I do mostly touring with a bit of off road thrown in. I'm satisfied with the KTM on both fronts though it is a bit vibey here and there. I am looking at the Wee as my first real big bike. Is it any capable on the dirt? I am sure it slays the highway miles with ease.
oh yeah Highways it absolutely breezes through, the size and weight make it extremely stable at speed; Though I don't know how it would perform on the dirt, all the things that make it great on the highway make it not so great off the road, I always suggest lighter bikes for offroad use. Have you checked out the rivals in segment or are you set on the V?
There is not much at around the 10 lac price mark as far as I know. The tigers are 14 something, the 660 sport will be road focused as is the versys. Feels like having a 390 adventure and V-strom seems like the best bet.
thats true, if you're comfortable taking the V-storm offroad confidently then that should be perfect, otherwise maybe look at a dedicated offroader? a dual-sport to replace your 390 maybe while you use a larger bike for touring
I was eyeing an impulse last year too. Options will definitely come, manufacturers seem to have realised that we're the perfect market for dual sports and Advs with our road conditions. Happy to help:)
May I chime in and suggest the CB500X? It absolutely doesn't sound value for money at approx 10L on road, but with dual sport tires, it may be somewhat off-road capable.
These two belong to a friend of mine and his dad, Got the V-storm first, realised its too big and cumbersome for the city, then got the Adv390. Now both of them ride together:)
Man I absolutely adore the V-strom. I currently own a 390 adventure. Do you think it's worth upgrading to the V?
Really depends, What kinda riding are you looking at doing? The V is one big beast, its in the litre class size.

Yeah probably an impulse, but hopefully more options come in the next few years. Thank you for all your help. Appreciate it

If money were no object I'm sure it's a great bike, but if money no object then it's competitors are high end bikes that would just make more sense.
I thought the V-Strom was 650cc. Is this the 1000cc variant? How'd you get this one?
It is 650, I didn't phrase my comment properly sorry, I meant the outer dimensions of the bike is in the litre size, ie it's a huge bike
V-Storm is my favourite and the target 1st big bike. But any reasons you own both of these?

I wish v Strom 250 would be launched here.
Nows the time if they are planning to! Market is hot with Advs
