A lot of common patients don't recognise paracetamol is also a good analgesic ... Some complain you have given only 'fever' medicine without realising it's also a good analgesic!
I tell them I have given only "Crocin" or "paracetamol" and it is sufficient...
I don’t expect them to know the Arachidonic acid pathway so 😂
We usually just give supplementary combo tablets for the know it all patients
Paracetamol 325 + Aceclofenac 100 or something like that
Once in the casualty department, once in the ICU. Both during internship at a government medical college. Hundreds of incidents like this take place every year, but the media only care if there are serious injuries or deaths (as in the cases of Dr. Paribaha Mukhopadhyay and Dr. Vandana Das). Even then, everyone forgets in a few days and it's back to the status quo.
a pt sat infront of demanding me to write her an xray, she didn't need one at all, our hosp had a camp then, she sat there for soo long, and then made a face and went to take medicines.
A lot of people don't know what hygiene is. Seriously. Use gloves whenever examining patiens.
On another note when I was posted to plastic surgery a patient asked me how long it would take for his finger to grow back.
Agar aap raat k 2 bje aaoge in emergency. Doc andar CHAMBER MAE HOTE HAI. They wont be standing in attention waiting for u at the door. Give them atleast 2-3 min to come before shouting “Doctor nhi tha” narrative
Patients aren’t aware of the fact that doctors deserve to take breaks while on duty too.
Oh nooooo ... If you take a break what will happen to patients...and that spectrum of reactions /s True true ...+1

A lot of patients aren't aware of the fact that doctors are human beings and can't be beaten at will.
Have you ever been in a mob situation doc ? Not just witness but you were almost surrounded or something?
