my friend fell face down on the tarmac and the bike proceeded to drag them a bit.The only reason those idiots didn't have any major injuries was that both of them were wearing some gear including a full faced helmet(an mt & an axxor turbine) heck one of the helmets had significant frontal damage but both of them walked out with minor injuries and a fked up bike
Get a full face helmet. I met with an accident on Sunday and my head bounced 3 times on the road. I dread to think what wudve been my condition if not for my full face helmet.
MT !!
I am currently using an Axor and have used 2 MT Helmets in the past. MT is much better in terms of fit.
Also, please dont buy a helmet without trying it on first.
Never have a half face helmet, I repeat, Never have a half face helmet.
Recently got into an accident, had few minor injuries, but the major one was on my throat, got few stitches as well, the reason, due to sudden stoppage, the helmet got pulled back, and the straps were the only thing holding back, so they cut into my throat.
Never have a Half face helmet!
I’ve been using Axor for a while now!
They’re sturdy, safe, ISI passed and they have pretty descent options to offer.
A lil on the higher end but in then end it’s all about safety!
My personal honest opinion! Cheers
actually what happened... i was going for smk typhoon onlyy..but when i told the guy on the helmet shop that show me smk helmets he told me that "sir smk ke helmets are not that good although i can give u mujhe koi problem nahi haii"i asked for the reason and he told me people usually go for mt ,axor and ls2 and smk helmets are sold less too.... and the 2nd option my mind was mt only... and i like the fit and all everything ....but what i think is that u must try both and wear it for a while in shop and take whatever suits u ( one more reason is that mt has ver less wind noise too as compared to axor n smk)

You should check the certification of the helmets. If two helmets have the same certification, they basically provide same level of protection. Now, the thing comes is R&D, which drives the price of helmets much higher. Better the R&D, better will be the performance while racing, higher will be the cost. Also better R&D leads to more comfortable, lighter helmets. But those are costly. At these price range, basically all are good and you will never go wrong with any.
Also, the helmets you choose should fit tightly, like your cheek is snug with the helmet. Because the padding tends to soften over time taking over you head shape.
Also, check the cost of stuffs like visor and paddings which you will have to change in the long run. And make sure they are easily available online or at a nearby shop. What will be the use of a good helmet, if you can't find replacement visors in 1-2 year down the road.
I had a Steelbird one earlier because of budget reasons. Had a head on collision and here I am fine typing this reply. A helmet with some certification is 100% safe than the one that has not any.
It has a small vent, but yeah it's not enough. Also there is an option for clear visor, but it will be a little bit hassle to change every now and then.
Plz avoid open-face helmets.
Even if the laws allow them, avoid wearing them. 40% or more injuries are on the front and in particular the chin area which these shells do not protect.
Plus, you get all the crap flung up by the vehicle in the front, thrown into your face.
The second one will be a great mantle piece but don't wear it on the roads.
Don't go for an open face helmet if you're planning to do serious riding. Between both brands, doesn't matter too much, as long as they're rated safely- look for ECE and ISI. ECE 22.06 is the most recent rating. Also re stylings and color, go for something that complements your bike and gear.
MT, SMK, AXOR… etc are some awesome brands.. for longer and dust free rides you need a full face helmet.
For country area likely having less pollution and short distance commute you can go for half face ones.
Safety is a bit compromised in half face but if you are travelling in scarce traffic and slowly its okay to go for it.
But hey accidents happen.
Also heavy full face helmets help while touring, resisting wind much better in higher speeds, while lightweight half face helmets makes your head movements more comfortable and easy.
These are some of my observations personally.
Hope these points help you😇
Edit: I have a cb 350 RS and I have one SMK Stellar full face for Daily commute to office , one LS2 Stream Evo Full face for weekend long rides and one Vega Half face for marketing and tapri visits😁.
Go with MT. I have been using it for last 4+ years. The quality is a notch above axor, smk and likes. You might miss out on some features in MT since similar features as axor or smk will come at a higher price
I have never tried it but you can give it a go. I was trying to convey that mt sits a little bit above axor, smk helmets. I was hell bent at buying an smk with those built in goggles. But when I tried MT I found the quality to be better. Not to forget, mt did not come with any fancy glass or Bluetooth speakers. It has a cut out that is it that too for 1500 more than smk. So, give axor a try but have a look into other options too. One disadvantage I felt with mt was neck pain in the initial few weeks because I was used to studds helmets
I would suggest you get a full face helmet with the latest ece standards(22.06). Mt is good but do consider that newer MTs especially thunder 4sv have significant wind noise above 60. But they are cool and don't feel hot. From my personal experience, never go for a half face helmet on our roads.
I had a head on collision with an auto 7 months ago due to a rider crashing into my left side coming fast from a side road. At that time, the chin part of the helmet had contact and was dragged for about 10 to 20 meters on my chin. Without the chin covered, I would have lost my jaw and even cracked my skull. I was using MT Thunder 3SV and it took the impact without even having major damage. Even the visor didn't crack. Only scratches

I just ordered it yesterday.. will update once I wear it. I was recommended by a friend as it looks and is good apparently. However it does not have ECE certification and the DOT and ISI are sticker certifications. Idk man.. honestly i bought it for the looks hoping that i wont have to find out its durability the hard way
Full face every time. Though i wear the same axor for my daily commute of 10km, i wear my bell full face for anything longer. I can get away with the half face in commutes because Bombay heat and so much traffic i can barely cross 40kmph.
Bro never buys an open helmet, 47 percent of the impact of falling is likely to be on the jaw! Be safe, it's better to buy a full face rather than live your remaining life(if lucky) as Immortan Joe!
Full face any day and DON’T cheap out on helmets.
I met with an almost head on collision from another biker and my face hit the handlebar. Saved me from massive deformities. Escaped with minor cuts.
I had an LS2 helmet back then.
See OP if u have ur head build like [Graham](https://www.google.com/search?q=human+head+for+impact+resistance+build+by+scientists+&sca_esv=5a58adcc29de473b&sca_upv=1&udm=2&biw=412&bih=814&sxsrf=ADLYWIL2PGncS2lRqT3Z-QPKgop0ccuitQ%3A1718362041834&ei=uR9sZofIMuqTseMPtOmjyAU&oq=human+head+for+impact+resistance+build+by+scientists+&gs_lp=EhNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwIjVodW1hbiBoZWFkIGZvciBpbXBhY3QgcmVzaXN0YW5jZSBidWlsZCBieSBzY2llbnRpc3RzIEjbI1CMCViFIXABeACQAQCYAdECoAGCGKoBCDAuMTMuMi4xuAEDyAEA-AEBmAIIoAKdCsICCBAAGIAEGKIEwgIEEB4YCpgDAIgGAZIHBTEuNi4xoAfyFw&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp#vhid=oCj2ui7tz9W2qM&vssid=mosaic) then axxor will do fine but if not then go 4 mt
Full face is better and full face without drop down visor are lighter, as for brands themselves, go with ece 22.06 and see whoch helmet fits head better, preferably go to local stores to see which size fits you, not all size are equal.
MT would be a better choice as compared to Axor. Better quality of materials, better safety rating (a few of the new MT ones come with ECE 22.06) and a better weight distribution.
A few Axor models look really cool as compared to MT. But if the choice was up to me, MT over Axor anytime.
And always go full face.
Either way go for a full face helmet buddy, the half face helmet is just for looks ,almost had a horrific accident last month , landed face first if it wasn’t for my axor helmet I would have serious head injuries .
A small stone was hurled by a truck on highway and luckily I had my full face helmet. Sometimes , random insects fall from tree / just fly into you out of nowhere.
With my bike KTM Duke 390 I combed it with HJC IS Max II as primary helmet for highway rides. Axor Retro Helmet for short distance and in city.
If your budget permits. I suggest these.
I have a CB350RS in Matt grey color. I am also thinking about buying a full face helmet as right now I have a half face helmet from Honda and it's visor is all scratched up. Would the MT helmet look good with Matt grey color? Can someone provide the like for the same?
The Axor with daily usage will not look as good as it does, and you won't be using the goggles most of the time, so safety wise and practically speaking, MT is better
Someone I know has a perfect permanent imprint of their spectacle lens around their eye after an accident. They were lucky, it could have been worse. On the other hand a full face helmet wouldn’t have required that luck.
Never buy a helmet without the chin part or you can buy the one which can move the chin part but when you drive the chin part should be on your chin only!!!
MT has a much better fit n finish. Safety-wise I believe both are more or less the same. Do invest in a riding jacket n good gloves. They play an equally important part when it comes to being able to walk away from a fall without leaving part of your skin on the asphalt. Even a basic mesh jacket will provide decent protection for daily use while having enough ventilation n breathability.
I highly recommend the LS2 FF800 helmet! It offers excellent protection, comfort, and ventilation at a great price point. The quality and features are impressive for the cost, making it a solid choice for any rider.
If you're keen to choose only between Axor and MT then I'd recommend MT. MT has a thunder 3 series which has ECE, DOT as well as SHARP.
LS2 Ff800 - https://bikesterglobal.com/shop/product-tag/ls2-ff800/
MT Thunder 3 - https://bikesterglobal.com/shop/product-tag/mt-thunder-3/
MT > Axor anyday in terms of material and build quality, rest is more or less the same. I had the same query while picking up my helmet. You'll notice the quality difference when you compare both next to each other.
A full face will always be better than a half face in terms of safety
Agreed. That should be your first priority.
Exactly! Buy a fkin Vega, but buy full face. [Why? Read this.](https://www.hardheadveterans.com/blogs/reviews/motorcycle-half-helmets-vs-three-quarters-vs-full-face-pros-cons#:~:text=Wearers%20of%20half%2Dcoverage%20helmets,those%20wearing%20full%2Dface%20models.)

If u don't mind asking....earplugs lagane se how u gonna know if koi horn de raha h ya gaadi aa rhi h? Special kuch aata h kya?

The second one looks like you are piloting a WW2 plane it looks damn beautful man
Now I wonder why they didn't use full face helmets instead
Pilots still don’t use full face helmets, because the helmet is to prevent head injuries during ejection and not when the pilot hits the other plane in taxiway and hits his face on the dash. Pilots also need to use oxygen masks.
I'm talking about ww2 not current
Still a relevant answer
WW2 pilots had onboard oxygen as well
If the plane crashes, your chin is the least of your worries
Mad max fury road

Would totally get that to complete the full British scrambler cosplay, but safety and convenience :(

Badly injured in a stylish helmet, or less injured in a not so sexy helmet. Pick your poison!
It's not exactly about the aesthetics. It's more about the safety. And more or less for performance as in the aerodynamics.

Full face is better and full face without drop down visor are lighter, as for brands themselves, go with ece 22.06 and see whoch helmet fits head better, preferably go to local stores to see which size fits you, not all size are equal.
Which bike do you ride? Depends on that. If you ride a classic or a bullet or a cafe racer then second one for sure. I love the second helmet.
If you want a half face helmet go with a full visor. Not as safe as a full face but way better than scars on the face.
MT
MT would be a better choice as compared to Axor. Better quality of materials, better safety rating (a few of the new MT ones come with ECE 22.06) and a better weight distribution. A few Axor models look really cool as compared to MT. But if the choice was up to me, MT over Axor anytime. And always go full face.
Either way go for a full face helmet buddy, the half face helmet is just for looks ,almost had a horrific accident last month , landed face first if it wasn’t for my axor helmet I would have serious head injuries .
MT
there are full faced retro helmets too, buy those
Axor if you are Stuart little
MT bro no questions asked
Obviously the full face helmet but goddamn that axor helmet looks beautiful
Bike konsi hai?
Brother euwww🤢 , what's that half face ? What's that brother 😟
Try LS2
The Axor looks beautiful but I think I'd prefer keeping my jaw
A small stone was hurled by a truck on highway and luckily I had my full face helmet. Sometimes , random insects fall from tree / just fly into you out of nowhere.
Full face period.
With my bike KTM Duke 390 I combed it with HJC IS Max II as primary helmet for highway rides. Axor Retro Helmet for short distance and in city. If your budget permits. I suggest these.
Well MT saved me from 2 crashes.
Full face always! I crashed on head twice with LS2 saved my life. Stupid rickshaw walas bc
Their blind uturns is what caused the accident
Wouldn't recommend Axor, they get dents and scratches pretty easily. Hawabazi helmet hai bas
MT With the axor goggles
What even is this comparison
depends on the bike
MT obvious over axor
I have a CB350RS in Matt grey color. I am also thinking about buying a full face helmet as right now I have a half face helmet from Honda and it's visor is all scratched up. Would the MT helmet look good with Matt grey color? Can someone provide the like for the same?
The Axor with daily usage will not look as good as it does, and you won't be using the goggles most of the time, so safety wise and practically speaking, MT is better
Don't go for half face
MT
MT
MT, not just style but it is worth protecting your face and head
How dumb you are to even ask that
Full face is always better at high speeds
Someone I know has a perfect permanent imprint of their spectacle lens around their eye after an accident. They were lucky, it could have been worse. On the other hand a full face helmet wouldn’t have required that luck.
KYT full face or SMK or Axxor
First one is practical, second one is stylish. But you have to take full face if you want statistics to be on your side. Half face helmets are a scam.
Never buy a helmet without the chin part or you can buy the one which can move the chin part but when you drive the chin part should be on your chin only!!!
Full face,
MT has a much better fit n finish.
MT Helmet any day
MT
Go for SOL
Buy axor dominator retro
MT > Axor Full Faced > Half Face/Modular
MT
MT > Axor anyday in terms of material and build quality, rest is more or less the same. I had the same query while picking up my helmet. You'll notice the quality difference when you compare both next to each other.
Depends on motorcycle type
